MUSLIM BROTHERHOOD FLUSHES BANGLADESH DOWN THE TOILET
During the recent India-Pakistan crisis Bangladesh took the side of Pakistan and made statements to that effect which would, could or were designed to garner support for Pakistan and 'embarrass' India in the eyes of the international fraternity. I thought it was not a big deal because this was typical Muslim Brotherhood stupidity.
The Muslim Brotherhood now controls Bangladesh and of course they have a soft spot for Pakistan where the Brotherhood's franchise the Jamaat e-Islami thinks they have a big say (in Pakistan).
Well India has promptly shut its borders to Bangladesh. Not only has the US$700 million finished goods (textile imports) from Banglaseh into India come to a screeching halt but India has also closed the port of Calcutta (Kolkata) and all other sea ports in India for transhipment of Bangladesh exports. Bangladesh is also denied shipping by land corridor through the NINE Indian states in the northeast. Bangladesh cannot send goods to China by land anymore.
Bangladesh is led by a really dumb @$$ fellow. I really dont know how he won a Nobel Prize for basically setting up an Ah Long money lending business for very poor people. His interest rates for "working capital" loans is TWENTY PERCENT !!
Since overthrowing the democratically elected prime minister (with the help of Joe Biden) in August last year the new "leader" of Bangladesh has promptly banned the party of the previous prime minister - the Awami League - they cannot run for elections anymore. Thus eliminating the single largest political party in Bangladesh from the polls. This is the new democracy in Bangladesh.
No one knows when they will have the promised 'free, democratic and inclusive' elections. No dates have been announced. This is the new democracy in Bangladesh. But they want to throw away the existing secular constitution and replace it with a more 'Islamist' constitution.
I think the army is going to get rid of the donkey running the show now. The army has an obligation to the people of Bangladesh.

British–French–Israeli invasion of Egypt in 1956 & on 5 November, seeking to depose Egyptian president Gamal Abdel Nasser and regain control of the Suez Canal, which Nasser had earlier nationalised by transferring administrative control from the foreign-owned Suez Canal Company to Egypt's new government-owned Suez Canal Authority.
Shortly after the invasion began, the three countries came under heavy political pressure from both the United States and the Soviet Union, as well as from the United Nations, eventually prompting their withdrawal from Egypt. The Crisis demonstrated that the United Kingdom and France could no longer pursue their independent foreign policy without consent from the United States.
