If anyone knows propaganda, it’s Amirudin, says Farhash
Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak said the candidates had submitted their protests and evidence to back up their claims to the party’s election committee.
PETALING JAYA: Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak has hit back at Amirudin Shari after the Selangor PKR chief said those who took issue with the party’s election results should not back claims with “propaganda”.
Farhash, who went up against Amirudin for the Gombak PKR chief’s post, said if anyone knows what propaganda is, it would be the Selangor menteri besar.
“Because this is exactly what he is spreading,” the former aide to PKR president Anwar Ibrahim told FMT.
Farhash also said the candidates had submitted their protests and evidence to back up their claims to the party’s election committee.
“Amirudin should instead focus on how he is going to prove his 1,500 online votes.”
Earlier this evening, Amirudin said those questioning the results of the party polls should leave it to the committee to verify the allegations, instead of using propaganda to back their claims.
In a veiled jab at Farhash, he said this included those who had questioned the results of the election for the post of Gombak division chief.
Amirudin had won the contest after garnering 1,858 votes. Farhash, who is a former Perak PKR chief, had only secured 1,215 votes.
Farhash subsequently demanded a forensic audit into the “nonsensical results”, citing discrepancies between the number of ballots tallied and the number of voters.
