The most unique creature on earth

Many animals are used as transport, carriage and "beats of burden" - examples, horses, camels, bulls (ox), dogs (huskies), donkeys (asses), elephants, llamas, etc. They can be eaten too.

But one among stands out as unique, highly intelligent and a good companion to mankind, the dog.

Dogs have been used as trackers, hunters, guards, (sheep & cattle) herders, sentries, drug (and other item) detectors, rescuers, guides (to the blind), companions, ...

... therapy dogs (healing the sick by bringing joy, companionship and thus therapeutic benefits to them), ...

... service dogs (a type of assistance dog specifically trained to help people who have disabilities, such as visual impairment, hearing impairments, post traumatic stress disorder, seizure disorder, mobility impairment, and diabetes) ...

... and a host of other duties impossible to other animals like, for example, the cat.

FMT has just reported that now, In Kenya, anti poaching dogs are wildlife’s best friends, which in essence are combination of tracking, detecting, guarding and sentry work.

For those who "believe", only God could have created such a wonder creature. Are such creatures to be shunned as lepers?

Hmmm, how about us spelling the word 'GOD' in reverse?

Stop cruelty to foreign maids by stopping them from coming

Berita Daily - Perennial abuse of maids – end of second chance for M’sia? (extracts):

It is a bombshell truth that some Malaysian employers have redefined cruelty, as seen from the brutality meted out to their domestic helpers.

In 2004, Malaysia was stunned with the revelation that an Indonesian domestic worker, Nirmala Bonat had suffered torture, scalded with boiling hot water and burnt with a hot iron by her employer, Yim Pek Ha. Yim is currrently serving 12 years in jail for causing grievous hurt to Nirmala.

Then in 2010, Hau Yuan Tyng was convicted of inflicting wounds on her domestic helper Siti Hajar using a hammer, scissors and scalding water.

The abuse continued with Indonesian citizen Suyanti allegedly slapped and punched every day by her employer Rozita Ali in 2016. She managed to escape and was found unconscious near a drain by a security guard. Her employer was charged with attempted murder.

maid Suyanti allegedly slapped and punched every day by her employer Rozita Ali

A furious Indonesia decided it was time to teach a recalcitrant Malaysia the much needed lesson – the former imposed a moratorium and pulled the plug on sending its domestic workers to Malaysia in 2009.

It was only after much pleading from Malaysia that the ban was lifted in 2011.

Malaysia, however, seems to have taken Indonesia’s goodwill for granted and ignored the much needed lessons brought on by the 2009 moratorium.

Indonesia’s news portal (Sindo News) recently reported that Jakarta is once again mulling a full stop to its nationals being sent to Malaysia as domestic workers following the recent death of Indonesian Adelina Lisao, 26, who was allegedly abused at her employer’s house in Bukit Mertajam, Penang.

Adelina Lisao (right) and her employer (left)

Enough is enough. Let us stop employing maids from Indonesia, Philippines, Cambodia, etc, or anywhere else save from Malaysia itself.

We have demonstrated we are not responsible caring humane employers, and indeed as described above, have been and are exceedingly cruel to foreign hired help.

One word to describe us Malaysian employers - BASTARDS or if you're female BITCHES.

I've witnessed with my own two eyes and heard with my own two ears how unfeelingly arrogant and cruel some people have been to foreign maids, treating them not as human beings but as work animals.

And worse, they allowed their children to behave towards the maids like them their cruel parents, those bloody ill-mannered wicked brats.

Our cruelty has not been confined to one particular race among Malaysian employers, though frankly speaking, I personally have read more of Chinese employers being the c*b** culprits.

I am aware of even worse cruelty (unimaginable as this might sound) in Arab countries. Filipino maids have been the major victims while previously I have read of Rizana Nafeek, a young Sri Lankan teenager decapitated in Saudi Arabia for allegedly strangulating her employers' 4-month child when the truth was the infant accidentally choked on milk.

