Drastic Desperado Doublespeak

10 days ago I posted There are criminals and then there are criminals in which I mentioned Mahathir stating (reported by Malaysiakini) that PM Naib could even be arrested by police overseas?

I had then commented: What was not mentioned (because alas, it's a bloody f* fact which you shouldn't be bothered with) is that the PM or for that matter, any PM or diplomat, enjoys diplomatic immunity abroad and cannot be touched, with one exception, that on matters involving war crimes.

Then, a desperate Mahathir had resorted to using the example of Sudan's President Omar al-Bashir who is wanted by the International Criminal Court for war crimes, genocide and crimes against humanity in Darfur (but an alleged crime ignored by many Islamic countries, Russia and China, etc).

Is Najib also accused of war crimes, genocide and crimes against humanity? C'mon lah, Tun, don't tembak with such an offensively outrageous odious comparison.

Aiyoyo, pathetic lah. I was deeply disappointed by this once-strongman of Malaysia who was obviously desperately flinging poo around. We know he wants Najib out for his own political purpose.

Now, he disappoints me again by singing a different belakang-pusing & merajuk-ish tune, saying Najib [is] safe abroad, [as] international laws won't touch him.

With his volte-face kok-talk, can we or should we follow his guttersnipe attacks every which way at his foe? Before, when he was PM, we didn't. Why then should we now, when he is even worse than before?

We must, have to draw a principled line in the sand, and stop listening to his rants.

With 'friends' like PKR ... (2)

TMI - PAS should give up religious council’s top post, say Penang PKR wings

The Penang PKR Youth and Women wings have urged PAS to relinquish its presidency in the Penang Islamic Religious Council (MAIPP) now that PAS is no longer a member of the opposition pact that make up the state government.

The president of the council is PAS’s sole assemblyman in Penang, Datuk Mohd Salleh Man. He holds the Permatang Pasir state seat in the parliamentary constituency of Permatang Pauh.

In a joint press conference chaired by the state Youth and Women chiefs, Asrol Sani Abdul Razak and Nur Zarina Zakaria said Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng had declared that the new Pakatan Harapan coalition excluded PAS.

Zarina said logically, PAS should not hold on to the position when the Islamist party was no longer part of the coalition.

“We don’t think it is appropriate for PAS to keep the position any more, so we propose that the position be given to a PKR representative,” she said during the press conference at the Penang PKR headquarters in Seberang Jaya today. There had been rivalry between PAS and PKR for the presidency of MAIPP, even before Salleh was first appointed in 2012. [...[

Asrol said they had not approached Salleh to ask him to quit but they had written to Lim, PKR president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail and the Penang Islamic affairs exco Datuk Abdul Malik Abul Kassim on the matter.

Wakakaka. It's not Lim Guan Eng or DAP who is pushing this, but PKR.

In fact, on 18 June 2015 TMI reported:

The sole PAS assemblyman in Penang is still part of the state government, said Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng, now that the state is under a coalition government led by DAP following the end of the opposition pact under Pakatan Rakyat (PR).

He said Permatang Pasir assemblyman Datuk Mohd Salleh Man was still part of the DAP and PKR Penang government even though PR ceased to exist.

"We had a meeting yesterday evening. This was the decision accepted unanimously by all 30 Pakatan Rakyat reps," he told reporters today.

Salleh is president of the Penang Islamic Council, a position appointed by the Agong, and chairman of Penang Zakat.

And PKR wants PAS to be part of Pakatan, especially in Selangor.

With friends like PKR, you sure don't need enemies. Wakakaka.

PKR: PAS bro, we still need you to be in Pakatan

wakakaka

With 'friends' like PKR ...

FMT - MCA welcome to join Pakatan Harapan

PKR Secretary General Rafizi Ramli says Barisan Nasional component parties such as MCA and Gerakan are more than welcome to join the newly-formed Opposition coalition, Pakatan Harapan if they are willing to conform to their common policy framework.

And why not invite MIC as well? I suspect there could be a sinister reason for this, wakakaka.

I bet Rafizi Ramli (PKR) hasn't even consulted the component parties in Pakatan Harapan (PH) on his invitation to MCA and Gerakan. Is he, a PKR man, EMPOWERED to speak such on behalf of Pakatan Harapan (PH)?

I don't believe DAP will be too pleased with MCA or Gerakan in the new coalition. This is the perennial problem with PKR leaders, speaking on behalf of Pakatan as if they are the lord almighty or tuan of PH, like insisting PAS is still a part of Pakatan.

