What will the architects of the 2020 gov’t downfall do now to topple PH?

IT appears that the two frenemies Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin are joining hands in an attempt to dismantle the current coalition government.

However, with reports showing that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is gaining popularity and more people are looking at his government positively, it appears the two former prime ministers are probably playing with fire.

As for social media, the comments were rarely in favour of their union.

Twitter user @sonjiaowen said that when Pakatan Harapan (PH) was in government back in 2018, he called out Dr Mahathir and Muhyiddin on their bluff.

He claimed that he knew they were sabotaging the PH government from the first day they formed it.

“When PH was the central government for 22 months, I said that these two had started sabotaging the PH government from the inside since the first day when PH formed the government when they won on May 5, 2018.

“They stopped Anwar to become PM. Many PH members and supporters criticised me then. Now you see what is happening.”

Another user made it clear that he believes both Dr Mahathir and Muhyiddin were behind the fall of the PH regime in 2020.

User @TokPerak8 said:

“Two architects who plan to destroy PH. They succeeded with the Sheraton Move. And now they are back to destroy the government elected by the people and the King. They are planning a second Sheraton Move.”

Nevertheless, Twitter user @Beberuruang noted that Dr Mahathir and Muhyiddin joining forces is a good thing. He is of the opinion that Anwar is not delivering his promises.

“Good. Remove those who are not doing their job. There is a PM whose job is to galavant. What is his plan to improve the economy? He wants to put the fate of the economy under the control of the Economy Minister.

“When will his formula work? Or is it something that comes in their dream when they are in opposition?”

A recent poll from PH’s Facebook account suggests that over 44% of Malays, and over 56% of other races are supporting the coalition government.

However, when it comes to Perikatan Nasional, only 26% of Malays and 17% of non-Malays support the said party and leadership.

On the other hand, user @Razaleh3 said:

“One from the court cluster is now having diarrhoea. The other is an old man who no one wants. Both of them are delirious. Only drunken people will follow these two. Those who are sane can only smile and read the comments of these two delirious people.”

Both are venomous

  1. "Remove those who are not doing their job" - that is for General Elections to decide, not for backroom backstabbing betrayals.
