Foreigner suspected of sodomising minors nabbed trying to flee country

PETALING JAYA: A foreigner suspected of sodomising and sexually harassing several minors was arrested by police in Kedah yesterday while purportedly trying to flee the country.
Shah Alam police chief Iqbal Ibrahim said the suspect, 25, is believed to be linked to four incidents of sexual assault and sodomy involving victims aged nine, 13, 14 and 19.
In a statement, he said the suspect was arrested in Durian Burung, Kuala Nerang, along with a compatriot suspected of helping him evade the police.
The cops will apply to remand the duo today.
Investigations are being conducted under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act and Section 377C of the Penal Code for physical sexual assault on a child and committing carnal intercourse against the order of nature without consent.
It was previously reported that several minors in Section 27 and Section 28, Shah Alam had been violated by the suspect.
