Last night I posted The Cabinet of Curiosities - Part 5 over at my other blog KTemoc Kongsamkok. It concluded my 5-part story about a part of my kiddie days.
Prior to 1980, St Joseph's Chapel along Jalan Saujana Impian in Kajang was built to cater to the spiritual needs of the Catholic estate workers at the Brehma Estate.
above not St Joseph's church but Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Pagar Tras, Sg Lembu, Bukit Mertajam, Penang.
But subsequently Brehma Estate was closed down, with the area given to developments of other kinds. The workers of course left and naturally the church fell into disuse with most of the structure crumbling over time.
Some portions or parts of its chapel remained as a derelict building, in ruins, which was deemed as an illegal structure on a road reserve connected with the developments.
So the chapel had to be removed, and the Selangor State government wisely discussed the matter in early 2016 with the Catholic Church in the very person of the Archbishop of Kuala Lumpur, namely the Most Reverend Julian Leow, the Christian Federation of Malaysia (CFM), and local authorities who all agreed to the chapel's demolition.
MM Online reported: Yesterday, the archbishop noted that there were reports of attempts by individuals to stop the demolition works and appealed to them “to respect the lawful right of the council to carry out their duty and to remind everyone that the decision to demolish the unused chapel was made after due process was followed”.
Not only that, or perhaps connected to it (I really don't know), the MCA in the person of Ng Chok Sin (as reported also by the same Malay Mail), who is MCA religious harmony bureau deputy chairman and MCA Selangor secretary, had among other things criticised the planned demolition works of the chapel remains and questioned PKR president and Kajang state assemblyman Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail in relation to the matter.
Obviously Ng has ballsed it up in his over-eagerness in making unfounded accusations, not realizing the demolition of the ruined chapel had the prior approval of the Catholic Church and all sectors connected. He erred in believing he has achieved a religious char-koay-teow, wakakaka.
abandoned church Kirkmichael, Perthshire, Scotland
But now DAP MP Dr Ong Kian Ming (my good matey) wants Ng Chok Sin to apologize to all and sundry for his gross mistake.
I call upon the DAP and MCA, and indeed if they are also listening in, the Gerakan and Hindraf (wakakaka), not to misuse and abuse the item of religion to make political waves for parochial interests.
Ng Chok Sin has f**ked it up, now Ong Kian Ming adds on to the religious-tainted debris, wakakaka.
But please lah, both DAP and MCA - leave religious issues to Islam and the Muslims, like PAS, UMNO and PKR and Islamic NGOs such as Perkasa, Isma, ulama, etc etc etc, to do a song and dance each and every time a religious issue or anything connected even faintly with Islam (in their narrow perceptions and self-interest driven motivations), .....
..... issues like tight jeans, uncovered hair in non-Muslim salons, unisex hair salons, uncovered hands in posters advertising wristwatches, koe-tai (now that it's the month of the Hungry Ghosts, we'll hear more about koe-tai), dogs (but cats are OK), bonking on the back of a camel (what about kerbau?), Selena Gomez's shows or more likely her tits, Christian bibles, Namawee YouTube videos allegedly insulting Islam, Cadbury chocolate bars, Kassim Ahmad, and whatever else those clerics will think up from time to time.
Non-Muslim Chinese Malaysians, be they Christians, Buddhists, Taoists, Hindus, Ba'hais, Pagans (of Chinese folk religion(s), wakakaka) etc, should refrain from such silly exploitation of their religions in politics.

other abandoned temples relate to preserved ruins in Angkor Wat in Cambodia, Borobudur in Java, Ayutthaya in Thailand, etc
It's already bad enough for the Muslim side to make mucho noise, wild accusations, silly allegations and nonsensical brouhaha, which to our dismay but to Muslim clerics' delights, we get to hear, experience and suffer from quite regularly.
The non-Muslims should not add on to the unnecessary religious hullaballoo.
