Revisiting Fifa's scathing verdict on 'heritage players' saga

Revisiting Fifa's scathing verdict on 'heritage players' saga

On Nov 3, the International Federation of Association Football's (Fifa) appeals committee announced that it had rejected the Football Association of Malaysia’s (FAM) appeal against the sanctions imposed on seven “heritage” players who were granted Malaysian citizenship, allegedly based on the forgery and falsification of identification documents.

The organisation also stated that FAM and the players have 10 days from the date of the announcement to request the written grounds of the decision, and 21 days to file a possible appeal before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

Stunned by the rejection of its appeal, FAM announced that it will be taking the matter to the CAS, the final arbiter in such disputes.

FAM had also recently appointed former chief justice Raus Sharif to head an independent committee to investigate the matter, with the committee’s findings report expected to be submitted to FAM within six weeks.

As Fifa doubles down on its sanctions against FAM and the players, Malaysiakini revisits the findings of its disciplinary committee, released on Oct 6, which condemned the use of allegedly forged documents and detailed the various discrepancies it had identified.

‘Strikes at core of football’s fundamental principles’

In its scathing 19-page grounds of judgment, the committee said that FAM’s conduct “strikes at the very core of football’s fundamental principles.”

In a written decision, the disciplinary committee's deputy chairperson, Jorge Palacio, had said the committee was “comfortably satisfied” that the birth certificates submitted by FAM in several eligibility proceedings had been forged and/or falsified, to alter the players’ grandparents’ birthplaces.

He said the Malaysian authorities, through the National Registration Department (NRD), had even admitted they had never received the original birth certificates, and instead, issued their own copies based on secondary information and foreign documents from Argentina, Brazil, and Spain.

“This admission, so finds the committee, indicates that the Malaysian government’s validation process may not have been based on original documents, which calls into question the thoroughness of FAM’s verification process.

"Based on these findings, the committee concluded that the forged documents were not a mere formality but a decisive factor in the players’ eligibility," Palacio said.

He stressed that, therefore, this had a direct impact on the integrity of Malaysia’s match against Vietnam in June this year, where all seven players were fielded, and in which Malaysia won.

Lacking proper diligence, scrutiny

Palacio said that the committee was left without doubt - and contrary to the FAM's assertion of diligence - that the fact Fifa was able to obtain the relevant original documents without hindrance, demonstrated that FAM and the seven foreign players did not exercise the necessary level of scrutiny or care.

He added that FAM’s own admission that it had been contacted by external agencies regarding the players’ heritage and still failed to verify the authenticity of the documents independently further highlights a lack of proper diligence.

Palacio also rejected the premise of FAM's argument previously, that the violation involving the seven players was merely formal.

“The effect of the forgery is severe and goes beyond a mere technicality as the respondents tried to depict it," he said.

Palacio also dismissed claims that Fifa had confirmed the players’ eligibility in the past, clarifying that Fifa correspondence merely stated that the players appeared to be eligible on the basis of the information provided at the time.

He said that had the organisation received the original, unaltered documents, “it would have arrived at a different conclusion”, as the required ancestral link does not exist.

Fifa’s case handling criticised

Johor Regent Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim had previously criticised Fifa’s handling of the case involving the seven suspended players and the RM1.8 million fine imposed on the FAM.

In a statement on social media, the former FAM president said that Fifa had previously approved the players’ naturalisation, and questioned what had prompted the sudden reversal, and whether external influences had a hand in the decision.

Yesterday, following the appeals committee’s decision upholding the disciplinary committee’s ruling, Tunku Ismail described Fifa’s move as “politically motivated” and a “misapplication of the law.”

Johor Regent Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim

“Fifa continues to punish the players by misapplying the law, whereby Article 22 of the Fifa code states it can only sanction those who falsify or use a falsified document, and none of that applies to the players.

“In other words, the sanction is imposed without being based on the law and appears to be ‘politically motivated’ rather than anything else,” Tunku Ismail said on X.

He also said that he would continue to support FAM's case in its forthcoming hearing at the CAS.

However, back in October, Palacio had stressed that the said Article 22 of the Fifa Disciplinary Code empowers the committee to sanction both the perpetrators of forged or falsified documents and the association to which they belong.

“The wording of such provision is purposely broad, with the aim of encompassing all forms of document forgery or falsification, or their use in general, regardless of intent.

“This provision has been designed to prevent the use of defences based on ignorance or procedural compliance, and it carries severe sanctions, as forgery is considered a criminal offence in most jurisdictions," he explained.

Conduct erodes trust, fairness in competition

Palacio said that Fifa also found that both the players and FAM knowingly - or at least effectively - gained an unfair advantage by using fake ancestry documents to make the players eligible for Malaysia

Hinting at alleged complicity in the affair, Palacio said that FAM "effectively, illegally, and successfully enjoyed the consequences of such use", which he said deserved an adequate sanction.

"The committee underlined that presenting fraudulent documentation with the purpose of gaining eligibility to play for a national team constitutes, pure and simple, a form of cheating, which cannot in any way be condoned.

“Such conduct erodes trust in the fairness of competitions and jeopardises the very essence of football as an activity founded on honesty and transparency.

"In addition, the committee noted that the players ultimately achieved their objective: they obtained falsified documentation, used it in the aforementioned Fifa proceedings, and were subsequently fielded in an official match with a significant impact on the end result of the match.

