NEGEV (Israel), May 9 — Israeli authorities destroyed around 50 homes belonging to Bedouins in the Negev desert yesterday, an AFP journalist reported, with Israel’s far-right national security minister saying they were “illegal constructions”.
Bulldozers flattened the houses in the Wadi al-Khalil village, sparking anger among members of its 500-strong community.
“There are more than 500 people here. (Now) the children and the women have nowhere else to go,” said resident Sleiman Abu Asa.
“They are demolishing our homes, leaving us stranded outside,” he added as police were deployed to monitor the operation.
“We don’t deserve this. We’ve sought a solution for years, hoping for a fair resolution, yet the state has obstructed all our options.”
Israel considers the homes built in Wadi al-Khalil to be illegal.
Far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir reiterated this in remarks posted online Wednesday.
The Wadi al-Khalil homes are “illegal constructions”, he said, warning anyone who “violates the law in the Negev” desert of southern Israel.
The destruction, he said, was “an important step” indicating the government’s authority would not be challenged.
“The police will fight anyone who seizes land and tries to build another reality on the ground,” said Ben Gvir.
Before Israel’s creation in 1948, the Negev desert was home to approximately 92,000 Bedouins. But only 11,000 remained within Israel’s borders after the 1948 Arab-Israeli War, according to Adalah, an advocacy group for Arab minorities in Israel.
Many of them refused to be resettled in the cities, and Bedouins have continued to face difficulties in Israeli society ever since.
Today there are around 300,000, half of whom live in cities and half in villages not recognised by Israel, according to Adalah.
These villages lack most basic services, such as garbage collection.
According to Arab Israeli activist Taleb el-Sana a total of 48 homes were flattened by Israeli bulldozers on Wednesday, “leaving children and women homeless”.
“An entire village was wiped out just because its inhabitants are Arab” and “under the pretext of unlicensed construction”, he said.
According to Sana, Israel “doesn’t allow (Bedouin) citizens to obtain building permits and then “demolishes their homes under the pretext of a lack of permits”.
“We don’t deserve this,” said Abu Asa.

social media ecosystem environment in which context, history, facts get lost, and the emotion, the impact of images dominates. And we can’t — we can’t discount that, but I think it also has a very, very, very challenging effect on the narrative.”
Notice how he said the word “narrative” three times? That’s how empire managers talk to each other, because that’s how they think about everything.
This is because empire managers are always acutely aware of something that normal human beings are not: that real power comes from manipulating the stories — narratives — that people tell themselves about their reality.
They understand that humans are storytelling animals whose inner lives are typically dominated by mental narratives about what’s happening, so if you can control those narratives, you can control the humans.
They understand that power is controlling what happens, but true power is controlling what people THINK about what happens.
They understand that whoever controls the narrative controls the world.
That’s what’s going on with all the mass media propaganda, Silicon Valley algorithm manipulation, plutocrat-funded think tanks, and mainstream culture manufacturing in New York and Hollywood. A few clever manipulators understand that you can control a society by controlling its dominant narratives.
Our rulers don’t think about things like normal people think about them. They don’t think in terms of doing the right thing or acting in a way that benefits everyone. They don’t think in terms of truth and honesty or the lack thereof. They only think in terms of what stories people are telling each other, and how those stories can be changed in a way that advances the interests of the empire they manage.
Empire managers — and highly manipulative people in general — do not use language in the way that normal people use it. Normal human beings use language to connect and communicate, whereas manipulators use it only to extract things they want from people and exert control over them. They do this by working to control the narratives that people have about their material reality.
That’s why when Romney and Blinken are talking to each other about why people are so upset at Israel, it never even occurs to them to discuss how Israel’s public image is being hurt by its own actions, or to suggest that it could improve that image by simply ceasing to behave in a monstrous way. All they talk about is “the narrative” of what Israel is doing, and how people having the ability to share ideas and information with each other online makes that narrative harder to control.
So while normal people are looking at the bloodshed and horror in Gaza and screaming it needs to stop at the top of our lungs, our rulers are hearing us and thinking, “Oh no, we need to find a way to get them to stop believing that narrative and get them to believe another one.”
That’s what we’re seeing with all the attempts to stomp out free speech both at demonstrations and online. They understand that if they lose control of the narrative, they won’t be able to deploy their armies anymore.
So please don’t make the mistake of thinking your attempts to disrupt their narrative control aren’t working. Don’t let anyone tell you your protests don’t make a difference or your dissident

Former General Mark Milley in Bizarre Defense of Israel
Retired US General Mark Milley offered a bizarre defense of Israel’s actions in Gaza when he opined that “we” in America also “slaughtered people in massive numbers.”
Milley made the comments during a panel discussion at the Ash Carter Exchange on Innovation and National Security in Washington, DC.
“Before we all get self-righteous about what Israel’s doing, and I feel horrible for the innocent people in Gaza that are dying, we shouldn’t forget that we in the United States killed a lot of innocent people,” said Milley, going on to talk about Iraq and French soldiers dying in Normandy.
“We destroyed 69 Japanese cities, not including Hiroshima and Nagasaki, we slaughtered people in massive numbers – innocent people who had nothing to do with their government,” he added.

I’m starting to see an awful lot of creeps telling the truth lately. Both Cuomos are puking down their shirts about bad practices during the plandemic, Biden admitted we supplied bombs to kill civilians in Gaza, and General (loosely applied) Mark Milley is now on record saying the US has slaughtered people in massive numbers.
These people see a Trump Presidency in the near future and they know they are caught. They know what is coming.
It is predictable behavior for these bad actors to try to get out in front of a story when they know they will be found out and exposed, trying to frame the narrative or soften the blow by appearing to be sympathetic to their own victims.
This is not people coming clean for a virtuous purpose. It is panic and self-preservation forcing the truth out of them. They are coming clean to try to save their own skins.
The ultimate win in an information war is forcing the perpetrators to become the red pill; to tell the truth because they are scared you will hear it from someone else first and they will lose the advantage of being able to equivocate and justify.
I don’t believe for one moment that we are watching a change of heart in these narcissistic criminals, but we have turned them into red pill factories and the truth is spreading.

COVID-19 nursing home deaths
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_York_COVID-19_nursing_home_scandal
On March 25, 2020, Cuomo and the New York State Department of Health issued an advisory requiring the admission of patients to nursing homes who test positive for the coronavirus and barred testing prospective nursing home patients. This order was revoked on May 10 after widespread criticism from medical experts. By then, as many as 4,500 COVID-19 infected patients had been sent to nursing homes in NY state. Over 6,000 New York state nursing home residents had died of COVID-19 as of June 2020.[224]