The most famous line of Erich Segal's 'Love Story' has been 'Love means never having to say you're sorry', which was then immortalised in a 1970 film adaptation of that novel.
So, with that line, does the MM Online news story on 25 Aug 2016 ― Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad apologised today for amending the Federal Constitution by removing the need for the Yang di-Pertuan Agong’s signature and approval in lawmaking - mean that Mahathir did/does NOT love his King and Constitution, to wit, Malaysia?
Back in 1994 when Mahathir was 'Emperor' of Malaysia, meaning he didn't give a f**k about mere lowly kings and sultans, his government passed amendments in parliament to the constitution (Article 66(4a)) to allow any bill that has been passed by the Parliament to become law within 30 days, regardless of whether the Agong gives his assent.
Thus this has today allowed PM Najib Razak to pass the NSC Bill to become law, namely, on June 7 this year despite not obtaining express royal assent, after the 30-day period by which the King would have to give his assent, had passed.
The NSC Bill provides for the establishment of the NSC, the declaration of security areas, and other related matters.
At that time, that was, back in 1994, many Malaysians saw Mahathir as a hero, a 'royal dentist', who had removed the unpleasant fangs of some unpleasant royalty who became unpleasant bullies and unpleasant abusers of ordinary pleasant but helpless citizens(also, as a Kedahan he knows the story of Raja Bersiong only too well, wakakaka).
Raja Bersiong bloke was a Kedahan or a Thai military man, wakakaka
Those happy Malaysians didn't realize the deeper Constitutional significance of Mahathir's move against the royalty, or they would not have been so happy.
What is the point of Mahathir now saying sorry for a drastic irreversible act when he had already done it. No one in government will ever propose for that amendment to be rescinded, indeed no one , not even Mukhriz Mahathir or Azmin Ali or Ahmad Zahid or whoever.
By the by, there is an ancient biblical saying in Galatians (6:7 - 8) which talks about god's justice (god's justice? wakakakaka):
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
In other words, you can't blame god for your own evil - you'd reap it. So, apart from you being evil, god is completely blameless, and never ever responsible for any untoward occurrences (like, say, a tsunami which killed hundreds of thousands of innocent people, or the recent earthquake in Italy which has done likewise), save those acts of nature which are praiseworthy (like a beautiful sunrise, glorious sunset, a wondrous butterfly, a rainbow, etc), wakakaka.
But I have to say that de-fanging royalty would in general be good - eg. just look at what HRH did to Pakatan in 2014 when he approved Azmin Ali as the Selangor State's MB when the ruling coalition had presented a different candidate, Wan Azizah - was that constitutional? And what about what had happened in Perak in 2009?
While we should love and respect our king and sultans and heads of states, we should NOT allow them to do as they please, unless their acts are within the Constitution. They are merely constitutional heads of states, whether that be in Selangor, Perak, Terengganu or Johor.
Yes, Mahathir did a good thing in 1994 but now, because of his inner evil intent, he has admitted he shouldn't, which in turn means he did NOT give a f**k about citizens' rights in 1994, but was far more interested in the Constitutional 'hole' he wanted to and did create.
In 1390, Geoffrey Chaucer wrote in The Parson's Tale (in olde English):
And ofte tyme swich cursynge wrongfully retorneth agayn to hym that curseth, as a bryd that retorneth agayn to his owene nest.
Four hundred years later, in The Curse of Kehama, 1810 the allusion was made clearer in modern English as follows:
Curses are like young chicken: they always come home to roost.
In other words, 'as you sow, so shall you reap'or 'the chickens have come home to roost', Mr Mahathir.
Sebastian Loh demands that Chinese must confront anti-Malay racism, claiming the Chinese-controlled companies called 6.3 Chinese applicants for every Malay applicant, while by contrast, Malay-controlled companies called 1.6 Chinese applicants per Malay.
The Indians are the best, kind of in-between
Thus Chinese are far far far more racialist that Malays. Oh, those bloody sneaky arsehole Chinese.