"This sequence of actions significantly aggravates the seriousness of the case, as it demonstrates a deliberate and successful attempt to circumvent the rules for personal and sporting gain," Palacio added.

He said that given the gravity of the situation, Fifa deemed that a mere match suspension would be extremely inadequate, in light of these circumstances.

"The sanction imposed must not only punish the wrongdoing but also serve as a strong deterrent and educational measure for the players involved and the wider football community, reaffirming Fifa’s zero tolerance stance on fraudulent conduct," Palacio added.

THE POLICE, HOME AFFAIRS AT THAT TIME KNEW WHAT HAPPENED TO KOH, AMRI, HELMI, RUTH ETC

Watch this first: "Then that somebody is going to prison".

“It would probably distress the sense of justice of the man on the street that he will be contributing towards the payment of damages awarded to be paid by the very person entrusted to protect him and who have been found liable for abusing such power,” he added.

Previously it was SUHAKAM (in 2020) that named the Police as being involved in the abduction of Pastor Koh and Amri Che Mat.

Among other things the Suhakam report (2020) said:

  • "The Commission has found that both Pastor Raymond Koh and Amri Che Mat were victims of enforced disappearance, and there is credible evidence to suggest that the Special Branch of the Royal Malaysia Police were involved in their abductions."
  • "The police have failed in their duty to investigate properly, and agents of the state were culpable in their disappearances."

However SUHAKAM is not a Court of Law therefore their findings or rulings have no force of law. Keputusan SUHAKAM tidak mempunyai kuasa undang-undang.

But now there is a decision by the High Court of Malaya that has clearly held the Police responsible for the disappearances of Pastor Koh and Amri Che Mat. The High Court has ordered the gomen and the Police to pay damages / compensation of almost RM40 million to the families of Pastor Koh and Amri Che Mat.

If that is not "involvement" or culpability then I dont know what is.

And yesterday, further to his judgement, the High Court judge Su Tiang Joo delivered a harsh critique of state accountability over this case. Here are Malay Mail (click here) and Yahoo News  (click here):

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 6 — In a scathing commentary that went beyond his landmark rulings yesterday, High Court judge Su Tiang Joo delivered a harsh critique of state accountability, lamenting the irony of using public funds to compensate for the wrongdoings of government servants.

His remarks came as he ordered the government to pay nearly RM37 million to the family of Pastor Raymond Koh for enforced disappearance and over RM3 million to that of activist Amri Che Mat for negligence in a police investigation.

Su ordered compensation of RM10,000 per day from the day Koh went missing until he is found — an amount that currently exceeds RM31 million — to be placed in a trust fund until his fate is ascertained. Koh has been missing for a total of 3,187 days as of November 5.

“The RM10,000 is not a figure I plucked from the air. It was a figure that was given by the Court of Appeal involving false imprisonment at RM10,000 per day as given for deprivation of personal liberty under the Federal Constitution,” he said in justifying the sum.

However, the judge acknowledged the irony in awarding such large sums, noting that the higher the damages, the more public funds would ultimately be used to pay for the wrongdoings of government servants.

“It offends the concept of fairness, reasonableness and justice,” he said.

He then quoted former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher’s 1983 speech at the Conservative Party Conference to illustrate his point.

“Let us never forget this fundamental truth, the State has no source of money other than money which people earn themselves.

“If the State wishes to spend more it can do so only by borrowing your savings or by taxing you more.

“It is no good thinking that someone else will pay ― that ‘someone else’ is you. There is no such thing as public money; there is only taxpayers’ money,” he quoted.

Su also cited the case of Mongolian interpreter Altantuya Shaariibuu, who was murdered by two Royal Malaysia Police officers, noting how the Shah Alam High Court had found both the officers and the Malaysian government vicariously liable for her death in 2022.

The court had ordered the defendants in that case to pay RM5 million in damages, with the case currently pending appeal at the Court of Appeal.

He said the same principle applied to Koh’s and Amri’s cases — that the higher the award, the more public funds would be used — and called it a bitter irony.

“It would probably distress the sense of justice of the man on the street that he will be contributing towards the payment of damages awarded to be paid by the very person entrusted to protect him and who have been found liable for abusing such power,” he added.

Amri was abducted in Perlis around midnight on November 24, 2016, when his vehicle was surrounded by three cars and five men.

Koh was abducted on February 13, 2017, in Selangor after his car was surrounded by seven vehicles and about 15 masked individuals.

In April 2019, the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (Suhakam) concluded that both men were victims of enforced disappearance carried out by the police’s Special Branch.

My Comments:

High Court judge Su Tiang Joo's remarks:  very person entrusted to protect him and who have been found liable for abusing such power   clearly means the Police were liable.

The High Court Judge clearly means the Police abused their power. This was the ruling in the High Court of Malaya as well as in follow up remarks by the presiding judge Mr Su Tiang Joo.

This directly implies that the Police knew what happened to Pastor Koh and Amri Che Mat.

No grand prizes for guessing that the Police also knew what happened to Pastor Helmi and his wife Ruth Sitepu - the other couple who have gone missing.

Habeas Corpus ? Where are their bodies?

The High Court has ordered the gomen and the Police to pay the family of Pastor Koh RM10,000 for each day that goes by without Pastor Koh being returned to his family.

  • So now this becomes a question for the present IGP as well as the current Minister of Home Affairs.
  • You must make a statement.
  • And think extremely very carefully before you make any statements.
  • Because human lives are involved
  • And most likely these people are no more alive.
  • That means foul play and possibly murder.

