PETALING JAYA: A free-for-all over a woman erupted between two groups of men at the Pelita restaurant in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur resulting in RM4,000 in damage and RM1,000 in unpaid bills.

Eight to 10 men were involved in the brawl, at 5.40am on Friday, said Brickfields police chief Ku Mashariman Ku Mahmood.

He said several pieces of furniture at the restaurant were damaged, including a mirror at the counter, a dining table, and a religious ornament on the wall.

The restaurant also reported losses of around RM1,000 in uncollected food and beverage bills after customers fled the scene in panic, Ku Mashariman said.
