PPBM cabinet ministers quaking in their kasut terbang

FMT:

Govt functioning well, no need for Cabinet reshuffle, says minister

PPBM Supreme Council member and minister Mohd Redzuan Md Yusof said he met the PM yesterday and they decided there was no necessity for a Cabinet reshuffle at the moment

MELAKA: There is no need for a Cabinet reshuffle at the moment as the government is functioning well, especially with the country still fighting against the spread of Covid-19, said Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Special Functions) Mohd Redzuan Yusof.

He said rumours of a Cabinet reshuffle that had been spread could have been a personal statement made by some leaders, and did not represent any party in Perikatan Nasional (PN).

“I had a meeting with the prime minister (Muhyiddin Yassin) yesterday and, during the discussion, we did not see the need for a Cabinet reshuffle at the moment.

“If the time comes when the Cabinet is seen to be not functioning well, then the decision to reshuffle the Cabinet can be made.

“So there is no need to put pressure on the prime minister to reshuffle the Cabinet,” he told reporters after a dinner with members of the media in Melaka here last night.

Redzuan, who is PPBM Supreme Council member, said all PN coalition party leaders — those holding Cabinet posts and those who are not — should unite to strengthen the government’s administration for the benefit and well-being of the people.

He said all political party leaders should be responsible and fight for the people, especially to alleviate their worries over the country’s political situation, which is still unstable, and the economic situation, which is affected by the spread of Covid-19.

Redzuan, who is Alor Gajah MP, said leaders who are selfish should be rejected because they would have a negative impact, especially in the government’s efforts to curb the spread of the pandemic.

“If there are leaders, any leader, who states he will give his support if he is released from the law, then this is not right. This leader should be rejected because the people will suffer,” he said.

He said Muhyiddin should not bow to demands made by some quarters, including those calling for him to step down, as he had been performing his duties well.

On media reports claiming that Muhyiddin is expected to meet Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang to discuss the current political situation in the country today, Redzuan said the three leaders are likely to reach a consensus to end speculation on the Cabinet reshuffle.

kt notes:

There has been incorrect reporting on one aspect that was attributed to an UMNO demand, namely, 4 of its ministers ought to be replaced. Whilst the number 4 (ministers to be replaced) has been correct, it was NOT UMNO ministers but that of PPBM ministers. The reason is that PPBM is holding far too many ministerial positions for its relatively smaller size in PN.

That's why Menteri Kereta Terbang is now damn scared, as he's probably one PPBM minister targeted for replacement, wakakaka.

The others may well be the incompetent Doraemon-ness, the hated Azmin Smboo-oo-reeet and perhaps even Telly Tubby who are all disliked immensely by UMNO people.

The UMNO demanded post of DPM will probably go to Tok Mat or even (at a wilder guess) Nazri Aziz, wakakaka.
