JOHOR BAHRU: Johor menteri besar Hasni Mohammad says he will be going to the palace for an audience with the state ruler following a state government meeting later this afternoon.
When met by the media, Hasni said he had already received approval from Johor Umno earlier today to hold the state elections.
“I will be having a press conference at 6pm. But first I have to meet with the state’s executive committee and then I will be going to the palace where I have been granted an audience with Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar,” he said.
“Everything will be revealed at 6pm. The main thing is that Umno has agreed to a state election.”

Can't blame them for wanting to hold the state elections since momentum is with them.
ReplyDeleteI am anxious to see how far down DAP has gone.
Pure political opportunism.
ReplyDeleteThere is no political gridlock in the Johore State Assembly. Harapan had made no moves to bring down the State Government or block Government business.
This is purely UMNO trying to manipulate to gain what it thinks will be a huge majority from the elections.
Unfortunately the majority Race and Religion Zombies , as well as the many clueless Nons will likely follow UMNO.
PH not advocating state elections because it fears it will go the way it did in Melaka and Sarawak, and not forgetting the Tg Piai by-election disaster for DAP
