Cops probing senior judge for alleged sexual harassment
According to a police report, the incident happened in August 2020, though the complainant lodged her report last December.
PETALING JAYA: Police are conducting further investigations into a senior judge who has been accused of sexually harassing a married woman in her home.
Ampang Jaya police chief Mohamad Farouk Eshak told FMT that the investigation paper on the incident had been sent back by the deputy public prosecutor with a request for further information.
According to a police report sighted by FMT, the incident happened in August 2020, though the complainant lodged her report in December.
The complainant, a 57-year-old woman – whose husband was bedridden at that time – claimed that in August 2020, the judge visited her family home close to midnight.
The judged is alleged to have asked for permission to use the master bedroom to perform his prayers.
In her complaint, she said she was concerned when the man remained in the bedroom for a long time and decided to check on him and was shocked to find him sleeping naked on her bed.
She alleged that as he was leaving her house at 3am the following morning, he remarked that she was beautiful and had strong faith, despite his actions earlier.
The police have confirmed receiving the report against the judge.
FMT is withholding the identity of the judge.