But wait! NO NO NO, I wasn't going to say I'm one of those bloody sneaky arsehole Chinese, wakakaka.
It's Malaysian Employers Federation (MEF) executive director Shamsuddin Bardan who disagreed with Sebastian Loh's argument.
He said Sebastian Loh has been unfair in saying so (as above), which has been a naughty and unfair generalisation.
Shamsudin said: “There will be some companies which blatantly discriminate against people, but most employers do not look at race in employment. We must find out the reasons why Malays are facing unemployment. What are the reasons employers find them less employable?”
He suspects that the incorrect (Sebastian Loh's) perception stemmed from the large number of unemployed Malay graduate, but this did not equate to racism.
Does this mean our mainly Malay-dominated Malays' universities have been over producing Malay graduates?
Shamsuddin also believes the biggest stumbling block faced by Malay job seekers was their general poor mastery of English as well as their unwillingness to speak the language.
This has been to their disadvantage as English has become the language of commerce and economy globally.
Indeed, Shamsuddin added: “Businessmen are out to make money, they just want someone who can do the job, regardless of their race or religion.”
On religious issues within the work place, he said: “Muslim employees should not see fulfilling their religious requirements as constraints to do their jobs, while employers should adopt some form of flexibility.”
“Take for example Zohor prayers. It can be fulfilled between 1.20 pm and 4 pm, so companies can allow their staff to take their lunch break from 1.20 pm onwards, so that they can pray during their lunch break.”
Shamsuddin said in this respect, employees must be fair to employers, and vice versa, as it was not right for employees religious activities to result in loss of productivity at the work place.
The police has nothing better to do, it would seem, of course other than its IGP keeping watch at the northern border to ensure seditious ashes (of Ong Boon Hwa) do not quietly sneak into Malaysia to be placed in Sitiawan, or the nation will face mucho mucho mucho problema - such is the seditious nature of those ashes.
Thua we have a lot to thank the Lord (or 'A....' - sorry, a censured word) for the ever vigilant IGP. Also seeI ain't no chicken farmer. Wakakaka.
He was talking about the Malay 10th regiment of the CPM who were accepted back into Malaysia, as were Abdullah CD (CPM Chairman) and Rashid Maidin (CPM Central Committee member)
Also JI global terrorists Nordin Top and Azahari, who indiscriminately murdered hundreds of innocent people, were allowed (their corpses) to return to Malaysia But they were Malays while Ong Boon Hwa was a bloody Chinaman
Thus, because the police has nothing better to do, Namawee is in trouble again. He has just confirmed he is a fave target of the Malay authorities.
His latest episode has him allegedly insulting Islam, and the nothing-better-to-do Malaysian police has, with much alacrity, aided one of the Islamic organizations in arresting Namawee. The Lord is not amused, so say his clerics.
He is nothing more than an amusing entertainer, at worst a clown to Chinese, wakakaka, but the Malay authorities have chosen to enrich him with a 'reputation'
The police has even gone to the extent of contacting Interpol to liaise with Taiwan police so as to question 3 Taiwanese, apparently naughty mates of Namawee. Aiyoyo, so hard working one, our police. Their unusual diligence has surprised many Malaysians.
The police-got-nothing-better-to-do has Marina Mahathir pretty riled. She wondered why the action taken by the nothing-better-to-do police to arrest a clown like Namewee has been even necessary, let alone the fact that the police arrest of Namawee has been so unnecessarily extreme.
She reckoned the police was probably prompted by a need to appease certain "oversensitive Muslims", or they (the police) would have still been lepak-ing in Lepakland.
Yes, our Malaysian police has this Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde transformational ability, requiring only a local "VVIP" to trigger them from zombie status into action-heroes.
But Marina said: “We can’t keep kowtowing to people who spend most of their time being offended. I find it rather offensive that they’re offended.”
Indeed Sweetie, you're absolutely right. But then again, our Malaysian Police are made up of 'carma' creatures lah.