The Home Minister today, the Home Ministry today, the IGP today and the Police today are not found liable for abusing such power . These cases happened in 2016 and 2017.

However the Home Minister today, the Home Ministry today, the IGP today and the Police today are responsible to bringing this matter to a proper and full closure.

There is now a ruling by the High Court of Malaya that the Police officers (of 2016-2017) were  liable in the disappearances of Pator Koh and Amri Che Mat. This is a ruling of the Court of Law.

By ordering "compensation of RM10,000 per day from the day Koh went missing until he is found"  the High Court has now made it the responsibility of the

  • present Home Minister,
  • the Home Ministry today,
  • the present IGP and
  • the Police today
to find Pastor Koh.

Each day that the present Home Minister, the Home Ministry today, the present IGP and the Police today do not deliver Pastor Koh to his family it will cost the taxpayer RM10,000. Failure to deliver Pastor Koh to his family and burden the taxpayer with RM10,000 compensation per day will shift blame on the present Home Minister and the present IGP. Please take note.

And if Pastor Koh and Amry Che Mat are found to be not alive (which is my strongest suspicion) it immediately indicates foul play and murder. And because more than one person was abducted and disappeared it means serial murder.

And for that   the previous Home Minister at the relevant time, the Home Ministry then, the IGP at that time and the Police officers at that time must be brought into scrutiny and possible prosecution.

Too many people have gone missing. Pastor Koh, Amri Che Mat, Pastor Helmi and his wife Ruth Sitepu. Human rights groups have mentioned others as well. These cases will not go away.

Here is the real problem for the culprits involved.
Dulu the sun never set on the Barisan Nasional / UMNO gomen.
All sorts of crap happened then: Altantuya, Pastor Koh, Amri etc.
Then in 2018 the BN / UMNO got kicked out.
Pretty soon these cases will become election issues.

Siti Kasim: Orders from the top must stop; hold rogue cops getting minions to do dirty work accountable

Siti Kasim: Orders from the top must stop; hold rogue cops getting minions to do dirty work accountable

THIS is an oft heard excuse in cases of criminal wrongdoing involving the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM).

Often enough, this is also used as a get-out-of-jail card as police officers implicated in cases gone awry will claim they were just following instructions.

Referring to the recent Kuala Lumpur High Court judgements awarding damages to the families of Pastor Raymond Koh and Amri Che Mat, human rights activist Siti Kasim urged the government to look into claims that the abductions were carried out by members of state agencies with the usual “orders coming from the top”.

Highlighting that both cases occurred under the watch of former premier Datuk Seri Najib Razak, the human rights activist and lawyer hoped that the Madani administration will strive to bring greater transparency to the justice system by pursuing “rogue officers who get their minions to do their dirty work”.

Editor’s Note: Social activist Amri who is also a Syiah follower disappeared on Nov 24, 2016 while Koh disappeared on Feb 13, 2017.

“It is not that the police are unable to do their job but they were not sincere or thorough in their investigations in the search for Pastor Koh and Amri Che Mat,” she pointed out in her latest YouTube rant from Volendam in the Netherlands where she is attending a three-month special programme for human rights defenders.

“The families have tried everything to get justice but until now have yet to receive any news or updates from the police. They were forced to bring this suit against the government and the police.

“Congratulations Susanna Liew (Pastor Koh’s wife) and the wife of Amri Che Mat (Noorhayati Ariffin). I hope the current government will not appeal this decision.”

Editor’s Note: The Attorney-General’s Chambers has since announced that it will appeal both decisions.

‘Unfair to punish only order takers’

Unable to hide her anger and contempt, the Orang Asli advocate argued that too often, criminal acts in Malaysia go unpunished as officers were acting on “orders from the top”.

“Who is then to be held accountable,” she demanded to know.

Referencing her own experience when she was accused of obstructing the Federal Territories Islamic Religious Department (JAWI) officers from carrying out duties, Siti Kasim further outlined how police officers – acting on “orders from the top” – detained her in the lock up and made her don prison outfits, among other indignities.

The High Court has awarded lawyer and activist Siti Kasim RM160,000 in damages after allowing her civil suit against the Federal Territories Islamic Religious Department (Jawi), 15 of its officers, and seven others over her unlawful arrest and detention during a private fundraising event in 2016.

In his judgment, High Court Judge Su Tiang Joo ordered the defendants to pay RM100,000 in exemplary damages, RM60,000 in aggravated damages, and RM100,000 in legal costs to the plain...

Calling the government to take action, the 62-year-old legal eagle further argued that it would be unfair to punish those further down the chain of command for simply following the clear and explicit instructions of their superiors.

However, those who issued the orders “must NOT be allowed to get away with murder (pun fully intended)”.

As such, she insinuated that the damages awarded was the court’s way of telling the police that such practices will no longer be tolerated.

Siti Kasim is not alone as many Malaysians concur with her sentiment as evident from the 36K views and 2K likes and 561 comments to her “arahan dari atas (orders from the top)” video.

One obviously disgusted commenter claimed that PDRM has lost all credibility for “the question remains as to who is ultimately responsible for giving that particular order.”

He also berated the Home Minister and the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) in the breakdown of the chain of command as well as the lack of accountability and transparency.

Many taxpayers were also unhappy that public funds were once again being used to cover up the failings of PDRM. It was argued that the whole corrupt chain of command needed to be exposed and brought to justice.

