PATRONISING AND RUDE ATTITUDE OF MODERATOR

 

Yesteray I received the following comment about me written by I dont know who, which was forwarded to me by someone. Lets just read the comment first, it is very short:

Syed Ali Akbar memang bijak mengikut nilaian diri nya sendiri (OSTB : Syed Akbar Ali la brader)
Saya lihat video penuh lebih dari satu jam madani memberi syarahan dan kemudian di interview di sessi dengan Council On Foreign Relation. Beliau bukan sahaja di tanya oleh wartawan berkenaan tetapi oleh teknokrat serta diplomat.
Pada saya madani handle dengan bagus.
Syed ini petik selektif untuk tunjuk dia pandai dan madani bodoh.
Jika Syed bijak ini berada di tempat madani tentu kita dapat lihat ‘kebijaksanaan’ nya.
A fool can ask a question even a genius can’t answer.
Pada pendapat saya pandangan Syed ini tidak ikhlas kerana pandangan nya di selubungi dengan tidak memberi gambaran sebenar.
Saya syorkan supaya tengok hingga ahkir video berkenaan yang memakan masa lebih satu jam (OSTB : Kurang satu jam)
Saya nak tanya berapa orang di kalangan pemimpin yang berani memberi syarahan dan di interview seperti di lakukan oleh madani.
Tolong lah jangan kritik untuk mencari kesalahan dan petikan out of context.
madani bukan lah manusia sempurna tetapi berlaku ‘adil lah terhadap nya, bukan hanya mencari cacat cela nya.

 

My comments 

This is obviously in response to my blog post a few days back where I posted and analysed an opinion piece written by one N  S.....moorthy which in turn commented about madani's poor performance answering questions at the Council on Foreign Relations in Washington.

You can see the interview here. Trust me it is boring. But please read this post to the end before you watch the video.

I was in agreement with N S....moorthy's analysis of madani's poor showing at the CFR. So it was another observer who had analysed madani's poor performance  and I followed through with my own posting.  So I am not alone in my views.

I do hunt alone but I do not have a lone wolf personality. With almost 100 million views in this Blog (thank you) it is obvious that I run with the pack. 100 million viewers must find it of some use to read what I say.

The strength of the wolf is in the pack,

Enough about wolves. I thought the CFR moderaor Mariko Silver (a  Japanese-Jewish American woman) actually sounded patronising and also rude when she was interviewing madani. Of course you can debate this but here is one clip (from the video above) which I consider to be rude.

At around minute 22:17 of the video she asked madani about the B40 (bottom 40) poor people in Malaysia and his plans to elevate their economic status. He went rambling dont-know-about-what for more than two minutes and did not answer her question.

So around minute 24:40 she curtly TELLS him "talk about a little bit more about your economic vision for the bottom 40”. She does not say please or even frame it in the form of a question. She just TELLS him 'talk about this . .'

And you can see madani is actually taken aback at her tone. He takes a second before answering her. Of course he went all over the place and did not answer her question the second time either.  For those who are challenged by the English language they may not perceive the nuance but she was not really being subtle either.

I really cannot understand why this fellow would want to even be present at the Council on Foreign Relations. It is a snake pit of neo-con murderers, a significant number of whom are Wall Street type pirates, a significant number of whom are Jews.

The Chairman of the CFR is David Rubenstein who is the founder of the infamous Carlyle Group. The Carlyle Group controls over US$350 billion worth of shareholding in American companies including their largest arms manufacturers. The Carlyle Group is well known to profit from America's shedding of human blood around the world like in Iraq, Libya and Afghanistan.

Please do the same for Council on Foreign Relations.

Why would anyone want to sit and talk in the same room with the CFR?
