Rafizi returns to active politics, to run for PKR deputy presidency!
PARTI Keadilan Rakyat’s (PKR) Rafizi Ramli marks his return to politics in style by announcing that he will be running for the PKR deputy presidency post in the next leadership election.
“The result of the recent Johor state polls has confirmed that PKR and Pakatan Harapan (PH) has become third wheel in the Barisan Nasional (BN)-Perikatan Nasional (PN) race.
“However, the outcome [of the state election] must be accepted by all Malaysians who support PKR and PH’s progressive political idealism,” he said in a statement on Facebook.

Rafizi said that he joined PKR in 1999 because he believed that the future of Malaysia is a progressive, multi-racial one with diverse ideas and that his contribution in establishing Pakatan Harapan in 2015 was not solely for the sake of victory in the election but because he was determined to continue defending the progressive politics of various races in Malaysia.
“With the latest political development, multi-racial progressive politics is in jeopardy if PKR and PH continue to be third-wheel for failing to lure voters over the fence,” he opined.
“With that realisation I have decided to return to the political arena and will be contesting for the post of Deputy President of PKR in the next leadership election.” – March 15, 2022