The scenario was succinctly captured by one commenter who used a Malay proverb to illustrate the situation – “harapkan pegar, pegar makan padi (literally, “rely on the pheasant, the pheasant eats the rice”).

Suffice to say, the public is fed up with unnamed, rogue officers giving orders without ever having to face any consequences for their actions.

Doubtlessly, the KL High Court decisions are a clear beacon call for change. – Nov 7, 2025

Barjoyai Bardai says many Bumiputera entrepreneurs have written off the policy and Bumiputera privileges entirely

PETALING JAYA: The New Economic Policy (NEP) and other pro-Bumiputera privileges have largely benefited political cronies rather than the wider Bumiputera community, says economist Barjoyai Bardai, who urged a shift from dependency to competitiveness and self-reliance.

He told FMT that most Bumiputeras, especially those in the B40 group, regard these privileges as “practically non-existent”.

Barjoyai said while some still hope that a future government might genuinely uplift small and micro Bumiputera businesses, many now see the NEP and similar policies as “dirty words” that undermine their credibility as entrepreneurs.

According to him, pro-Bumiputera policies had historically generated economic gains for political elites, but the majority of Bumiputeras have been left behind.

“Most (Bumiputeras) have never enjoyed any real benefit from these policies,” he said. “They have been reserved for a small circle of political cronies and their associates. As a result, many Bumiputera entrepreneurs have written off the NEP and Bumiputera privileges entirely.”

Instead, he said, Bumiputera businesses should focus on building community-based support networks and strengthening cooperation within the ecosystem.

“Long-term sustainability requires Bumiputera firms to evolve beyond protection,” he said, warning that continued reliance on special privileges breeds complacency and weakens the drive to improve.

“Removing Bumiputera privileges would enhance the community’s image and status internationally, positioning them as credible entrepreneurs.

“The struggle for Bumiputera rights is not about special treatment but about ensuring they are not sidelined in national life — something that has occurred under certain state and local government policies.”

He was responding to concerns raised by the Malay Economic Action Council (MTEM) that the Malaysia-US Reciprocal Trade Agreement could undermine affirmative action policies for Bumiputeras.

Barjoyai said trade liberalisation could benefit Bumiputera businesses if supported by proper policies.

He said that with the right support — including training, R&D incentives, and export facilitation — Bumiputera firms can use trade liberalisation as a springboard for growth.

Warning that decades of protectionist policies had fostered dependency and stagnation, Barjoyai said greater competition would strengthen the business ecosystem by driving productivity, promoting best practices, and enhancing transparency and accountability — provided firms have adequate access to capital, talent, and technology.

“Many tariff protections in Malaysia actually benefit non-Bumiputera businesses,” he said. “This overprotection has led to complacency, overreliance on government contracts, limited innovation, weak risk-taking, and poor international branding.

“To thrive globally, all Malaysian firms must be agile, efficient, and customer-focused — qualities that rarely develop in overly protected environments,” he added.

IIUM regrets lecturer's claim that Romans learned shipbuilding from Malays

The International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) has expressed regret over a “misleading” statement made by one of its academics.

IIUM stressed that the academic’s statement was a personal opinion and did not represent the university’s official position.

Although the university did not name the academic, its statement followed another controversy involving Arabic language lecturer Solehah Yaacob, who claimed that the Romans learned shipbuilding from the Malays.

“As an institution of higher learning, IIUM upholds the principle of academic freedom that allows scholars to share their views, conduct research, and contribute to scholarly discourse.

“However, IIUM also emphasises that any public statement must be made responsibly, grounded in academic accuracy, and in line with professional standards,” the university said yesterday.

IIUM added that it is reviewing the statements made by the academic internally in accordance with existing procedures, and appropriate action will be taken.

The university further reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the integrity and quality of education and scholarship among its academics.

“IIUM believes that academics bear a great responsibility to educate society with authentic and factual knowledge,” it said.

The university also said it had previously cautioned the academic to be more responsible when offering views on academic matters.

Earlier, a video of Solehah’s lecture went viral, in which she claimed that the Romans learned to build ships from the Malays.

The lecturer’s claim drew backlash and criticism, including from the university’s Academic Staff Association (ASA), which urged IIUM to take prompt and appropriate action.

ASA said the academic’s statement should not be taken lightly as it could harm the university’s reputation and good name.

Last year, Solehah also sparked controversy after sharing her view that Prophet Muhammad’s wife, Siti Khadijah Khuwailid, might have originated from the Malay realm.

FMT:

Don’t appeal Pastor Koh, Amri Che Mat rulings, PKR man tells govt

Lee Chean Chung says that to do so would risk undermining public confidence in the very ideals the government has pledged to uphold

Petaling Jaya MP Lee Chean Chung said the rulings had drawn international attention, with global media outlets reporting extensively on the case.

PETALING JAYA: PKR’s Lee Chean Chung has urged the government not to appeal the High Court rulings holding it and the police liable for the enforced disappearances of a pastor and an activist.

Lee, the Petaling Jaya MP, said the rulings reflected the values of compassion, respect, and trust espoused by the Madani government.

“The decision to appeal risks undermining public confidence in the very ideals the government has pledged to uphold,” he said in a statement.

The Kuala Lumpur High Court in its ruling on Wednesday had ordered the government and police to pay a sum of more than RM37 million over the state’s involvement in the abduction of Pastor Raymond Koh.

