Annuar: DAP's presence at WTC will spell doom for Umno
DAP's presence at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL) for the Unity Government Convention yesterday will spell doom for Umno at the ballot box, former member Annuar Musa predicted.
"The presence of thousands of Umno and PAS supporters at the Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) in Sept 2019 fired up the rakyat’s spirit, so much so that Umno won a series of state elections that ensued with flying colours.
"God willing, the presence of socialists, liberals and DAP at the WTCKL today will make millions of people, including Umno members, leave Umno.
“And the party is set to be rejected by the rakyat in the upcoming state elections and the next general election," Annuar wrote on Facebook last night.
He was commenting on the presence of DAP leaders for the convention at WTCKL, which houses the Umno headquarters.
DAP secretary-general Anthony Loke, who took the stage, even admitted that he was "nervous" to give a speech there.

Annuar, who is a former Ketereh MP, was expelled from Umno last December causing the party to suffer disrepute during the last parliamentary election.
Once seen as an opponent to Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Annuar's faction was inclined towards forging better ties with PAS and Bersatu.
Earlier this month, PAS secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan said that Annuar has expressed interest in joining PAS.
