Penang Thaipusam celebrations this year will not have 'coconut breaking'

Pre-Pandemic Thaipusam celebrations - Lord Murugam has mucho Chinese devotees especially big towkays % businessmen

For this year, "someone" (in Perlis) will be absolutely delighted there won't be any coconut breaking during the Penang Thaipusam celebrations. He hates it.

The Hindu community, headed by Penang Deputy Chief Minister II, P. Ramasamy, who is also the Penang Hindu Endowment Board (PHEB) chairman,
has accepted the rulings on strict compliance for the celebrations as issued by the National Unity Ministry, the National Security Council (MKN) and the Penang government.