Koh was abducted on Feb 13, 2017 while driving along Jalan SS4B/10 in Petaling Jaya. During the trial, the court heard that five masked men in black military outfits had pulled Koh out of his car.

Justice Su Tiang Joo also ordered the government and police to pay a sum of more than RM3 million to the family of activist Amri Che Mat for their failure to conduct proper investigations into his disappearance.

Amri, the founder of NGO Perlis Hope, left his home at about 11.30pm on Nov 24, 2016. His car was found at a construction site at the Bukit Cabang Sports School in Perlis early the next morning.

The Attorney-General’s Chambers said yesterday that it would appeal the High Court’s decisions ordering the government and police to pay the two families a total sum of over RM40 million.

The decision to appeal was criticised by former MP Kua Kia Soong, who said it was unconscionable and a betrayal of justice, compassion, and the principles championed by the government.

Lee said the court’s rulings affirmed that the families of Koh and Amri deserved compensation for the suffering and loss endured over the past eight years.

He said the rulings also reinforced the principle that authorities bear both a legal and moral duty to investigate such violations with diligence, urgency, and transparency.

He added that the rulings had drawn international attention, with global media outlets reporting extensively on the case.

“The world is now watching closely to see how Malaysia’s government will respond – with conscience, integrity, and respect for justice.”

Namewee, whose real name is Wee Meng Chee, is known for his satirical and profanity-laced music

Controversial Malaysian rapper Namewee has been remanded in custody in connection with the death of a Taiwanese influencer found dead in a Kuala Lumpur hotel bathtub two weeks ago.

Police say Namewee, 42, was the last person seen with 31-year-old Iris Hsieh, according to reports. She was in Malaysia to discuss a commercial video Namewee had agreed to direct, her social media manager told the BBC.

Namewee, who denies charges of illegal drug use and possession for which he was granted bail, is now back in custody to "assist in the investigation", police said after reclassifying her death as murder.

He turned himself in early on Wednesday, his lawyer said, and has been put on remand for six days.

'I won't run away'

The case has gone through many twists in the last few days.

According to Malaysian media reports, Namewee contacted emergency services at 12:30 local time (05:30 GMT) on 22 October, after he found Hsieh unresponsive in the bathroom.

Police arrested Namewee that same day, after they found nine blue pills believed to be ecstasy in the hotel room.

Despite denying he had used drugs, Namewee tested positive for several illicit substances, including amphetamines, methamphetamine, ketamine, and THC, police said.

On Monday, he pleaded not guilty to the drug charges and was released on bail.

Namewee has maintained his innocence over the past few days and accused local media of "chasing shadows" with their reports on the case.

The singer, known for his satirical and profanity-laced music, has 3.6m subscribers on YouTube and 856,000 followers on Instagram. Singing in Mandarin, he is hugely popular in Taiwan and China.

Hsieh was previously featured in Namewee's music video for China Reggaeton, a song he released in January 2020.

On Tuesday, Kuala Lumpur police chief Fadil Marsus told reporters Namewee had "gone into hiding" after Hsieh's case was reclassified from "sudden death" to murder.

At the same time, Mr Fadil said police were waiting for post-mortem and toxicology results to determine the cause of death.

In the early hours of Wednesday, Namewee posted a clip on Instagram saying he had arrived at the police station and would "fully co-operate with the police to provide answers to the public and the bereaved family".

"I won't run away," he added.

Who is Namewee?

Namewee, whose real name is Wee Meng Chee, has long courted controversy with his music.

Often seen wearing a beanie and sunglasses, he first gained popularity - and notoriety - in 2007 with his controversial remake of Malaysia's national anthem, Negaraku, which mocked the government.

The music video quickly went viral on YouTube and authorities considered charging him with sedition, but did not proceed after he made a public apology and removed the clip.

In 2016, he was arrested for his music video Oh My God, which features him rapping in front of places of worship around Malaysia. Authorities said the song insulted Islam and jailed him for four days.

His 2021 song Fragile poked fun at "little pinks" - young nationalists who rush to the defence of the Chinese government on the internet - and took digs at several sensitive issues, from Xinjiang to Taiwan sovereignty.

That track went viral among Mandarin-speaking audiences, but was banned by China. Speaking to the BBC in 2021, Namewee said he saw the ban as "part of my creative work".

"Some people think that my work is controversial, or that I have always been crossing the red line," he said at the time. "Sometimes I intend to do so... If I think more people should know about certain issues, I want more people to care."

Namewee has collaborated with other popular Mandarin artists, including Taiwanese rock duo Power Station and Chinese-Australian singer Kimberly Chen, and has been nominated three times for the best Mandarin male singer in Taiwan's Golden Melody Awards.

He has also ventured into filmmaking, both starring in and directing films, some of which have stirred controversy over their portrayals of race and religion.

Who is Iris Hsieh?

Compared to Namewee, Hsieh was not as famous across Asia, although she had a fairly strong following on social media and was known for posting photos of herself in revealing outfits.

Nicknamed the "nurse goddess" by her fans, she graduated from the Central Taiwan University of Science and Technology with a degree in nursing, according to China Press, a Mandarin newspaper published in Malaysia.

Hsieh rose to internet fame around 2019, Malaysian media reported, and released a personal photo album titled Angel Heart the next year.

She has about 545,000 followers on Instagram - her fifth account on the social media platform, after the last four were suspended for "adult sexual solicitation", CNA reported.