On 22 May 2005, while Rizana was feeding the child, he started choking. Panicking, she tried to soothe the child by rubbing his chest, neck and face, while shouting for help. Hearing her shouts the mother came running, but by that time the baby was either unconscious or dead. The family handed Rizana over to the police, accusing her of strangling the baby. At the police station there was no translator so she did not understand the charges brought against her. Rizana was made to sign a confession and later charges were filed in court of murder by strangulation.

Earlier she spent seven years in Saudi jails as she was accused, charged, convicted and sentenced to death for the alleged murder without any lawyer to represent her interests. Legal defence in those Arab countries would usually be bloody useless anyway.

Beheading of Rizana Nafeek

Rizana Nafeek was only 17 years old when she was charged with the alleged murder. The Saudi authorities ignored International law, accepted as binding by Saudi Arabia, that it is unlawful to execute someone who was under 18 years old when they allegedly committed a crime.

The Saudi government then showed its lack of diplomatic respect even when the President of Sri Lanka made a personal appeal for clemency. If the Americans had appealed those Arabs would have given in.

But I don't and can't accept the argument that in other countries the employers ill treated their maids far worse than Malaysians. I am only interested in a just, fair, kind and humane Malaysia.

Stop this employment scheme. If you want maids, hire locals. If you can't, tough luck. We MUST end our very shameful series of cruelty towards the very people who need our kindness most.

2018 - Senimen wants Namewee's citizenship stripped; 2013 - Mahathir wanted same for Ambiga

MM Online - Seniman: Revoke Namewee’s citizenship over repeated provocations (extracts):

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 19 — An artistes’ group suggested that the government revoke rapper Wee Meng Chee or Namewee’s citizenship over his latest music video controversy.

Malaysian Artiste Association (Seniman) president Rozaidi Abd Jamil, popularly known as Zed Zaidi, claimed Namewee has repeatedly been provocative towards Malaysia’s cultural and religious sensitivities with his performances and behaviour.

Hey, why doesn't Seniman ask for the citizenship of the following assh*les to be revoked NOT ONLY for highly provocative ethnic, cultural and religious INsensitivity but also for tingkah-laku TA'MALU:

(a) Zamihan Mat Zin who described Chinese people as being “unhygienic” but doesn't have any shame in accepting his salary paid probably/mostly by 'unhygienic sources, and

chewed by 2 Sultans & banned from preaching-lecturing in Selangor

According to a statement from the Selangor Council of the Royal Court on behalf of the Sultan, the sermon given by Zamihan contained words which were racist in nature, uncouth and included uncalled for criticism of the royal institution

(b) Ismail Sabri a.k.a Bapak Low-Ar 2 who in 2015 was described by Azmi Sharon (a University Malaya law lecturer) as not only a bullshitter but a batu api (provocateur), claiming “... that only the Chinese oppress consumers” and “... only consumers who are being oppressed have been the Malays”.

Ismail Sabri had then called on Malays to boycott Chinese traders but subsequently (a mere 3 months later) shamelessly and with rhino-hide urged non-Malays to support his Malays-only Low-Ar 2 mall and to emulate their Malay counterparts whom he described as “colour blind” in their shopping preferences. Utterlay shameless lah. Well, those Malay traders might be but we know Ismail Sabri wasn't, wakakaka.

Ismail Sabri

he created the Malays-only Low-Ar 2
to rival LowYat mall because of a snatch thief, drug addict, violent thug and convicted criminal

Then there is also Ibrahim Ali and a host of others like him.

But you know something?

No one can revoke Namewee's citizenship, yes, no one.

Namewee was born Wee Meng Chee on 6 May 1983 in Muar, Johor, Malaysia as a Malaysian.

Lawyer and constitutional law activist Syahredzan Johan informed us (via Star Online) that the citizenship of those born as Malaysians (ie. pasturised, not naturalised) is protected and guaranteed under Part III of the Federal Constitution.

Syahredzan Johan

“Even if you do something disloyal, or give the country a bad image… that cannot be a reason for your citizenship to be revoked."

