Lee Hwa Beng: Both Hadi and Guan Eng complement each other at two different extremes!

AS PAS slams Lim Guan Eng for his extremist and provocative view over “destruction of Indian temples should the green wave phenomenon arrive in Penang shores” former MCA state assemblyman Datuk Lee Hwa Beng has likened the DAP chairman to PAS president Tan Sri Hadi Awang.

“All of you think Hadi and Guan Eng are making stupid racist remarks! On the contrary they complement each other as Hadi’s statements will make more non-Malays vote PH (Pakatan Harapan) & LGE’s (Guan Eng) will make more Malays vote for PN (Perikatan Nasional),” teased the three-term Subang Jaya state assemblyman till 2008 in a tweet.

In an earlier tweet, the former Port Klang Authority chairman-turned-political observer somehow struck the cord with his observation: “An example of green wave scare! No more temples in Kelantan, Terengganu & Kedah? Believe the tallest Buddha structure in Malaysia at 30m high built in 2001 is still standing in Tumpat near Kota Bahru!”

For context, Guan Eng has clarified that his original speech in Mandarin “has been twisted as if there are quarters who desire to demolish Buddhist or Chinese temples” when he was solely referring to a Hindu temple that was demolished in Kedah in July 2020.

“I am deeply disappointed that there are irresponsible parties that have purposely twisted my speech and portrayed as if I’m inciting racist sentiments pertaining to religion,” rebutted the Bagan MP in a Facebook post.

“It never crossed my mind to use the 3R (race, religion, royalty) issue to gain votes because I am convinced that it will only harm the harmony of multi-racial and multi-religious communities in the country.”

Added the former Penang chief minister: “I hope all parties will uphold supremacy of the (Federal) Constitution which clearly declares Islam as the official religion while believers of other faiths are free to practice their religion safely and peacefully in any state within the Federation.”Pic credit: HarakahDaily

Not surprisingly, Guan Eng’s remarks made at the Tian Fu Gong White Dragon King Tour event in Jelutong on Friday (July 7) has invited a ‘chariot of fire’ from the so-called green wave proponents who condemned him for provoking racial and religious sentiments in the run-up to Aug 12’s polling across six peninsula states.

‘PAS requests that the Communications and Digital Ministry take firm and immediate legal action against DAP’s core leadership who are clearly inciting extreme 3R sentiments,” berated national PAS information chief Khairil Nizam Khirudin in HarakahDaily.

“PAS is calling on Muslims across the country to come forward and file a police report on the speech of the key DAP leader who openly insults Islamic justice for the sake of DAP’s political interests.”

Added the Jerantut MP: “PAS is confident that the PDRM (Royal Malaysia Police) and the relevant ministries will act fairly without fear and favour especially in issues involving extreme 3Rs like this.” – July 9, 2023

  1. Say what you like, these PAS parasites are always working up the emotions of their followers using race and religion as their favourite tools. And succeeding.

Where was the PDRM when the foul mouthed bigot Hadi uttered his incendiary racist diatribes?

And here, they call upon the PDRM to deal with LGE!