She was also active on OnlyFans, where she started an account in 2022.

Hsieh's social media manager, who asked only to be referred to as Chris, told the BBC that her family were unable to go to Malaysia to follow up on the case because of their "severe disabilities".

They have instead hired legal representatives there to act on their behalf, he said.

Moe Man Thai Boeing 737MAX

The Lion Air crash in 2018 and the Ethopian Airline crash in 2019 were two aircrashes involving Boeing 737MAX. Initially the wankee Department of Justice (DOJ) charged Boeing with criminality and neglect but recently withdrew those charges as it feels Boeing has improved.

The Texas judge, Judge Reed O'Connor hearing the charges disagreed strongly with DOJ's withdrawal for reason it will be in the public interest but said he lacked the authority to override DOJ's decision.

He reminded all.that Boeing committed crimes deserving of prosecution but now is left to monitor itself with a consultant of its own choosing.

Prof Sambal Belacan

It's delicious and most Malaysian-ishly appropriate, a Michelin 3-Stars, to call Professor Kang Kong as Prof Sambal Belacan because the two (kang kong and sambal belacan) makes for a most scrumptious dish

Prof Solehah Yaakub has done "well" to earn both titles. An Arabic language academician she has regaled us with new historical kerbaus of hippopotamus status:

... first, by revealing her delightful thesis that Malay silat experts taught Chinese kungfu sifus the art of flying, as seen on Chinese kungfu movies such as "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon".

...secondly, by exposing the truth about ancient Roman ships such as the one Ben Hur was rowing as a slave. Those mighty ancient Roman trimemes were built with teachings from Malay seafarers.

... then, the pubic is holding its breath to see and hear what Prof Solehah Yaakub a.k.a Prof Kang Kong a.k.a as Prof Sambal Belacan will reveal next - perhaps that the Egyptians built the pyramids with.the help of ancient Malay architects.

But say what you will, Prof Solehah Yaakub is virtually invincible in her position, as she is probably teflonised by ethnic pride.

Driving summonses

Anthony Loke gave a final warning to 5.5 million holders of traffic summonses that they have until end of the year (01 January 2026) to settle their fines, or face blacklisting and being hauled to court.

Re- registration of road taxes will not be possible, BUT wakakaka lah, when many drivers don't even bother to ever renew their expored registration.

I thought Loke has toughened up with a no compromise warning, but alas, the usual idiotic discount scheme is still in place. If the summonses are settled between 01 Nov to 30 Dec there will be a 50% discount.

What a frigging up system - who will ever respect such a pariah discount system?

Taxpayers' money for police frigg ups

Judge Su, the judge who awarded damages in terms of humongous sums to the families of Pastor Koh and Amri Che Mat blasted the state for its piss poor accountability.

In the final analysis it's the Malaysian taxpayers' who have to fork out their taxes (money) to pay for the police's (civil servants') mistakes.

It's just unfair when the public has to pay for the mistakes of their salaried security guardians

IIUM Prof KangKong

Sharifah Munirah Alatas, an independent scholar has criticised IIUM management for not taking action against Ben Hur's girlfriend who teaches Arabic at IIUM but is an expert on ancient Roman triremes, the type boyfriend Ben Hur rowed as a slave. She asserted such ancient Roman sea vessels were built with the teachings of Malay seafarers.

The "expert" on ancient Roman sea vessels is none other than Solehah Yaakob.

And recall, Solehah Yaakob has been the very person who informed all and sundry that Malays taught Chinese kungfu fighters how to FLY, Wakakaka.

What next will she regale us with next? That Malays taught ancient Chinese how to make silk, paper, gunpowder and ham-chim-peng???

Wakakaka.

Dr Kua criticises AGC

Dr Kua of SUARAM criticises AGC for appealing against Judge's awards for both Pastor Kohand Amri Che Mat.

Kua said AGC lacks compassion and is not aligned with the principles of Madani.

Bapak Melayu Bersatu was the MOST divisive

Ti Lian Ker ta'bolih tahan lagi with Mahathir 'revisionist' kerbau, namely, that Malay Fragmentation began after the Old Man's resignation from politics.

Ti reminded all that in 1980 Umno split into Team A and Team B. Worse, after Team A won in a dubious decision, Team B was all sacked (though some did sneak back). And who was responsible?

The biggest Malay split was when Anwar was sabo kaukau until he was incarcerated and even ended up with a black eye.

Then Ti mention how Mahathir also underminded AAB and Najib when both were PMs, even unto forming BERSATU to oust Najib.

That was not all as he subsequently formed Pejuang to seize power again, after having being ousted in a coup d'etat by his own BERSATU, wakakaka.

However, Ti missed an earlier episode prior to 1980. Mahathir was undermining and blaming Tunku on UMNO's 1969 loss until our beloved TAR couldn't take it anymore and expelled him from the party.

Then a "dark" period followed. Many rumours pointed to Mahathir as a prime mover during the "dark" period though we don't talk about it today.

RPK related how Mahathir sabo Tengku Razaleigh by reneging on an unsigned agreement brought about by Tun Hussein.

Apparently, RPK revealed that the agreement was for Tengku to tidy up the Petronas paperwork and other economic issues, then assume the pm-ship from Mahathir. To his surprise Razaleigh faced a big PODAH from "someone", wakakaka.

AGC wailing

Balls caught in 2 x judge decisions, the AGC is appealing against the humongous amount awarded to families of Pastor Raymond Koh and Amri Cha Mat.

