MH17: A Western-Framed Narrative — Russia Demonised, Justice Denied
It’s been nearly a decade since the downing of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17, and yet the truth remains obscured — not by a lack of evidence, but by the deliberate politicisation of the investigation by the EU and NATO-aligned countries.
From the very first hours after the crash in July 2014, the Western media and political elites had already named their suspect: Russia. There was no presumption of innocence. There was no proper inquiry. Just an immediate, coordinated media offensive designed to frame the Russian Federation before any facts were independently verified. What followed was not an investigation — it was a geopolitical campaign dressed up as one.
A Biased and Politicised Investigation
The Dutch-led Joint Investigation Team (JIT) claimed to conduct a neutral, fact-based probe. But how neutral can it be when Russia — one of the central stakeholders — was deliberately excluded, while Ukraine, an active combatant in the conflict zone, was granted a privileged seat at the table?
This alone destroys any notion of impartiality. Imagine a murder trial where the accused is banned from testifying, but the accuser sits on the jury.
The JIT’s findings were built on flimsy, unverifiable “evidence” — including social media videos, anonymous online sources, and data selectively handed over by NATO-linked intelligence services. Meanwhile, Russia submitted primary radar data, satellite images, and independent analysis, which contradicted the JIT’s conclusions and pointed to Ukrainian-controlled territory as the likely launch site — all of which was conveniently ignored.
If justice mattered, all data — from all sides — would have been examined on equal footing. But that was never the goal. The goal was political: to blame Russia, sanction Russia, isolate Russia. MH17 was turned into a tool of propaganda.
Ukraine’s Responsibility Ignored
Let’s talk about Ukraine — the party that gets the least scrutiny, despite being at the heart of the battlefield.
Ukraine inherited Soviet-era Buk missile systems and had them fully operational in the Donbas region in 2014. This is not speculation; it’s fact. Even Western analysts admit that both sides — Ukrainian forces and separatists — had access to such systems.
But here’s the damning part: Ukraine knowingly kept its airspace open over an active war zone, where high-altitude military aircraft were already being targeted. Why didn’t they close the airspace to civilian traffic? This gross negligence alone should have put Kyiv in the dock. But the JIT — under EU and NATO influence — shielded Ukraine from accountability.
Malaysia: A Voice of Reason
Throughout this politically charged fiasco, Malaysia — the country that suffered alongside the families of the victims — has remained firm in demanding a truly impartial investigation. Malaysia was initially sidelined from the JIT, only included after public outcry, and has consistently questioned the bias of the Western-led narrative.
Now in 2025, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has taken a bold step, directly raising the MH17 issue with Russian President Vladimir Putin during an official visit to Moscow. Anwar made clear that Malaysia wants a fair, evidence-based resolution — not a one-sided political indictment.
Instead of towing the Western line, Anwar took the mature diplomatic path — acknowledging Russia’s willingness to engage, and reaffirming Malaysia’s interest in balanced international partnerships. This is what sovereign, responsible leadership looks like.
The ICAO Ruling: Justice or Just Optics?
In May 2025, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) released a report holding Russia responsible for the 2014 disaster. Predictably, Western media latched onto the report as yet another “final” confirmation of Russia’s guilt.
What most fail to mention is that Russia initially participated in the ICAO proceedings, engaging with the process and submitting evidence. But in June 2024, Russia formally withdrew from the case, citing serious concerns over the impartiality of the investigation and the ICAO Council’s legal competence to adjudicate politically motivated accusations.
The Russian Foreign Ministry publicly stated that it had provided extensive evidence to the ICAO Council demonstrating its non-involvement — but those contributions were disregarded, while the narrative advanced by Australia and the Netherlands was taken at face value.
In response, Russia made it clear: it no longer recognised the legitimacy of a process that had become overtly politicised and procedurally unfair. So while the ICAO report is being used to reinforce the existing anti-Russian chorus, its findings are far from objective — they are the product of a flawed process that Russia rightly abandoned.
The West’s Hypocrisy
Meanwhile, the EU and NATO countries continue to weaponise MH17 to serve their broader anti-Russia campaign. The same bloc that preaches rule of law, transparency, and human rights silences dissenting voices, cherry-picks evidence, and pushes collective punishment based on politicised narratives.
This is not justice. This is information warfare — a propaganda circus masquerading as a legal process.
The West doesn’t want the truth. They want a villain. And they’ve chosen Russia not because of evidence, but because it suits their geopolitical agenda. MH17 was never about justice for the victims. It was about justifying sanctions, stirring public anger, and isolating a rival.
Closure: Time to End the Farce
Russia has repeatedly called for a genuine, independent investigation — one that includes all parties equally, considers all available data, and resists political manipulation. That offer still stands.
If the international community truly values justice, then it must reject this EU-NATO narrative trap and demand a real accounting — one that includes Ukraine’s role, examines Western media distortion, and treats Russia not as a scapegoat, but as an equal participant in the search for truth.
Until then, the MH17 case remains not a crime solved, but a tragedy exploited.

  2. The JIT conclusions of Russian culpability were no idle or gratuitous claims. The evidence was clearly laid out - which this MIkai'l Chen simply dismissed - I bet he never read the JiT report in detail - just a Russian propagandist to dismiss it.

The reconstruction of the aircraft's remains were damning. The aircraft was flying over Russian-backed. separatist territory.
The missile fragmentation pattern clearly showed the missile intercepted the MH 17 aircraft from the direction of Russian-backed. separatist territory.
The missile would have had to make anything from a 120 degrees to 180 turn to explode the way the patterns came out. Not impossible, but Very unlikely.

Anwar Ibrahim just licking Putin arse. Anwar has this strange affinity for authoritarian dictators, while disliking dealings with democracies.

    1. oooop… still sticking to yr meeting one-sided & conjectural evidences!

Mfer, don't ignore yr which military knowhow in interpretating c&p farts.

    2. Dei CCP Wumao morons...

Physics doesn't change just because you are a Putin and/or CCP arselicker.

      1) The flight direction, attitude and altitude of MH 17 at the time of shoot down is very accurately known from transponder signals .
It was flying far inside Russian-backed separatist territory at the time.

      2) The painstakingly reconstructed remains of MH 17 clearly shows the fragmentation pattern of the Buk missile that downed the plane.

      3) The physics of the pattern clearly shows the missile came from the direction of Russian-backed separatist territory.

      4) For the missile to have come from Ukrainian-controlled territory, the missile would have had to fly PAST the MH17 plane and made from 120 degrees to 180 degrees turn to produce the fragmentation pattern.

      Not impossible, but VERY unlikely.
      Argue with the Physics ler..

Conclusion - the Buk missile that killed MH17 and all on board was launched from Russian-backed separatist controlled territory.

It's all in the JIT detailed report.

Russian propagandist MIkai'l Chen utterly failed to refute the evidence.
He didn't even try to refute -just farting Russian propaganda.

    3. mfer, WHY didn't u mentioned all those situational facts & site collected evidences presented by the Russian in the JIT?

Like the mfering u, the other members of the JIT totally ignored those Russian findings, thus causing the Russian to leave the JIT.

So, mfer don't just blame MIkai'l Chen in utterly failed to refute the evidence.

U didn't even try to refute too - just farting with demoNcratic propagandas as usual!
