Asyraf claims PH victory
in Kuala Kubu Baharu
Cheers of ‘Pang Sock Tao’ and ‘unity government’ echo at the Pakatan Harapan election operations room.
PETALING JAYA: Pakatan Harapan has won the Kuala Kubu Baharu by-election with a majority of more than 3,000 votes in unofficial results, Umno secretary-general Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki said this evening.
“Congratulations PH, representing the unity government, for winning the Kuala Kubu Baharu by-election with a big majority of over 3,000 votes,” he said in a Facebook post.
PH candidate Pang Sock Tao of DAP garnered 11,818 votes, while her Perikatan Nasional rival Khairul Azhari Saut won 8,303 votes, with Parti Rakyat Malaysia’s Hafizah Zainuddin and independent candidate Nyau Ke Xin trailing far behind with 128 and 159 votes, respectively.
This is according to unofficial results as at 8pm.
Pang’s victory keeps the Selangor state assembly seat in DAP’s hands for a fourth term. She succeeds her party colleague, the late Lee Kee Hiong, who won the seat in the 2013 election.
She was re-elected in 2018 and 2023. The seat fell vacant when Lee died of cancer in March.
For the past 1 1/2 years , PN already max-ed out their support from RR polemics. It has been extremely successful in some constituencies, not much in others, definitely not enough to form a government at Federal level, and in most States.
ReplyDeleteMy hope was for enough Nons to send a clear message to Madani mob that they are going down the wrong path, and betraying their core support... But I guess the Nons continue to be spooked by the Green Wave poltergeist.
This is the victory for the towkays skilfully buying Chinese and Malay votes. Kaum India tertipu sekali lagi as always.