In the first place, why should or would Pakatan bother with MCA or Gerakan when these two BN component parties have been nearly wiped out to the point of extinction. It's plain clear the voters have rejected both kau kau. So why does PKR want them?

The reason and being a conspiracy theorist I believe it to be a sinister one, wakakaka, for PKR still f*ing around with MCA and Gerakan is that PKR could well be aiming to set them, if/when they're within PH, against DAP, in the same divide-&-conquer way as Razak had set the MCA against Dr Lim Chong Eu's once-glorious Gerakan Party (of 1969) from 1972 onwards, and reduced the former once-powerful Gerakan party (and indeed also MCA) to its current useless self.

With MCA and Gerakan in PH, then DAP will be called upon to allocate quite a few of the seats it is currently holding to these two useless parties in 2018, leaving PKR with the party holding the majority of seats among the 'original' Pakatan-ites.

If PKR is so keen on new recruits for PH, why has it rejected PSM? Why has it not invited MIC?

Moon cakes in Petaling Street

Yesterday I posted Chinese puzzle in Petaling Street which discussed the very unusual utterance by the Chinese Ambassador on a particularly sensitive issue regarding Petaling Street.

mooncake enthusiasts?

His remarks could be seen as interfering in the internal affairs of Malaysia, and I haven't been surprised that Wisma Putra has summoned him for an explanation.

Being a conspiracy theorist (wakakaka) I did of course suggest that his unusual-for-a-diplomat statement in Petaling Street might have been a bisa-diatur arrangement between Beijing and Putrajaya (for unknown reasons) and the summoning by our Foreign Office is all a sandiwara.

Today TMI reported:

The Chinese ambassador's visit to Petaling Street was an act of goodwill and the envoy has no intention of interfering in Malaysia's domestic affairs, said the China embassy, following Wisma Putra's intention to call up the envoy for an explanation tomorrow.

..... the embassy said ambassador Dr Huang Huikang's visit on Friday was in conjunction with the Mid-Autumn festival which was being celebrated today, and he gave out mooncakes to the traders and visitors of the tourist and shopping hotspot popularly known as Chinatown.

The embassy said he also made similar visits during major festivities in Malaysia, including Chinese New Year, Hari Raya and Deepavali.

Chinese celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival has its origin way back in the 16th century BC, during the Shang Dynasty, a couple of hundred years before the mythical Hebrews made their exodus to Canaan. It was a celebration of several causes, to the mountain gods in gratitude after a crop harvest, celebrating a family reunion after a crop harvest, and worshipping the Moon Goddess Chang'e.

Chang'e the Moon Goddess

quite a different presentation to the one below

above seal is an artifact from the Jewish exilic period of post 588 BC in Babylon. There is a crescent moon at the top of the Babylonian seal, above an altar to the moon deity Sin

In Malaysia and Singapore only, the Mid Autumn Festival has also been celebrated as a Lantern Festival, maybe because we don't have autumns wakakaka. As a wee lil' kid I quite enjoyed carrying a lantern in the shape of a carp (goldfish) and sometimes a bunny (animal associated with Moon Goddess) around my kampung. However in China, its lantern festival is on a different date, one that's on our Chap Goh Meh.

Now, if kaytee wants to stir sh*t regarding the Chinese Ambassador's visit to Petaling Street where he presented mooncakes to the local traders, I could point out the ominous and indeed very seditious implications of a Chinese official giving mooncakes to local Chinese, wakakaka.

Hmmm, I wonder whether a modern Chinese like His Excellency, born and brought up in atheistic communist China, is even aware of the history and significance of mooncakes, wakakaka

Chinese puzzle in Petaling Street

I have to say that yesterday I was amazed (surprised), delighted and at the same time slightly embarrassed by the Chinese ambassador to Malaysia commenting on the threat by pro-UMNO Red Shirts to "visit" Petaling Street.

TMI reported that Dr Huang Huikang, his wife and a few Chinese embassy officials visited Petaling Street and warned those who used violence to disrupt public order in the country. He said the Chinese government was opposed to terrorism, extremism and any forms of discrimination based on race.

"The Chinese government opposes terrorism and any form of discrimination against races and any form of extremism," he was quoted as saying. [...]

The report also said that Dr Huang, who was accompanied by his wife and other embassy officials presented mooncakes to the traders in the popular shopping street, also known as Chinatown, in conjunction with the Mid-Autumn Festival.

He expressed admiration with Petaling Street that had Chinese and traders of other races as well.

