Socks boycott protest directed at innocent 99 Speedmart: A genuine case of dumb, dumber and dumbest?

Socks boycott protest directed at innocent 99 Speedmart: A genuine case of dumb, dumber and dumbest?

COULD this be a case of hiring touts who are dumb enough or too illiterate to distinguish between 24-hour convenience chain KK Super Mart and mini supermarket chain 99 Speedmart?

Even if stupidity prevails, the very least is for the head of the mob is to distinguish between the orange façade of KK Super Mart and the dark green façade of its sisterly industry rival. Or unless it was too dark to ascertain which is which.

Or as any conspiracy theorist would suggest, could this be the case of insufficient payment so much so that that the hired boycotters sabotaged or turned the table on their paymaster by purportedly executed the boycott protest at the wrong premises?

Nak boikot tapi salah kedai 💀

Whatever the case is, this post on X (previously Twitter) by Addam Darshan (@AdwinWidanta) is too good to be missed on a Saturday as visible from the reaction of some netizens.

One netizen wondered if the UMNO Youth chief Dr Muhamad Akmal Saleh – the brain behind the nationwide boycott of all 881 KK Super Mart outlets – has not been clear on his directive.

Others simply cannot figure out the level of prevailing stupidity in the presumably pay-per-hire boycotters.

One netizen recalled a question posed to protestors of the Kelantan state syariah law criminal enactment who were all clueless of their participation in the protest spearheaded by the opposition Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition.

Others gave benefit of doubt that the protestors gathered there with the hope that passers-by would notice their boycott protest or that it would not be appropriate to do so in front of the neighbourhood KK Super Mart outlet which opens “24 hours 24/7”.

In short, poorly organised or otherwise, a netizen expressed concern that “FamilyMart could be wrongly targeted next”. – March 234, 2024

  2. Many of the Boycott followers are not exactly the brightest spark in the room...
They need to keep the campaign very simple...boycott anything with the word "Mart" on it.
