Mada Corp CEO apologises for snubbing Mat Sabu's handshake

Mada Corp chief executive officer Abdullah Ismail has apologised after being caught on video snubbing a handshake from Agriculture and Food Security Minister Mohamad Sabu.
The video showed Mohamad on a walkabout during a working visit to Kedah. He was seen extending his hand to shake Abdullah's, but the latter did not reciprocate and instead merely smiled.
In a statement today, Abdullah claimed that he shook Mohamad's hand as soon as the minister got out of his official vehicle.
"While escorting the minister to meet the other officers, he extended his hand again to me.
"Since I shook his hand earlier, I got stumped. I was wrong not to shake his hand again," Abdullah said, hoping that those offended would accept that it was a "misunderstanding".
Mada Corp is a subsidiary of the Muda Agricultural Development Authority (Mada), which is under Mohamad's ministry.
Earlier, the viral video prompted anger from netizens, who called out Abdullah's "rude" behaviour and urged for his sacking.
