Lim KS far too silent on Zakir Naik issue

FMT - Is there really a justification to shield Zakir Naik? (extracts):

By TK Chua

I have been waiting in vain for someone of substance to give a proper response to Rais Hussin’s piece on “PPBM strategist defends Dr M over Zakir Naik”, but so far there has been none.

(kaytee note: Sorry lah, Lim Kit Siang has been far more interested in what could be behind Najib's son's one-day trip to Taipei than just a mere date with actress Celia Chang.

But the Taiwanese actress had probably exclaimed: Perish the thought, I didn't sleep with the son of Najib - you Malaysians have such dirty minds.
Thus, Lim Kit Siang has been far too busy to question his Boss Mahathir, assuming Lim has the balls to do that, on why the latter is protecting an alleged terrorist wanted by Indian authorities)

As far as I know, India is a functioning democracy with millions of Muslims as its citizens. In fact, at one time, the president of India was a Muslim. Why would a country like India single out a Muslim preacher for persecution? What benefits would the country gain out of it?

Based on news reports, Naik is wanted by the Indian authorities for specific allegations such as money laundering and religious incitement which is linked to violence. These allegations are very different from religious intolerance or persecution allegedly perpetrated by the Indian government.

If there is a specific request by the Indian authorities for his extradition, should Malaysia ignore such a request? Should he not return to his country to face the allegations and to prove his innocence? What good justification do we have to deny such a request?

To claim that the Indian government is targeting Naik due to “media sensationalising” is essentially to cast the aspersion that the Indian government does know how to govern its country’s security and is acting based on media orchestration.

If all the news reports and allegations against Zakir Naik are true, what then should Malaysia’s response be to India’s request for his extradition?

Is it fair for Rais Hussin to say that deporting Zakir Naik will subject him to religious persecution in India? There must be a basis for him to say that.

  1. Lim Kit Siang wasn't paying any attention when Zakir Naik was being protected by Najib.
He obviously does not consider it a vital issue for DAP to address.

Who is Ktemoc Konsiders to demand what Lim Kit Siang must or must not turn his attention to?

    Too disrespectful !

Najib's son made himself a fair target after he chose to make politicised statements.

    5. Hadi had always support the sanctuary given to ZN, even during Najib's time, so what's the problem if PAS is consistent in their approval for his stay here? This in contrast to you lalang hellhounds who either barks or mews at the person whichever way your master commands so. So if next week, LKS were to dispute Mahathir and insist that he leaves, are you gonna bark at ZN again? Hohohoho!

  2. I have opined in this blog before that ZN should go back to India to face the music. Afterall, 'in fact, at one time, the president of India was a Muslim'. Perhaps, ZN too can be the president of India one day. However, now I am doing a u-turn. I agree with TDM that ZN can stay. We need to keep St DAP the evangelist at bay. Wakakaka..

  3. India is currently governed by a Hindu Nationalist party, portions of which would make PAS look positively inclusive and moderate.

    5. You must understand. While Indians hate the Muslims there, at least they trust them unlike their own kind. Most Indians find it hard to do business amongst themselves unless cash or barter is made, there's little trust in standard business practice of credit line which makes doing business there very inefficient. Yet by having a few Indians who aren't so myopic and paranoid, they managed to built business empires. But yeah, they're suspicious of those different from them as a twisted form of nationalism, and would lump all Chinese -including me- as China Chinese until I start talking to them in Commonwealth English.

  8. Lots of barter trading in the Foreign Ministry before this issue is resolved.

By the way, where is and when is the official extradition request coming from India?

In the meantime, let this Hindu Moslem be the so called Imam Mahadi for Malaysian Moslems since Malaysian Moslems prefer and believe a foreigner made instant Malaysian PR be the spokesman for them.

I guess it is because, Malaysians have always feel inferior when anything preached and said by foreigners are more believeable than their own.

Wonder what the Arabs and other Moslem countries think of him? Also another come lately Prophet/Messiah?