"Business is good here. There are many tourists. I am proud to see Chinese traders working closely with Malay and Indian traders in harmony in developing this area," he was quoted as saying.

The ambassador said it would be a shame if the peaceful environment at Petaling Street was disrupted by those with ill-intentions, adding that he was confident with the ability of the police to ensure public order.

Working backwards from my 'feelings' expressed above, to wit, " .... amazed (surprised), delighted and at the same time slightly embarrassed ...", yes I was slightly embarrassed because as a Chinese Malaysian I don't want Chinese diplomats/officials to speak for Chinese Malaysians especially on an acrimonious social issue involving Chinese Malaysians with another Malaysian ethnic group, which in this case were the Malays.

I have to admit my embarrassment has been more of a selfish reason, that Dr Huang's message would likely have worsened the Malay acrimony towards Chinese Malaysians.

At the same time I was delighted because it's always helpful for prominent foreigners to speak up against racism in Malaysia, where recently we had (via a news article on the MM Online) Thailand’s former foreign minister Kasit Piromya advising Malaysians of the dangers in playing the racial card when holding street demonstrations. He warned that ethnic sectarian affairs would be disastrous not only for Malaysia but the entire Southeast Asian region, leading them to suffer the fates of Libya, Iraq and Syria.

Foreigners are welcomed because no one in Malaysia listens anymore to local leaders on both sides of politics. But it would have been better if it had been, say, the Japanese ambassador (wakakaka), the Indonesian ambassador or better still (wakakaka again) the Saudi ambassador. Hmmm, I believe ambassadors of Western nations would have infuriated the Malays.

I was amazed (surprised) because I didn't/couldn't believe that the Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia would be commenting on a sensitive Malaysian internal affair involving local Chinese. I do wonder about his staged stroll through Petaling Street to purportedly "present mooncakes" to the local traders there.

The days of Chinese jus sanguinis*, of overseas Chinese (even those born abroad) being automatically citizens of China and therefore deserving of her protection, are over, indeed on the day Mao Zedong told overseas Chinese to become good citizens of their respective country of residence. I believe he made that policy announcement when Tun Razak first visited China in the 70's.

* incidentally, India still applies jus sanguinis whether our Malaysian aneh and tambee like it or not, wakakaka.

It has been a very unusual statement by Dr Huang, in fact I would even say an undiplomatic message. It's very unusual because at this point in time China does not want to make naughty undiplomatic waves but rather friends especially in this part of the world.

Besides why would China (and its ambassador) worry about a few local Chinese in Petaling Street being bashed up? What would be the benefit for her?

Additionally, China or its ambassador does not warn a friendly small nation like Malaysia. Yes, it would/will warn her most "un-favourite" nations like the USA, Japan or Europe, but definitely not Malaysia.

Thus I have a damn bloody suspicion that Dr Huang might have done it with approval from BOTH Beijing and Putrajaya. What's the motive, I can't say other than for us not to be surprised by the covert machinations of governments!

Yes, today Putrajaya has summoned Dr Huang for an explanation on his announcement made while strolling through Petaling Street, but that could be just diplomatic sandiwara for domestic consumption.

Anyway, let's see whether Dr Huang gets recalled to Beijing and is replaced, wakakaka.

Doggone Dogsh*t

Up north in Penang, lots of bulldog shit have been flung around. Most of the arguments or criticisms hurled against CM Lim Guan Eng on the issue of dog culling have been (sadly) politically opportunistic, preposterous and moronic.

I look happy, don't I?

look at their pitiful miserable conditions
putting them 'down' is the only compassionate way
unless members of Penang Gerakan Party wish to adopt them

For decades the former state BN government had, indeed by its own admission, been most remiss in the matter of stray dogs culling, neglecting the health issues related to such strays.

It's quite amazingly flabbergasting that Gerakan's Teng Chang Yeow seemed to have no shame in his brazen boast that the former Gerakan-led (but UMNO controlled) BN state government culled only pigs and not dogs, where we may then safely conclude that it had allowed those poor canines to procreate and proliferate into an uncaring social environment.

I look happy, don't I?

My response to that is: Gerakan would certainly do that, won't they? Wakakaka.

Health and environmental issues related to strays are not only about stray dogs but also stray cats, and indeed any animal which is not owned/looked after (those not of the wild).

Strays or unattended creatures living amidst our community, like dogs, cats and rats (mice), goats and even cows pose a danger to society. This danger is escalated when any of these creatures carry diseases such as rabies. Culling should have been done before the threat of animal-borne diseases (rabies, etc) become apparent.

