'Don't be more Hamas than Hamas,' Foreign Ministry tells Wan Fayhsal

PARLIAMENT | The Foreign Ministry has told Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal (PN-Machang) not to "be more Hamas than Hamas itself".
This came after the Bersatu leader kept pressing Putrajaya to cancel Malaysia's invitation to US President Donald Trump to the 47th Asean Summit in Kuala Lumpur.
"Hamas has accepted the 20-point (peace) plan proposed by Trump. This is Hamas. So why don't we help and support this position?
"Do not be like what we call... be more Hamas than Hamas. Why are you like this?
"We help, we support (Palestine), and we want to see peace in Palestine," Deputy Foreign Minister Mohamad Alamin said in the Dewan Rakyat this morning.
He was responding to a supplementary question regarding the Gaza issue posed by Wan Fayhsal (above), who appeared to be upset with Mohamad's earlier explanation of Trump's invitation.

Mohamad had said that Malaysia, as this year's Asean chair, has the responsibility to invite all Asean dialogue partners to its summit, and it would take the opportunity to express Malaysia's view on Gaza to Trump.
Wan Fayhsal said he disagreed with the explanation because there has been no US president in history who could stop Israel's atrocity, and Trump was responsible for allowing the genocide in Gaza to continue.
Invitation objective
In his response to the Bersatu MP, Mohamad said that while Malaysia cares about Palestine, it also needs to look at the objective behind Asean's invitation to Trump.
"Yes, we are concerned with what is happening in Palestine, but the benefits and also our trade relations... The investment relations between Asean and the US are big.
"(In the context of) Malaysia and the US, it is one of the countries that has the largest investment in Malaysia and Asean.
"So, we have to look at this from an economic perspective. But, insyaAllah, with the firm stance of our prime minister and foreign minister, we are optimistic that Trump, together with all like-minded countries... Qatar, Egypt, all are looking into ways to achieve peace in Palestine," the deputy minister added.

Water shortages can happen at various times to any country, but very few countries are like Iran that has squandered vast national resources into foreign escapades to build it's Terrorist Ring to strangle Israel - Hamas in Gaza , Hezbollah in Lebanon, Houthis in Yemen, Assad Regime in Syria, Shhite militias in Iraq.
