Let Takiyuddin explain my removal from committee, says Khairuddin

PETALING JAYA: Former PAS central committee member Khairuddin Aman Razali has declined to comment on the reason for his removal.
This follows reports that party secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan had confirmed the move was not due to differences of opinion over Muafakat Nasional (MN) and Perikatan Nasional.
“In PAS, there has never been an instance where an individual has been dropped or sacked due to differences of opinion, unless his action is against the party’s constitution, in which case it is a disciplinary offence,” Takiyuddin had said.
Khairuddin, who is the Kuala Nerus MP and a former minister, left it to Takiyuddin to provide further explanation. “You have to ask secretary-general (Takiyuddin) for the reason,” he told FMT.
However, in a Facebook post, Khairuddin, who is also the PAS Syura Council secretary, stressed that efforts to unite relevant groups under MN were in the party’s political interests.
“It is a platform to unite hearts, nurture the family spirit, strengthen the economy and make the country prosperous,” he said, referring to efforts by Prophet Muhammad to unite different groups under the banner of Islam.
After being dropped from the PAS central committee, Khairuddin, through his Facebook posts, had reminded leaders of the need to work towards strengthening unity between PAS and Umno through MN.