Besides, there's no more effective force in Malaysia than our hardworking Islamist clerics, wakakaka. Try them and they're always ready, from Selena Gomez to Valentine's Day to unisex salon to wristwatch shops etc etc etc, to single ladies who are considered 'gatal sikit', etc etc etc again, bonking atop camels, and they'd pounce.
And they have willing captives, where the Malaysian policemen and most of their officers would be among them (the willing captives), wakakaka.
Why are the standards of Chinese primary schools (SJKCs) attracting non-Chinese parents to enrol their non-Chinese children there to the extent that has led Professor Dr Teo Kok Seong to daringly say a two-year study by the National Education Advisory Council had showed that Chinese-medium schools would be increasingly multiracial, with Malay pupil enrolment now at 18%.
There is now undeniably a clear and present danger for national-type schooling. Prof Dr Teo stated to FMT: “These numbers are expected to go up each year. Our research shows these vernacular schools, within 10 years, are likely to become the mainstream schools as more non-Chinese parents are refusing to sign up their children in national schools.”
Goodness, going up from the current 18% Malay enrolment at SJKCs? It has also been reported that it's understandable SKJCs are result-driven, with their teachers strongly motivated to push their pupils to better performances, maybe just for their (teachers) own survival?
SJKCs are thus producing more competitive pupils and better overall results in public examinations.
But some have asked whether SJKCs are setting the standard too high? Their homework are just too excessive - maybe 'excessive' only in Malay educationists' eyes?
All these worryings, about the ridiculousness of SJKCs replacing the National-type school in a decade or so, has led Ultra Kiasu Ridhuan Tee Abdullah (RTA) to investigate and also comment on the supposed superiority of Chinese medium schools (SJKCs), pointing to the strength of those bloody sneaky Chinese as follows:
(i) Chinese students are hard working. What? Surely not!
But Ridhuan Tee Abdullah admitted that the Chinese were synonymous with hard work and the struggle for survival, especially those in the Chinese Diaspora, meaning overseas Chinese living in SE Asia like Malaysia. But in my days, my dear sweet Ms Goh told me I was too far laid-back (f**king idle lah), wakakaka.
(ii) RTA also said the f**king Chinese did not believe in depending on the government alone when it came to acquiring teaching and learning resources - no sir, not when our racist education officers are notorious for their lepak-ness and kedut-ness.
RTA said Chinese parents who sent their children to Chinese schools would not hesitate to fork out money for fees related to extra classes and facilities. What to do when gomen doesn't bagi duit?
(iii) RTA noted the credible fund raising activities of Chinese schools, which held annual fund-raising drives to raise funds that went towards better infrastructure, especially when 'kami' (wakakaka) ta'bolih harap kerajaan, wakakaka.
(iv) RTA acknowledged the quality of teaching and learning of Mathematics in SJKCs, which perhaps has been why Mahathir had wanted the teaching of Maths to be in English - in this the Malay and Chinese teachers were coincidentally and happily together, or Maths (instead of History, Literature or Social Science) would have been taught in English.
(v) RTA observed the willingness of the Chinese to have extra classes on Saturdays, especially for “killer subjects” such as Bahasa Malaysia and English (in Maths? wakakaka, wah Mahathir, lu kotor ler).
(vi) RTA said the Chinese school management boards association, known as Dong Jiao Zong – which combined the management boards of schools, headmasters, teachers and parent-teacher associations – was another strength of Chinese schools.
Mahathir hated them. Wikipedia said: In 1975, Chinese educationalist Dr Kua Kia Soong mentions the introduction of the UEC in his book Protean Saga: The Chinese Schools of Malaysia. According to the book, the introduction of the UEC led to Dr Mahathir Mohamad, the then Minister of Education and later the Prime Minister of Malaysia, summoning the Chinese educationalists to parliament. To quote the book, "The latter (Mahathir) did not mince his words but told the Dong Jiao Zong leaders that UEC had better not be held or else ... He did not ask for any response and dismissed the Chinese educationalists with a curt ... 'that is all'."