Hey man, maybe more coming for cases like Pamela Ling.

By the by, one of my uncles was also missing, wakakaka.

Hamzah may wait in vain

Poor Hamzah Zainuddin. He stated humbly that he had been selected by Moox2 to take over the reins of BERSATU, and t'was only the timing of that handover left unmentioned - bravely he said that it was all up to Moox2.

But not if Azmin has other ideas, wakakaka.

Now, that's a venomous snake matey.

Malays taught ancient Romans how to build ships

International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM) lecturer Solehah Yaacob suggests that ancient Roman ship building techniques have been learnt from Malay seafarers. Wow and double wow!!!

But Minister of Higher Education Zamry Abd Kadir put a damper on that thesis and advised that university lecturers should stick to their areas of specialisations and not give views outside their areas of expertise.

Now who is this Solehah Yaacob???

She teaches Arabic language.

IIUM is now pretty pissed with her, wakakaka

But at least her Roman ship didn't FLY like Jackie Chan, wakakaka again.

Pastor Raymond Koh now haunts the PDRM

Judge Su Tiang Joo has awarded the family of Pastor Raymond Koh Rm37 million for the police involvement in his disapperance.

In another paper I read that the same judge awards Pastor Koh's family RM10,000 per day (since 2017) that the Pastor continues to be missing.

That should get the police off their backsides.

Khalwat at over 80 years old???

Apart from the scandal of the football 'heritage' players, the other great shame we have come to know of has been the pseudo-khalwat-ish case of an 81 year old Ah Pek and a 69 year old Grandma.

The moronic case happened in Lubuk China Melaka when none less than an imam, village penghulu and various village elders become peek-a-boo tom's.

Mihar Dias columnist at Newswav said Ah Pek was recently bereaved  and probably needed companionship per se rather than to fulfil his list. Grandma was the correct companion for a lonely old man who.just became alone in his twilight years.

The Mfers who detained him had sins galore in their dirty old minds, but such has been the case in Malaysia. They humiliated Ah Pek rather than ensure he was not lonely.

Mukhriz Mahathir once brought our attention to a government website which preached to wives (Muslims of course) that their husbands had incredible sexual desires which in all probability they couldn't fulfil, hence the solution was to allow their superior-horny hubbies to have other wives- QED.

Judge rules on Amri's disapperance

Judge Su Tiang Joo of the KL High Court held the government and the police vicariously liable for the disappearance of Amri Che Mat.

He ordered the police to reopen its investigation into Amri's disappearance and to report its progress to the AGC every 2 months.

He further awarded Amri's widow RM3 million in damages.

No ceasefire in Gaza despite Trump"s boast

By the way there is NO ceasefire in reality in Gaza

Shailoks continue their terrifying bombardment of a cornered people who don't have an air force, artillery regiments and tank divisions.

Shailoks are exceptional in murdering such people - Satanyahu and his murderous military love the odds.

Teresa Kok asks AGC good question

My dear Teresa Kok asked AGC a pertinent question which of us have been wondering about but lacked the energy to ask: namely

Why was BERSATU's Adam Radlan allowed to keep his acquired bribe of RM5.8 million after paying a compound fine of RM4.1 million?

Masih untung RM1.7 million lah.

Teresa also cited another case where an elected representative and his aid kept their illicit accumulation amounting to hundreds of million ringgit after paying a relatively wee wee fine.

AGC please explain.

Wakakaka

Daim's family to challenge MACC

High Court has allowed Daim's family leave to challenge MACC's seizure of their bank accounts.

Her Lordship ruled that there is prima facie evidence of bad faith by MACC

Hannah tiptoe thro' the tulips

Poor Hannah Yeoh - she's tiptoeing delicately between the 'EgoS' of the Malaysian football world.

She reasons that the Sports Ministry should not intervene as FIFA dislikes government interference, and thus may further jeopardises the FAM.

OK lah, I'm sure we all believe her, wakakaka

Dirgahayu Mamdani

Terrible news for my visitor TS - Zohran Mamdani has won NYC mayoral race. I'm of coz delighted, wakakaka.

Mamdani is the 1st Muslim mayor of New York, just as Sadiq Khan is of London

Also Democrats won the gubernatorial elections in Virginia and Jersey - wakakaka

Dick Cheney died

One of the wankees' most belligerent leaders former VP Dick Cheney died at the age of 84.

Reputed to be the MOST powerful VP of the USA of all times he dragged Bush Jnr and the wankees into the world wide war on terrorism, even faking "evidence" against Iraq. There was no end to his duplicity. Earlier he had masterminded the war against Panama.

Once he said, when the wankees were hesitating in Iraq (or was it Afghanistan), America must have the guts to finish up the war, and this was a man who had on several occasions avoided the draft for Vietnam.

Notorious as the wankees' Chief Chickenhawk, he nonetheless preached bellicosity and aggression, well, so long as it's not his own blood.

A 'Chickenhawk' is a bloke who behaves like a belligerent hawk (with other people's blood) but who in reality is a cowardly chicken.

His link with big business like Halliburton has been notorious.

James Wong advises FAM not to continue prolonging the 'heritage' scandal

James Wing, one of Malaysia's football Greats, has advised FAM against taking the issue of 'heritage' players to the Court of Arbitration for Sports (COS).

James lamented: What's the point, and whose money will we be wasting  when the game over 'heritage' is well over and out.

