LVIV, Ukraine, March 15 (Reuters) - The United States warned China against providing military or financial help to Moscow after its invasion of Ukraine, as sanctions on Russian political and business leaders mounted and civilians sought to flee intense fighting on the ground.

Further talks between Ukrainian and Russian negotiators to ease the crisis were expected on Tuesday after discussions on Monday via video ended with no new progress announced.

Two powerful explosions rocked the capital Kyiv before dawn, and air raid sirens were heard in different regions including Odessa, Chernihiv, Cherkasy and Smila.

Thousands have been killed in intense fighting and bombardments since Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the invasion of Ukraine on Feb. 24.

Russia calls its actions a "special military operation" to "denazify" the country and prevent genocide, a claim the United States and its allies reject as a pretext for an unjustified and illegal attack.

According to U.S. officials, Russia has asked for military and economic support from Beijing, which signalled a willingness to provide aid.

Moscow denies that, saying it has sufficient resources to fulfil all of its aims. China's foreign ministry has labelled the reports on assistance as "disinformation".

"We have communicated very clearly to Beijing that we won't stand by," State Department spokesperson Ned Price told reporters after U.S. national security adviser Jake Sullivan met with China's top diplomat Yang Jiechi in Rome. "We will not allow any country to compensate Russia for its losses."

The seven-hour meeting was "intense" and reflected "the gravity of the moment," according to a U.S. official.

Britain's defence ministry said Russia could be planning to use chemical or biological weapons in Ukraine in response to a staged fake attack on Russian troops, without citing evidence. U.S. officials have made similar statements.

Russia has accused Ukraine of planning to use biological weapons. The United Nations on Friday said it had no evidence Kyiv had such a programme.

Moscow on Monday allowed the first convoy to escape besieged Mariupol, home to the worst humanitarian crisis of the conflict.

"In the first two hours, 160 cars left," Andrei Rempel, a representative of the Mariupol city council told Reuters.

  1. It is better to forewarn a potential recalcitrant party than to punish after the fact.
The methods of sanctions-busting are mostly well known, and the first one is the one that got Huawei into big trouble , by trading through a shell company with Iran.

E.g. Dracula Oil in Moscow is trying to sell 500,000 barrels of crude oil to Bumiputra Petroleum in Kuala Lumpur. Since Dracula Oil has been sanctioned by the Wankees, a USD Sale and Purchase between Dracula Oil and Bumiputra Petroleum is impossible, no reputable international bank will touch the Payment transaction.

In comes Xi-Cock Trading in Shanghai , acting as a shell for Dracula Oil in Moscow.
Xi-Cock creates fictitious trades with Dracula Oil for delivery of 500,000 barrels of Crude Oil, priced at a discount in Renminbi, which is pure smoke, no physical delivery involved.
Xi-Cock now "sells" 500,000 barrels of Crude Oil to Bumiputra Petroleum in Kuala Lumpur, priced in US Dollars , per usual international terms.

This time there is a real physical delivery to Bumiputra Petroleum, only the Real Supplier is Dracula Oil in Moscow, and Xi-Cock[s role is purely sanctions evasion, for a lucrative fee, and helping out Xi's buddy Puting...
Since Malaysia carries out a Very Large amount of Trade with China, most likely US Treasury will not detect this transaction.

But...if this gets found out ...Xi-Cock itself and the Beijing bank that carries out the transaction could be subject to severe US sanctions, including being completely barred from the US Dollar system, and its CFO better avoid ever setting foot in USA or Canada....wakakaka...

  2. Biden's rating had gone lower than 37% and he knew that only A Great Distraction will change his fortune in the coming mid term election. He baited Putin into launching a special military operations in Ukraine, but the senile Prez couldn't predict the huge mess he got himself into as the subsequent hysterical sanctions imposed on Russia only drove up the inflation rate in the US, and his inability to predict the deadly determination of Putin will see him woe the day he decided to take on the Russian bear.

As expected, the US media and its political class went on overdrive churning out fake news and threats.

Russia asking for Chinese military equipment ? So far, Russia used only MQE ( medium quality equipment ) in the Ukrainian conflict. Just on this alone, Russia has destroyed 3500 Military Bases and Air Bases; captured 3 towns, and encircled Kiev. And by this week, the conquest of the Eastern region would be assured. They haven't even used the S-400 , only the S-300 Systems were deployed and so far, have lost only one to the Ukrainians but had knocked out almost 30 of the Ukrainians UAVs.

Russia do NOT need any Chinese military assistance...it has enough weaponry and resources to sustain this conflict for quite some time.

"We have communicated very clearly to Beijing that we won't stand by," State Department spokesperson Ned Price told reporters..."

Is Ned Price speaking from a 'position of strength' ? The Western media make it sound like Kiev is winning and the Russians will soon surrender and depart from Ukraine. Nothing could be more wrong, the US clearly does not have the upper hand here. This sort of fake news is giving false hopes to the Ukrainians and will result in more prolonged warfare and more deaths. China too would not take more fresh sanctions from the US on this on going conflict in Ukraine.

"China firmly opposes unilateral sanctions that have no basis in international law, and will continue to conduct normal trade cooperation with Russia, including trade in oil and gas, a foreign ministry spokesperson said on Wednesday."

In fact, just last Friday, 1037 Tonnes of soybeans was delivered from Russia, the first shipment since 24th Feb, the day the Russian army entered Ukraine. A further 2918 Tonnes is expected by 31st March. In addition, China has delivered two steel shipments since the conflict, strictly in accordance to agreed schedule. Payments all in Yuan-Ruble for such transactions.

As for the bioweapon labs in Ukraine, watch this ... "Tulsi Gabbard : Labs need to be shut down.."