(vii) RTA also attributed another SJKCs' strength to the frequent meet-the-parents sessions that were held no less than three times a year. He moaned: “In national schools, if a meet-the-parents session happens once a year, it is considered good".
Amazingly, RTA admitted that for the Malays, “Other meetings in national schools are geared towards solat hajat (prayers), air yasin, buka puasa and raya receptions” ...
... which has been precisely why my FB matey, MCA Ti Lian Ker said to FMT,Parents want education, not religion, in schools and that 'crowds will return' with proper focus, but local politicians like Anwar [Ibrahim] tampered with a working education system after independence to leave their mark, wakakaka.
You know something? Actually, you can sum every Chinese educational strength into just two word, which is coincidentally common for the Chinese (including Taiwanese, Hongkies, Macanese), Koreans, Japanese, Sings and the Vietnamese, to wit: Confucian ethics.
BTW, Confucian ethics is not what Dr Bakri Musa would have you believe, supposedly about Chinese dog-eat-dog ethics (or lack of, wakakaka), which he believed did not have the willingness or capacity to nurture its lagging minority (meaning the Malays). […] Confucian ethics is correctly about cultivating, practicing and promoting the 8 virtues of benevolence, righteousness, courtesy, wisdom, fidelity, loyalty, filial piety and service to elders.
why Chinese are the best monarchists
Hmmm, that the general Chinese Singaporeans or mainland Chinese don't practise them doesn't mean their alleged 'dog-eat-dog' mentality (as supposedly witnessed by Dr Bakri Musa) has been an outcome of Confucian ethics. In short, Confucian ethics on education lay down 12 points, as follows:
1. "Isn't it a pleasure to study and practice what you have learned? Isn't it also great when friends visit from distant places? If one remains not annoyed when he is not understood by people around him, isn't he a sage?"
2. "At home, a young man should be a good son, when outside he should treat others like his brothers, his behaviour should be one of trustworthy and proper, and should love the multitude at large and keep himself close to people of benevolence and morality. If after all these activities, he has any energy to spare, he should read widely to stay cultivated."
3. "I hear and I forget. I see and I remember. I do and I understand."
4. "He who excels in study can follow an official career.”
6. "A man who has committed a mistake and doesn't correct it is committing another mistake."
7. "By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest."
8. "It is not possible for one to teach others who cannot teach his own family."
9. "When you see a worthy person, endeavor to emulate him. When you see an unworthy person, then examine your inner self."
10. "The essence of knowledge is, having it, to apply it; not having it, to confess your ignorance."
11. "Acquire new knowledge whilst thinking over the old, and you may become a teacher of others."
12. "When I walk along with two others, from at least one I will be able to learn."
Confucius also said: A picture is worth a thousand words and The journey of a thousand li (about less than a mile) has to begin with the first step.
Open Letter from Dr Lim Mah Hui to Dr Ang Ming Chee to counter accusations of treason over letter sent by Penang Forum to Unesco on George Town World Heritage site. In his 'open' letter, Dr Lim Mah Hui criticized George Town World Heritage Incorporated (GTWHI) and the Penang State Government for not doing this and that, but he carefully avoided the sticky issue, that he wrote to UNESCO but without copying in the George Town World Heritage Incorporated (GTWHI) or the Penang State Government on his mail. UNESCO might have invited individuals to write in but that does not mean the basic courtesy of copying in the local authorities should be deliberately omitted. What were Lim Mah Hui's intentions? Why did he deliberately fail to copy the two local authorities in? Why? ... perhaps he wanted to catch them unaware? ... perhaps this, perhaps that? Lim Mah Hui should explain!
In 1983 under the premiership of Mahathir, the Civil Service was ordered to raise its force from approximately 400,000 civil servants to 800,000, a doubling up of its manpower strength in a process called Operasi Isi Penuh. Many permanent secretaries of ministries subsequently revealed they were in fact forced to do so, despite their initial reservations at such an unacceptable staffing.