And frankly, culling stray dogs is not only about rabies but about safety and the environment. What does one do when packs of stray and almost feral dogs roam the suburban and village areas threatening children, women and even men.

I look happy, don't I?

They defecate everywhere, worsening the environment for our community. Stray dogs and cats are forced to steal food or worse infect the hygiene of our food by their snooping around. They have been known to be cannibalistic under severe conditions or when one of their pack is weakened.

It's not unexpected that animal lovers would argue against culling in favour of vaccination, but really, they failed miserably in not offering a complete solution to strays living amidst us. Pandai cakap saje!

I look happy, don't I?

OK, what do we do with the strays after vaccinating them? Leave them to proliferate and roam around our villages and suburbs, and to most likely threaten our presence especially our children? Leave them in their near starvation state and with various painful diseases, including infestation by lice, fleas and whatnot?

If Teng Chang Yeow cares so much about stray dogs, then he and everyone of his party members (and those animal loving NGOs) should adopt one of those strays each to care for those poor creatures. Leave the culling of pigs to our pork butchers, wakakaka.

Additionally, Teng should not ONLY focus on the culling of stray dogs in Penang but direct his party members to also criticize the efforts of the other state governments who have culled far more strays than Penang, that is, if he has the balls to do so against UMNO-led state governments in Kedah, Perlis, etc.

I look happy, don't I?

Some animal lovers childishly used emotional words like Penang would not be a civilised state if it continues to cull stray dogs. Balderdash, baloney and bullshit!

In Australia, apart from stray dogs living in the wild (culled by poisoned bait), authorities cull kangaroos, brumbies (wild horses), camels, rabbits, etc. NZ culls deers and possums, etc.

brumbies

Their respective RSPCA collects unwanted pets (dogs, cats mainly but not exclusively) and offer these poor creatures for adoption (kaytee adopted a border collie from such a RSPCA pool many years ago). If a creature is not adopted after a specific time period, it's 'put down'.

Indeed, it's a 1st World country which does not allow stray dogs or stray cats to live in miserable conditions amidst our community!

Lim Guan Eng, carry on and ignore those whiners. Penangites support you and your current stray dog culling program. Include stray cats as well in the culling as these felines also pose a danger to native wild birds and smaller wild creatures.

Sarawak's deportation of Tony Pua - its significance

FMT - For Adenan, Sarawak comes first (relevant extracts):

Adenan Satem is changing the game for Sarawak. After decades of rule under Taib Mahmud, it seems like Sarawak has finally got a Chief Minister with the political will and conviction to demand what the state has always deserved but was always denied – the chance to see it achieve its potential. [...]

On September 16, even as KL shook with a flood of red, Najib told attendants at Malaysia Day celebrations in Sabah that the state governments of East Malaysia would soon be given more power to determine priority projects for their states, among other things. This pronouncement was the result of Adenan’s hard work in strengthening the Sarawak Barisan Nasional brand, and Najib knows that it is important that he cultivate Adenan and his policies to keep Sarawak as a BN vote bank.

Change is coming for Sarawak. It is high time that it took its place as one of Malaysia’s premier states, and Adenan is determined to do just that even as the peninsula tears itself to pieces in racial strife. This is what happens when a leader has his heart in the right place, and Sarawak is poised to reap the benefits.

Note the statement in above last para: ... It is high time that it took its place as one of Malaysia’s premier states ...

Indeed, Sarawak as the BIGGEST and RICHEST state in Malaysia should be deserving of the claim, the legend and the salutation of being "one of Malaysia’s premier states" if not THE premier state ...

... yet ... yet ... YET ...

... how could it assert its entitlement to that title when it could deport a Malaysian citizen from Sarawak, one who happens to be also a Member of the Federal Parliament?

Yesterday TMI reported that Tony Pua was deported from Sarawak after a mere 6 hours in Miri. Pua has been actually on the barred (black) list of Peninsula Malaysians but somehow managed to enter undetected by the immigration computer at Miri airport, though not for long.

Much as I have been long a supporter of the DAP, I personally do not take kindly to Tony Pua, who might be an ace on analysing economic-financial issues on government spending and calling the relevant ministers to account, ... BUT ...

... who in my opinion is only a young political upstart, a parvenu on the socio-cultural-political sphere, one who hasn't quite acquired the necessary nous so vital in our Malay-dominated society to deal with Malay society, especially with the treacherous PKR, wakakaka.