“For example, those who were involved in the Al-Ma’unah movement, they were charged and convicted of waging war against the Yang di-Pertuan Agong … even their citizenships cannot be revoked,” he explains.

The only way a person who has been born a Malaysian citizen can have his citizenship revoked is if he obtains the citizenship of another country, as Malaysia does not recognise dual citizenship.

But for those who have been naturalised, ie. not born Malaysian but gaining their citizenship by application (eg. those allegedly naturalised under the Project IC secret scheme or allegedly as rumoured, a certain Indian Muslim preacher) can have their citizenship stripped for a variety of reasons. I won't go into these here.

But did you know that Mahathir had called for Ambiga Sreenevasan to be stripped of her citizenship?

In 2013 Ibrahim Ali and Mahathir wanted to have Ambiga's citizenship stripped for being involved with BERSIH

The same Star Online reported that in early 2013 (extracts):

Many individuals, including Ibrahim
[Ali], ........ and even former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad have called for Ambiga’s citizenship to be revoked, following her involvement with Bersih.

In reaction, Penang Gerakan leader Baljit Singh demanded for Ibrahim’s citizenship to be revoked, saying the Perkasa chief has committed treason in questioning the “King’s decision to grant a royal audience to Ambiga”.

Earlier this year, Dr Mahathir reportedly said the Government needed to amend the constitution if it wanted to strip the citizenship of lawyers such as Ambiga.

A retired judge has alleged that Dr Mahathir Mohamad and former attorney-general (AG) Abu Talib Othman were behind the amendment to the Federal Constitution in 1988, which removed the judicial power of the courts.

Gopal Sri Ram said this came about after the then Supreme Court ruled in the case of Public Prosecutor v Yap Peng that the AG, who is also the public prosecutor, could not at his discretion apply to transfer criminal cases for trial.

In 1987, the apex court in a majority 3-2 ruling held that the public prosecutor’s move to use Section 418A of the Criminal Procedure Code was against Article 121 (1).The majority held that the power to transfer cases was an exercise of judicial power.

From FMT (22 July 2017) - for more, read here

Wakakaka, another of his multifarious amendments of the already much mutilated Constitution lah!

But Syahredzan Johan advised that the issue of citizenship is a very serious one, saying:

“Any amendment to the constitution requires a two-thirds majority in Parliament, but an amendment to Part III has an additional safeguard. It also requires the consent of the Conference of Rulers, as provided for under Article 159(5).

“That is how serious the constitution views the issue of citizenship.”

Hope Mahathir knows that by now, and if he hasn't, can Lim Kit Siang please let him know, wakakaka.

BEST political statement 2018

From TMI (extracts re-paragraphed):

The opposition-ruled states of Selangor and Penang, as well as the government-run states of Malacca and Johor and federal territories of Kuala Lumpur, Labuan, and Putrajaya, have enforced a no-plastic-bag rule compelling shoppers to pay 20 sen for each plastic bag they use.

Yesterday, Selangor BN information chief Dr Satim Diman announced it was on the BN manifesto to bring back free plastic bags for shoppers in the Pakatan Harapan-led state.

DAP's Lim Lip Eng, who is the Segambut MP, described the Selangor BN's promise to bring back plastic bags for Selangor shoppers as the "height of idiocy".

I judge that description as the Best political statement for 2018. I'll continue watching the new for more succinct statements, wakakaka.

I had previously described Lim Lip Eng as one of the DAP salt-of-the-earth blokes when last year in December he and Ronnie Liu gathered outside of Dang Wangi police station to show solidarity for Zaid Ibrahim.

Ronnie and Lim

I had then written: Penangites would say in Hokkien that they have 'gee k'ee', meaning loyalty of brotherhood, sadly a sterling quality somewhat missing among DAP Young Turks (if you know who, wakakaka), as was evident recently when a former benefactor was rudely and arrogantly dismissed as a 'nobody'.