Today the Malaysian Civil Service is made up of 1.4 million people or nearly 5% of our population, or in real terms, 11% of our total work force. That is more than double what our neighbouring ASEAN countries have in terms of civil servant/population ratio.
Oh, don't forget we also have 600,000 pensioners whom we have to pay.
Our current budget for our Civil Service emoluments plus pensions is 25.5% of our total budget or 71 billion ringgit.
Are you getting value for our taxpayers' money?
More importantly, can we continue to afford such a hefty portion of our budget, the pompous largesse of pompous Mahathir in an oil-rich era?
From Reuters - A U.S. Olympic swimmer has accused his team mate, Ryan Lochte, of playing a key role in an incident that has tainted South America's first Games, saying he tore a poster off a wall and argued with armed security guards at a Rio gas station.
In his first account of last week's incident, the youngest of the four swimmers involved, Gunnar Bentz, 20, said the guards confronted them after they had urinated behind some bushes and Lochte tore a metal-framed advertising poster from a wall.
It is the first time any of Lochte's companions has spoken publicly of the 32-year-old's role in the incident, and it contradicts Lochte, one of America's most decorated swimmers, who told U.S. television that he and his team mates were robbed at gunpoint.
Brazilian police have denounced Lochte's account as a fabrication designed to cover up for the group's bad behavior after a night spent partying until dawn, prompting apologies from both Lochte and the U.S. Olympic Committee this week.
What we have learned from Rio has been the confirmation that the USA have lots of liars, only some examples as follows:
(1) The Americans (USA-ites) lied about the 1964 incidents in the Gulf of Tonkin, North Vietnam
(2)The USA-ites lied about WMD in Iraq in 2003
(3) The USA-ites lied in Rio in 2016, as described in above Reuter report. Footnote: The use of the term 'USA-ites' has been an acknowledgement to my South American matey that 'Americans' mean the people of North and South Americas, not just the citizens of the USA. He preferred to call them 'gringos' but I have been more generous, calling them 'USA-ites' instead.
Is it better to have ONE gold at the Olympics compared to 4 Silvers and 1 bronze?
I read an article in Oz that a bronze medal winner is likely to smile while a silver medallist is more likely to frown and feel uncomfy.
The reason provided is that unless one wins a medal at the Olympics one is unrecognized for all the work put in, thus a bronze medallist feels grateful he or she makes it by voiding the greater unwashed, winning at least a bronze medal.
But a silver medallist feels otherwise, forgetting that he or she is among the world's top two, but always troubled by the thoughts that he or she might have missed the gold and thus is uncomfy, and more likely to frown.
In Malaysia, news media like Utusan and Cosmos (Malay media) reminded the Chinese Malaysians who won silver that they let the nation down in not winning gold, even though right at the very beginning those silver medallists weren't expected to win any medal at all, or bronze at the most. But they should have won gold, being f**king Chinese.
Well done Malaysian Malay media, you're such arseholes.
But more importantly, Well done Malaysian contingent to the Rio 2016 Olympics in Brazil. ALL of you have been our heroes, and that includes officials as well and the Minister. Syabas.
From M2D - (MMO) – Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia is looking to contest in several PAS and PKR areas and would be looking to negotiate deals with both parties, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said today.
“This will be based on negotiations. Based on information and data we have, there are certain areas we have identified as suitable places.
KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 21 — PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang has claimed that there are non-Muslims who have stated their support for his party’s Shariah law proposal, amid criticism over his private member’s Bill.
He also hit out at detractors who have said that his Bill was “too general”, saying that it is not specific as it sought amendments to the Shariah Courts (Criminal Jurisdiction) Act 1965 or Act 355 which is part of the Constitution and not a specific law itself.
“I have been informed that there are non-Muslims that support (the Bill). Some have met me and there are non-Muslims who support.
“This is the right of Muslims because under the Constitution. The Shariah courts can only punish Muslims and not non-Muslims,” Malay-language newspaper Sinar Harian quoted Hadi as saying.