Yes, Pua for all his technical expertise on financial matters was outfoxed by PKR leaders on both the Kajang Bull and earlier in the exco formation during post-2013 election phase - for more on how he was outplayed by Khalid Ibrahim in the latter, read
Selangor saga shows PKR's ketuanan mentality? and on how he was outplayed by the PKR inner coterie on the art of bullshit satay grilling,
read No more 'Bridesmaid Forever' - in the latter I had written:

... PAS has by default of its lonesome self in its hudud path made the PKR option looks as if the latter is the only option for DAP to ally itself with - alas, which has been why PKR gets to not only nominate its candidate for the MB Selangor position but to also sapu most of the exco positions, at the expense of DAP of course, notwithstanding DAP has more ADUNs than PKR in Selangor.

DAP has not been without its own f*up faults. The Selangor branch has been led by an inexperienced and naive Tony Pua who was somehow convinced into playing Chicken Little in the PKR's Kajang Satay shindig but without any benefits for DAP.

Au contraire the DAP was placed in an uncomfy position of being confrontational with HRH - mate, that's not very clever Malaysian politics, unless of course you're Dr Mahathir, wakakaka.

It embarrassed me when Tony Pua asked for a deputy Speaker post for DAP as a quid pro quo for supporting PKR. WTF for, man, because that's akin to wandering into MCA, Gerakan and MIC territory of picking up f* meaningless crumbs!

I was damn glad, nay, grateful that Azmin Ali spurned his Oliver Twist-like request, though I am still attempting to soothe away my pro-DAP shame.

But nonetheless, notwithstanding his lack of nous in a mainly Malay political world, Pua is a Malaysian citizen let alone his position as an elected Member of the federal Parliament.

What Sarawak has done by deporting him is to show gross disrespect to Parliament and indeed to the Federation of Malaysia.

While Sarawak has autonomy on immigration matters, it should not have abused that autonomous powers to deport a Malaysian Member of Parliament, showing gross disrespect to federal parliament and the Federation, especially not after half a century of being part of Malaysia.

Thus I have to ask: Is Sarawak really ready to assume its claim as "one of Malaysia’s premier states" when it behaves like a pathetic paranoid provincial state?

Part of the reasons why both Sarawak and Sabah have been neglected in their development is not so much the economic-financial marginalization of them (while there can be no denying that sadly there's that), but their own rejection of inflow from the private sectors of the Peninsula including and especially from the small business sectors and individuals.

Let me provide a very small example of such a happening as narrated by one of my uncles. Perhaps it might not have been the best example of what I want to demonstrate but nonetheless it shows that changes and development can be exponentially quite rapid when there is no unnecessary restriction of economic activities.

Commonwealth war cemetery, Labuan
quiet as Labuan once was

Prior to April 1984 the island of Labuan could be said to be a backwater town, at least socially and culturally, and apart from business associated with the oil and gas industry and supporting the various armed forces (navy, air force and army) detachments there, even financially and economically.

Then thanks to an (alleged unilateral) decision by then-CM Harris Salleh, wakakaka, it became a federal territory (FT) in April 1984.

Following its status as a FT and minus Sabah's autonomous immigration control, there was uninhibited influx of small business migrants from the West. With that, the once-quiet (almost dead) town swiftly shrugged off its decades of social-cultural stagnation to become quite a bustling busy hot spot, complete at the sharp end with even (wakakaka) Penang char koay teow*, roti canai and all sorts of hawker food from the west. Even the locals were quite taken by the then-new gastronomical delights. T'was one of the benefits, albeit a very small one, of allowing West Malaysians to conduct business there.

* actually there were West Malaysian hawker food prior to April 1984 BUT only in Membedai, in the air force base, all run by the RMAF people & families who were mostly West Malaysians, thus of West Malaysian origin. There was none in Victoria town operated by locals

no such dish in Victoria town prior to April 1984

nor this

nor this

I urge Sabahans and Sarawakians to cease their own imposed isolation from their fellow-citizens from the West and allow free flow of these people to their lovely states in exactly the same way as we in the West have allow Sarawakians and Sabahans to come to the Peninsula to work, settle down and even marry our good looking sweeties, because a favourable consequence of such free flowing movements will automatically and inevitably carry with them economic and business opportunities, investments, new ideas and choices, and developments.

The totally unnecessary deportation of Tony Pua sadly reflects the sad mental provincialism of Sarawak and its adverse consequence.

