Rendang Malaysia |
But dumbo Ar-Moe believes it's curry goreng KFC
He wanted the rendang chook to have crispy skin
The Ma' Salleh rendang of chook with skin crispy
Yes, he talked chicken, he talked skin, he tok kok
To him, nasi goreng is so different from fried rice
And a stir fry pan is not the same as a chef's wok
While Kuching pepper is to him not even a spice
Rendang a la Wallace with crispy kok-skin? |
You'd wish someone in Malaysia with a 'Namaste'
And do the hula-hula in the desert of Saudi Arabia
Then on seeing Donald Trump you say 'Sayonara'
Oh, with lovely koay teow t'ng you add macadamia
Orang putih MasterChef only cook mashed potato
That's smothered with coleslaw and grey mustard
Somewhere in that muck you'd find a green tomato
That goes every well with sour vinegar-ed custard
lacks the authentic 'al dente' of Torode's spaghetti Bolognaise |
Bigoted punya orang putih masterchef.. mana ada fried crispy kulit ayam rendang.
ReplyDeletemore of sheer ignorance rather than bigotry
DeleteThey shouldn't kutuk local cuisine if the orang putih does not know anything la..
Deleteta'tahu tapi 'nak tunjuk kemampuannya - bodoh sombong
DeleteMemang nauseaing for a non-event in a cook's measuring spoon!
DeleteA game contest like @Mastercook is tasked to stir audiences' imagination to gain its popularity.
How many times has a traditional dish of any 'tribes' been infused with unconventional ingredients & preparations & win that contest? More so, with some flowery commentaries of no consequences from the presiding judges.
So what's SO wrong about a judge (make that 2) commenting about a outlandish traditional dish NOT complying with his MODERN (western) thinking/taste?
Bearing in mind that THAT contest IS to cater for a targetted audiences WHO r mostly western inclined!
U want a Melayu interpretations? Come back home & contest to yr heart's content about HOW a Melayu traditional dish should be prepared.
Then, if a local judge happens to make such unlocalised 'criticism' THEN u tembak kau2 lah!
Perhaps, it's that REAL silly time again. Some gimmicky irrelevancies, coupled with some sprinkles of politically correct farts of ethnic pride COULD help to lift the gloomy mood.
That, will be the true bodoh sombong lah!
Faham?
nothing to do with political correctness or for that matter, taste when bullshit galore pontificated pompously but erroneously on an alien dish - it's like a Malaysian chef pronouncing mash and bangers weren't stir fried enough with belacan
Delete"So what's SO wrong about a judge (make that 2) commenting about a outlandish traditional dish"
DeleteBeing open to reinterpretations is one thing. Having a preconceived notion of that dish and dismissing the ori way of cooking it, is just biased judging based on that wrong assumption. One of them even said he wouldn't try it! Memang bodoh sombong.
Nothing to do with politically correctness???
DeleteWa lau-eh!
How do u moderate yr comment page?
Based on yr ego?
i think ck have a point, what u all expect the judge to say if he dun like the dish or the way one cook her dish?
Deletethat said, ck only agree if one criticise others traditional way, when come to ccp, he would defend as if ccp is his dad.
Deletewakakaka, shall we all stand and sing "March of the Volunteers"?
DeleteMore like "March of the Lemmings. Ooh Look, a Cliff!"
DeleteSome people live, by happily LABELLING others!
DeleteThese people r the wumao of the lowest kind.
Why are you hanging out in Orang Putih-land , fellating Whites daily?
ReplyDeleteRendang best cooked using beef not chicken or pork or mutton or lamb etc.
ReplyDeleteWhen it comes to chicken meat,Ang Moh mind transfixed to chicken rice style or masala indian style or ayam percik style.
Beef needs time to cook well, not something that can be shown on a episode.