LKS must remember 1999

FMT - GE14 not referendum on Dr Mahathir (extracts):

PETALING JAYA: The 14th general election (GE14) is not a referendum for the Chinese community to express any grievance they may have against former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad, says Liew Chin Tong.

The Kulai MP said it was wrong of MCA deputy president Wee Ka Siong to make such an assertion in an interview with China Press.

Wee is reported to have said that GE14 presented an opportunity for Chinese voters to tell Mahathir that they did not trust him. Mahathir is the prime minister candidate for Pakatan Harapan, should the opposition win GE14.

Liew Chin Tong  MP Kluang

First, let's get a few facts sorted out - the FMT news article has erred in describing Liew Chin Tong as the Kulai MP. He is the MP for Kluang whilst sweetie Teo Nie Ching is the MP for Kulai.

Teo Nie Ching  MP Kulai

By the by, keep an eye on sweetie Teo Nie Ching who has been a giant-killer slaughtering MCA blokes by humongous majorities in 2008 and 2013 a la Teresa Kok.

Those DAP babes, Teresa Kok, Fong Po Kuan and Teo Nie Ching (and more) have been terrifying to their MCA-Gerakan nemeses. The Amazon ladies sure as hell know how to slash, chop and slaughter, wakakaka.

I wanna be Charlie, wakakaka

I'm the DAP candidate for Langkawi
any question?

OK, now on to the topic, to wit, Chin Tong's clarification that GE14 is NOT a referendum on Mahathir.

Chin Tong is right while Wee Ka Siong has been wrong to say GE14 is an opportunity for Chinese voters to tell Mahathir that they did not trust him.

No, GE14 is for Chinese voters to tell Pakatan that they do NOT like Pakatan shafting Mahathir down their throats as the coalition's chosen PM-designate.

While we may still vote for DAP in general, we won't Pribumi and those specific DAP people who back Mahathir, blokes like Lim Kit Siang.

Remember 1999.

Lim Kit Siang, remember 1999 when we Penangites taught you a lesson not to flirt around with PAS

Looks like we may have to do it again

Pakatan now pro Racism?

Malaysiakini - Harapan forsaking anti-racism for GE14 win, says UndiRosak activist (extracts):

don't forget to ... ooops ... wrong photo

ah, that's better, don't forget to vote my Pribumi even if you 'nons' are NOT allowed to join my party

Pakatan Harapan is so desperate to win in the forthcoming 14th general election that it is willing to sacrifice its principles against racism and authoritarianism, UndiRosak campaigner Maryam Lee has claimed.

In an interview with the weekend edition of Utusan Malaysia, Maryam said the inclusion of Bersatu Pribumi as a Harapan member had destroyed the opposition pact's legitimacy to change the country's political culture.

She also said so long as the opposition practices politics of obsession, idolises their leaders and makes use of religious sentiments, there will be no progress in the country's political culture.

"When the leaders are practicing such toxic politics, then it is comes as no surprise that their followers are also equally obsessed and will bully anyone with a different view," said Maryam, who recently lodged a police report following online attacks against her.

The UiTM graduate pointed out that issues such as housing, minimum wage, education and medical facilities should be brought front and centre, but become drowned out by the infighting and bickering between Harapan component parties.

She said this when asked for comments over her criticisms of the opposition, which led to some labelling her as a government sympathiser.

Maryam had recently published a video on her personal Facebook wall showing doctored images, sexist comments, and accusations that she was "paid by BN," which she received after participating in a Jan 25 forum discussing the UndiRosak or spoiled votes campaign.

She blamed Harapan supporters for the attacks, and condemned leaders from the coalition for their "silence" despite previously decrying "toxic politics."

Leaders from the coalition later denounced the misogynist and personal attacks.

Perkasa, formed after the 2008 general elections to ensure Malay supremacy

it's a conservative, extreme-right, ethnic Malay organisation is led by its president Ibrahim Ali, with Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, the former Prime Minister of Malaysia, as advisor