Provincialism like the (originally noble-intended but now) much-abused NEP and other discriminatory programs only favours the interests of the few but not the rakyat.

Pakatan Harebrained

Here's a woman with a oriental fan in her hands and her feet separately on two different boats, one with the PAS sampan and the other on the so-called Pakatan Harapan Harebrained perahu, each sailing in different directions.

It is also the sad story of a taxi sapu, typified by PAS continuing to be part of the Pakatan state government of Selangor when it has clearly said it no longer is part of Pakatan.

Pathetic police prosecution

TMI - Dancer who dropped Bersih 4 balloons on Najib faces charges tomorrow

Bilqis Hijjas, who dropped Bersih 4 balloons onto an event where Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak and wife were present last month, will be charged tomorrow in magistrate court for "insulting behaviour". [...]

On August 31, Bilqis released yellow balloons with the words “democracy”, “free media” and “justice” printed on them from level 5 of the Pavillion KL mall in Kuala Lumpur onto an event attended by Najib and his wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, on the ground floor of the shopping centre. The balloons floated down behind the big screen television set at the event. After the incident, Bilqis was nabbed by the mall’s auxiliary police and was later handed over to the Dang Wangi police for further action.

The police is being damn silly to prosecute such a minor insignificant case. It'll not only draw attention to the incident but magnify it adversely out of proportion to its real impact.

A stupid case of unnecessary police bodek-isation achieving an outcome opposite to desired intention.

Malaysian oligarchy

Wikipedia informs us the following on 'Oligarchy':

Oligarchy (from Greek ὀλιγαρχία (oligarkhía); from ὀλίγος (olígos), meaning "few", and ἄρχω (arkho), meaning "to rule or to command") is a form of power structure in which power effectively rests with a small number of people.

These people could be distinguished by royalty, wealth, family ties, education, corporate, religious or military control.

Such states are often controlled by a few prominent families who typically pass their influence from one generation to the next, but inheritance is not a necessary condition for the application of this term.

Throughout history, oligarchies have often been tyrannical, relying on public obedience or oppression to exist.

Malaysia (like Singapore, Myanmar, Philippines, sub-Continent states like Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, and indeed North Korea) is ruled by an oligarchy.

Though the Wikipedia explanation talks about an exclusive group, my post is even more specific, about one particular factor, that of rule by a few families and their ties.

For example, in the Philippines, you have the Macapagal's, Marcos' and Aquino's, with an actor (Joseph Estrada) and a general (Fidel Ramos) breaking the family pattern but only for a while.

In Malaysia, we have the Razak's including their close relatives the Onn(s?), Mahathir(s?), and the AAB(s?).

My notation of (s?) implies a potential PM in that family, respectively Hishamuddin, Mukhriz and KJ.

On that, many suspect that Najib will be succeeded by his cousin (the son of Hussein Onn), though Mahathir wants his son as PM, and which has been the reason for his current campaign against Ah Jib Gor.

If now-popular Nazir Razak of CIMB becomes PM (a possibility considering Lim KS wants him as an exalted all-powerful tongue-lashing ombudsman to chew up ministers, wakakaka) just remember he is also Razak's son and indeed Najib's brother and thus part of the Malaysian political oligarchy.

Ahmad Zahid as PM will break up the cozy ruling family group, wakakaka.

OTOH, if Anwar Ibrahim is freed and becomes PM, then it could spell another family affair vis-a-vis the PM post a la Anwar(s?) - Wan Azizah, Nurul, Nuha and who-else - perpetuating the Malaysian oligarchy.

Back to now - But if Mahathir loses to Najib, then Mukhriz will be toast, and Mahathir ends like Tunku, a 'one-off'.

That's because even if Najib is not vengeful, someone close to him could be, wakakaka.

The Old Man must try harder or his son will soon be a goner and he'll lose his place among the Malaysian political family-oligarchy, wakakaka.

There are criminals and then there are criminals

MM Online - Can we trust a criminal? (extracts):

don't trust this goose of a criminal
Besides, his evidence doesn't help in the campaign against Najib

..... Justo had thrown the cat among the pigeons when he not only confessed to his blackmail attempts against PetroSaudi but also exposed how Sarawak Report and The Edge obtained the database.

He made a lengthy confession — some 14 pages long — detailing his dealings with Sarawak Report editor Clare Rewcastle-Brown and Datuk Tong Kooi Ong, owner of The Edge Media Group. Justo had agreed to sell it to them for US$2 million (RM8.6 million) although his initial asking price was US$3 million.

