WHAT ARE THEY FIGHTING ABOUT REALLY? THE RED HEIFER AND BLA BLA BLA
In the picture montage below, on the left are Jewish rabbis or levis preparing for the ritual of the slaughter of the red heifer. This is a Jewish ritual from the Torah (aka Books of Moses in the Old Testament). A heifer is a cow or lembu. Notice they are pointing their index finger.
On the right is a picture of Abu Bakar Baghdadi the first leader of the totally whacko ISIS. He is dead. Notice he is also pointing his index finger.
They are both pointing their index finger. I am sure the Jews did this 'index finger' first because the Jews came much earlier than the guy wearing black.
Below here is a picture (the top picture) of a model of the Jewish Third Temple which the Jewish people are planning to rebuild on the ruins of the Second Temple in Jerusalem.
As you can see in the picture the Jewish Temple complex consists of a huge courtyard. In the middle is another set of structures the most important of which is that cubical building a little to the left. That cubical building is the Jewish "holy of holies". In Hebrew it is called the Baytul Miqdash (in arabic Baitul Muqaddis). Baitul Muqaddis is also the arabic name for the city of Jerusalem (Yeru-salem).
Again the Jewish people came first.
Below that picture is an aerial view of the Masjidil Haram in Mecca in Saudi Arabia.
Here is a quick reference to the Torah or Old Testament. From the Book of Numbers chapter 19:1-6. This refers to the Jewish ritual of the sacrifice of the red heifer or red cow. In the Quran this is referred to as the 'baqarah' or cow.
Numbers 19:1-6 New International Version
The Water of Cleansing
1 The Lord said to Moses and Aaron: 2 “This is a requirement of the law that the Lord has commanded: Tell the Israelites to bring you a red heifer without defect or blemish and that has never been under a yoke.
Ashes of the Red Heifer.
3 You will give it to Eleazar the priest, and it will be led outside the camp* and slaughtered in his presence. 4 Eleazar the priest will take some of its blood on his finger and sprinkle it seven times toward the front of the tent of meeting.
5 And one shall burn the heifer in his sight; her skin, and her flesh, and her blood, with her dung, shall he burn: 6 And the priest shall take cedar wood, and hyssop, and scarlet, and cast it into the midst of the burning of the heifer.
Now here is the reference to Moses (Nabi Musa) and the sacrifice of the cow in Surah al Baqarah (Surah no. 2) of the Quran. Baqarah means heifer or cow
[2:67] Moses said to his people, "Allah commands you to sacrifice a heifer." They said, "Are you mocking us?" He said, "Allah forbid, that I should behave like the ignorant ones."
[2:68] They said, "Call upon your Lord to show us which one." He said, "He says that she is a heifer that is neither too old, nor too young; of an intermediate age. Now, carry out what you are commanded to do."
[2:69] They said, "Call upon your Lord to show us her color." He said, "He says that she is a yellow heifer, bright colored, pleases the beholders."
[2:70] They said, "Call upon your Lord to show us which one. The heifers look alike to us and, Allah willing, we will be guided."
[2:71] He said, "He says that she is a heifer that was never humiliated in plowing the land or watering the crops; free from any blemish." They said, "Now you have brought the truth." They finally sacrificed her, after this lengthy reluctance.
Why this walkabout? I chanced upon this YouTube video. Its about 15 minutes. If you are Muslim, Christian, Jewish or just curious this may interest you.
Conclusion : Dont they look alike? What are they fighting about really?
I think there is a mistake. Both pictures (left and right) are of Muslims. Those caps worn by the men in the picture are kopiahs and they cover the entire scalp. The kippahs worn by Jewish men only cover the back of the head, like a pope's zuchetto, but smaller.
