FMT:
We can’t have 2 unity governments, says Warisan MP
Kota Belud MP Isnaraissah Munirah Majilis says it is odd that Warisan is being treated like the opposition in Sabah despite backing the unity government.
Warisan’s Isnaraissah Munirah Majilis said Anwar Ibrahim must live up to his claim that he was a prime minister for all.
KUALA LUMPUR: A Warisan MP has said that the country should not have two versions of the unity government, pointing out that her party is being treated like the opposition despite being among the first to back Anwar Ibrahim’s administration.
Isnaraissah Munirah Majilis (Warisan-Kota Belud) said the unity government must function at both the federal and state levels.
“There cannot be two sets of the unity government in this administration.
“If you have Set A of the unity government at the federal level, you should also have the same set at the state level,” she said when debating the King’s speech in the Dewan Rakyat.
Isnaraissah went on to say that the party was not asking for positions but to be treated fairly and to be given leeway to serve in the constituencies they represent.
“This reminds me of the song by ABBA, The Winner Takes It All.”
Isnaraissah added that this was where Anwar must live up to his claim that he was a prime minister for all.
Warisan currently has 16 assemblymen in Sabah which is jointly administered by Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS), Pakatan Harapan and Barisan Nasional.