He claimed British-based Indian businessman Kamal Siddiqi had connected him to Rewcastle-Brown, who had then introduced him to Tong through a Malaysian opposition politician. Justo even named the politician, who has in turn threatened to sue anyone who connects him to this transaction.

Tong, while admitting having obtained the database from Justo, said he never intended to pay the Swiss.

Justo claimed some of the information used in the attacks against Najib were not from his database. Justo gave three sets of confessions after he was arrested by the Thai police in June at his Koh Samui home. [...]

In one of his confessions, he not only admitted his blackmail attempt but stressed he was not involved in any political conspiracy and he was only after the money, especially from PetroSaudi.

Is Justo now blaming Rewcastle-Brown and Tong for everything? Or is he trying to absolve himself from further criminal prosecution?

There have been claims Justo and several others had committed various crimes — from money laundering to trying to overthrow a democratically elected government.

Justo, by his own admission, was no more than a common criminal out to extort his former employer and when he failed with his blackmail, he took to selling his stolen goods to the highest bidder.

Yet, his information was touted to be from a “whistleblower” — someone who wants to blow the lid on something bad. Yet, Justo said he was a failed blackmailer who was doing it for money.

So, how reliable is his information? Did he alter the information to suit his monetary greed?

Sounds like an interesting take on the testimony of a criminal. But then, shouldn't we uphold that what's good for the goose should be too for the gander?

do trust this gander of a criminal
Besides, his evidence does help in the campaign against Najib

Thus what about the so-called "evidence" (and "new evidence" at that) of convicted criminal-murderer Sirul Azhar Umar?

But obviously he's an okay type of criminal, because al Jazeera Mary Ann Jolley revealed as "new evidence" in the Altantuyaa case a Sirul conversation with his relative (wakakaka - my late mum would have testified that I'm a very good person, in fact the best there is, wakakaka again). Sirul's relative is a bloke who's known anonymously (and rather conveniently, wakakaka) by the nick 'Frank', to whom Sirul had claimed he was just a fall guy in the murder case of Shaariibuu Altantuyaa. Of course lah, wakakaka!

Oh, then there's also his SMS allegedly blackmailing Najib but (again conveniently) communicated to an alleged Najib’s intermediary, Abdul Salam bin Ahmad but damn it, not to Najib himself. BTW, who and where is Abdul Salam bin Ahmad? Wakakaka.

Thus by the remarkable standards of these "new evidence", we have but no choice (and indeed with great delicious devious delight) other than to pronounce Najib as damnably guilty by unsubstantiated allegations and unproven association, and who should be hung at the nearest jambu tree A.S.A.P a la the vigilante justice of the American Wild West.

In the al Jazeera report on the murder by Mary Ann Jolley, Sirul had claimed that it was Razak Baginda who shot Altantuyaa (WTF! And here we have been persistently told it was either Najib or better still, Rosmah? F* spoilsport!) whose corpse the two poor innocent cops were instructed to dispose of.

May I now take you back to a report by Bangkok's The Nation* on 13 March 2009:

* I'm afraid I've to use foreign news media for my sources on the history of the case as I do not have premium subscriptions and thus access to the archives of local news portals, but I'm fairly confident they would be just as good as they would usually be derived from local news

In October 2006, Altantuya was informed that the commission paid by Armaris had arrived in the Kuala Lumpur bank account of Perimekar, a company owned by Baginda.

Altantuya went to Kuala Lumpur to claim her share of the commission from Baginda; she said she was entitled to US$500,000 (Bt18 million). She and Baginda had already broken up prior to this.

Meanwhile, a jealous* Rosmah Mansor, the feared businesswoman and wife of Najib Razak, objected to any payment to Altantuya.

* Rosmah jealous? Presumably of Altantuyaa? So Rosmah had a 'thing' with Razak Baginda? Wakakaka

For several days, Altantuya harassed her ex-lover. On October 18, Baginda could no longer tolerate the daily scenes made by Altantuya in front of his house. He contacted the director of the Special Branch, Musa Safrie, who happened also to be Najib Razak's aide de camp.

[Director of the SB (an organization under the Home Ministry) was also and only a lowly aide de camp to the Defence Minister? Of course it's wonderfully convenient when the target is Najib, wakakaka]

On October 19, 2006, just before 9pm, two Special Branch officers, Azilah Hadridan and Sirul Omar, were sent to Baginda's house, where Altantuya was gesticulating and shouting. They were ordered to "neutralise the Chinese woman". They kidnapped her, shot her several times, then destroyed her body with C4 explosives, which could only be obtained from the Defence Ministry. Altantuya's entry into Malaysia was erased from immigration records.