He told FAM not to be wastefully stubborn and accept its mistake, and rebuild from now.

Blardy excellent advice James. But "someone's" ego is still at stake lah, wakakaka.

Namawee: Hey, I"m at the police station

Namawee denied he's on the run and has in fact reported  himself to the station this morning to assist police in their investigation into the death of Iris Hsieh a.k.a the 'Nurse Godess'.

This followed his phone call from JB to the KL police. He then made his way from JB to meet the police.

Namawee took umbrage at the suggestion he had cabut-ed, reminding all that in the previous 7 times police had issued warrants for him, he always reported voluntarily to a police station.

Chegubard left out on a limb by BERSATU

Chessboard has criticised his bosses of his party (BERSATU) for not only abandoning him to his tussles in court after he had criticised the government, but also denigrating him.

That was adding salt to his injuries including financial ones.

Matey, your party is in a whole lot of problems thus I doubt they would have time for poor you  wakakaka.

No mother should be torn from her child

Kulasegaran, deputy minister in the PM Department (Law and Institutional Reforms) has called upon the police to arrest Ridhuan Abdullah, the fugitive kidnapper of Indira Gandhi's daughter.

Kula lamented that such a fugitive on the run from the law (supposedly) could have the audacity to openly enjoy government provided benefits by using his KP, yet without being arrested by the close-one-eye police.

Kula tells the police: "No mother should be torn from her child".

Unless it's a Hindu mum fighting a Muslim father???

Police seeking Namawee

Oh oh oh Namawee is being sought after by the police in conjunction with the death of Taiwanese influencer Iris Hsieh, also known as the 'Nurse Goddess'.

Police are experiencing difficulties in tracing Namawee whom they claimed must be in hiding.

Meanwhile, Nanawee's father said the matter must be left to the police.

Mahathir - Melayu mudah lupa

Mahathir lamented that after he retired Malay Unity went into disarray. During his time there was absolute Malay dominance and leadership was handed over in accordance with proper protocols, to wit, the deputy party leader took over from the retiring leader.

He criticised the current state of affairs where everyone wants to be PM. The Malays have become fragmented.

To this end Mahathir is forming a Malay committee secretariat to unite the Malays lest their fragmented state will diminish their political power.

Mahathir forgot to mention how he undermined AAB  continuously and subsequently also AAB's successor, Najib, and even formed parties such as BERSATU and PEJUANG to seize power for himself.

Please be understanding, Mahathir is more than 100 years old and, furthermore he reminded us that "Melayu mudah lupa" lah, wakakaka.

Ripe old khalwat

Melaka religious department has detained an 81 year old man suspected of living with a 69 year old woman without marriage documents. Apparently an imam and village elders caught him, after the 81 year old was seen with the sweet old lady just a month after Ah Pek's wife passed away

For frigging sake - get a life lah7 you lebai slugs.

Wakakaka.

PMX gave 2 fingers to ...

Yesterday Mahathir demanded that Anwar resigned as PM for selling off Malays' interests by signing an agreement with the wankees.

The Grand Old Man wailed about Anwar mortgaging off the country and ignoring Malay rights.

Today Anwar rejected the call to resign, noting it's one in a long series of such calls, and wonder when the call for him to resign will stop.

Besides, Anwar pointed out that even China signed such an agreement.

Tough Anwar didn't mention Mahathir by name in his retort it was obvious who he has been addressing in his today' defiant rejection.

Wakakaka.

Shailok daylight robbery

Shailok settlers attacked Palestinian olive pickers south of Bethlehem. They bashed up the Palestinian men with their guns, detained their families and then ordered the Palestinian farmers to leave the farms.

Shailoks' tactics for robbing land, orchards and farms.

Shailoks torture detained Palestinian children

Shailok State holds 360 Palestinian children from the West Bank under detention, without trial or charge, and subjects these kids to torture and abuses.

Apparently the shailoks' aim is to crush the spirit of the kids and presumably their parents and relatives.

What evil are the shailoks preaching?

Nurse Godess' murder

KL Police chief stated that a suspect involved in the death of the Taiwanese 'Nurse Goddess', Iris Hsieh  will soon be arrested.

Iris Hsieh's death has been classified by the police as a murder.

Thus far Namawee has not been mentioned as the suspect though he faces charges of drug use. We have to wait and see.

TMJ says FIFA acted unconstitutionally

TMJ accuses FIFA of acting unconstitutionally in sanctioning Malaysia's "heritage" soccer players.

TMJ pointed out that the suspension only applies to people who falsify or uses fraudulent documents and that none of the banned players was involved in such acts.

He accused the whole episode as bring politically motivated. I wonder who has been the culprit?

FAM fraud a national disgrace

In FMT columnist Frank D'Cruz has the following to say on the disgraceful 'heritage' soccer players scandal (some of the phrases and outrageous exclamations are mine and not his, wakakaka)

1. The FIFA decision or snub, depending on how one looks at it, is final. No amount of appealing or begging will change the verdict, so F.O. lah Malaysia, you mongrel;

2. FAM saying it is 'shock' means zilch. Podah you useless bunch, denial is not a frigging defence;

3. Fraudulent registration is not a paperwork glitch but a disgraceful moral collapse, you frigging monkeys;

4. The shameful stain spreads beyond football, smearing the government, society and every Malaysians, S-Wholes!

That's 'nuff for now as I'm sick with the shit being spread around by fraud - I may continue D'Cruz' criticisms later.