What a bullshitting liar! Which non-Muslims would ever ever ever support Pak Haji Hadi's proposed syariah laws?
112 MPs to form majority ruling party or coalition of Malaysia.
BN has 133 (UMNO 88)
Pakatan (PKR and DAP) has 68
PAS has 21
To seize government Mahathir must command at least 112.
Assuming he has 68 but PAS makan dedah and sides with Najib, his new party Pribumi must win 112 - 68 = 44 MPs from BN, a bit more than Anwar Ibrahim's 916 scheme of 30 crossovers, wakakaka.
Can he? Bear in mind he already has 3, namely Mukhriz (ooops sorry, no MP seat), Shafie Apdal (Semporna) and Muhyiddin (Pagoh) [apart from Nurul Izzah and Pakatan whatever], thus he has 68 plus 2 = 70 and is still short of 42.
Just how in the world did PKR vice-president Nurul Izzah Anwar propose that Muhyiddin could be appointed as opposition chief if Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Pribumi) is committed to the reformation agenda?
Hasn't she been staggeringly stupid?
Will she next propose Nika Gee be appointed deputy opposition chief?
Since non-Muslims can lead us down the path of darkness, let's widen the net and ban more than just non-Muslim maids from serving us.
COMMENT
Perak Mufti Harussani Zakaria admits there is nothing “haram” about non-Muslim maids working for Muslim families. However, he agrees with the Immigration Department’s move to bar Muslims from hiring non-Muslim maids in order to protect the faith of their children.
According to the good mufti, “non-Muslim maids are smart” and therefore could influence Muslim children to adopt practices from their own religions.
I never knew the mufti possessed this kind of sixth sense. However, since he is a mufti, I guess his advice does carry some weight. After all, muftis are people of great wisdom.
However, I am confused. According to an authenticated hadith, the Prophet had a personal servant who was a Jew. The servant’s duties included bringing him water for his ablutions.
Was the Prophet not fearful of having a non-Muslim around him when the Jew could easily influence his family members?
But then again, if our beloved Prophet was alive today, I am sure instead of supporting the ban, he would advise our Muslim mothers to stay home to care for their families and educate their own children without having to hand over this responsibility to a domestic helper whose task should be about maintaining the household and not the family.
For what it’s worth, allow me to say that we are indeed lucky to have our wise muftis and authorities who are always keen on protecting the faith of Muslims. After all, we, fragile Muslims are not capable enough to protect ourselves and are in need of a bodyguard team to always ensure the path we follow is free from those who can potentially taint our souls.
While we are at it, I would like to ask our wise mufti and other government authorities to also look into other possible situations that could likely expose our Muslim brothers and sisters, not forgetting our children too, to the influence of the non-Muslims. After all, we can never trust what goes on inside their filthy minds. They could be creating a master plan to spread their own beliefs among us.
Taking this into consideration, I suggest the following be banned too:
Non-Muslim teachers teaching Muslim students
Non-Muslim doctors and nurses treating Muslim patients
Non-Muslim employers employing a Muslim workforce
Non-Muslim caretakers attending to Muslim seniors at nursing homes
Non-Muslim ministers in charge of the welfare of the Muslim population
Perhaps a much better idea would be to stop non-Muslims from getting involved in any area where Muslims have a presence. Therefore there should be no non-Muslim cooks, waiters, builders, contractors, firemen, policemen, guards, plumbers and even fishmongers who are directly involved with Muslims. For all we know, each of them is trying to shake our faith in one way or another.
So yeah, let us not only ban non-Muslim maids from working for Muslim families. Let us ban all non-Muslims from having anything to do with Muslims.
A good way to achieve this would be to segregate Muslims from non-Muslims. By the way, the filthy money made by non-Muslims and the filthy tax paid by non-Muslims shall not be used for the benefit of Muslims as well. We are after all dignified Muslims, are we not?