And yet we have been informed by the "new evidence" that it was Razak Baginda who shot her and had the two cops remove her corpse? In fact, in an Asia Sentinel report (follows - also available at Din Merican's blog), eyewitnesses saw the two cops taking Altantuyaa away while very much alive.

According to news reports, Shaaribuu found out where Baginda lived, but she never got to see him. Police say she did receive a phone call to meet him on Oct. 29. But according to news reports she was seized by several individuals, pushed into a car and driven away, never to be seen again.

Aisehman, just when we are all tuned to the likelihood of Najib or Rosmah shooting and C4-ing her.

It would seem the "new" surrogate target to get Najib is no longer Rosmah Mansoh but Razak Baginda, who I have to admit would be a better choice and who was probably ignored in the earlier syiok-sendiri campaign to get Najib through his equally-hated wife.

Sirul is currently being held back by Australian authorities ONLY because it's Australia's policy to never send any criminal back (extradited) to a country which has the death penalty and for which the criminal is likely to be subjected to.

Don't get the incorrect idea that Sirul has been found NOT guilty by Aussie authorities or that he is a free man in Oz. He's not and is still considered a convicted criminal who has to be kept behind bars BUT only that he cannot be extradited to Malaysia because of the death penalty hanging over his head.

So, what's good for the Xavier Andre Justo goose should be also applied to the Sirul Azhar Umar gander. We should thus ask: Is Sirul's so-called "new evidence" his ambit claim to be absolved from the crime of murder and therefore obtain freedom and permanent residence in Australia? Has Sirul been creative in his "new evidence" which is only linked to Najib by allusion, illusion and (hopefully) perception?

The following was what The Nation also reported:

A November 19, 2006 report from the Malaysian police, which has been kept secret until now, reveals precise descriptions how this young woman, a member of Asian high society, was killed. In this document, one of the killers, a policeman of the Malaysian Special Branch named Sirul Omar ('Umar' misspelt), replied to questions by an officer at a police station close to the murder scene.

"When the Chinese woman saw that I had a gun, she begged me to spare her, saying she was pregnant. Azilah [Sirul's commanding officer] grabbed her and threw her on the ground. I immediately shot the left side of her face. Then Azilah took off her clothes and put them in a black plastic bag. Azilah noticed that her hand was still moving. He ordered me to shoot again, which I did," said Sirul.

This is the first confirmation of Altantuya's killers' identity.

"Then we carried her body into the woods. Azilah wrapped explosives around her legs, abdomen and head, and we blew her up."

The revelation of this report in the French newspaper Liberation is the latest chapter in this dramatic saga featuring French arms dealers, Mongolian shamans and Malaysian politicians.

WTF! Where does that leave us with our invincible belief in both Najib and Rosmah being the killers?

2nd WTF! Why has this so-called "new evidence" surfaced now, amidst the anti-Najib campaign by the M faction, where it's being said by Mahathir (in a Malaysiakini report) that the PM can even be arrested by police overseas?

What was not mentioned (because alas, it's a bloody f* fact which you shouldn't be bothered with) is that the PM or for that matter, any PM or diplomat, enjoys diplomatic immunity abroad and cannot be touched, with one exception, that on matters involving war crimes.

But Malaysiakini also reported: However Mahathir cautioned he was merely speculating. "It is a possibility, I am guessing, not that it would happen."

Wakakaka. He was just flinging poo then.

Then Mahathir drew on the example of Sudan's President Omar al-Bashir who is wanted by the International Criminal Court for war crimes, genocide and crimes against humanity in Darfur
(but an alleged crime ignored by many Islamic countries, Russia and China, etc). Oh incidentally, didn't Mahathir once preside over (or organize) an 'international court' to trial George Bush for war crimes? Wonder why Mahathir didn't raise Bush Jnr's name? Wakakaka.

Is Najib also accused of war crimes, genocide and crimes against humanity? C'mon lah, Tun, don't tembak with such an offensively outrageous odious comparison.

3rd WTF! Is this just about flinging lots of poo around Najib and hoping a bit may stick on him somehow, at least perception-wise if not legally? Wakakaka.

Goose:
"Why don't they trust me when they do you. I am productive and can lay eggs yet you can't."

Gander : "Darling, they don't want eggs. They want shit. And I can give them that, lots of it."

wakakaka
