PKR on the wild side of Sabah politics

Extracts from Free Malaysia Today's Anwar-Shafie ‘tie-up’ against Amans?

PKR ..... has now eagerly accepted an invitation from the godfather of the Suluk Filipinos (Shafie Apdal) to make a common cause in Sabah against the Aman brothers.

It’s not surprising that PKR has no qualms about walking on the wild side of politics in Sabah.

It is an open secret in the state that Opposition Leader and de facto PKR chief Anwar Ibrahim was among the chief architects responsible for placing illegal immigrants, mainly drawn from Suluk Filipinos, on the electoral rolls.

He was then in the Barisan Nasional government as deputy prime minister and finance minister.

Anwar’s shady past in Sabah has caught up with him in the present to haunt his future.

And why should be surprised when this man was also responsible for PBS being ousted from rule when the party just won the 1994 State election, thanks to DPM Anwar Ibrahim's Machiavellian frogological manipulations. He earned his UMNO stripes by succeeding infamously in subverting the rakyat's democratic choices.

Most of the Sabah PKR members have fled en masse to the State Reform Party (STAR) led by Jeffrey Kitingan who was PKR vice-president until January last year.

PKR has since pledged, in an act of political suicide, that illegal immigrants in Sabah would all be given permanent residency (PR) status should the opposition alliance seize the reins of power in the state.

The 2nd paragraph worries me for many reasons, chiefly a betrayal of the Sabahans and the DAP. Is it true? I hope not.

Mind, I won't be surprised if it is. It'll then be merely another incident of PKR opening up kang kang to prostitute away (again) its political principles, or whatever little is left of that.

Regardless of the outcome of GE13, the Chinese are going to end up being sodomised by this charlattan.

As though the Chinese ( or the rest of the 'nons' for that matter ) are not properly and thoroughly sodomised for the past 4 decades !

Why should one be surprised by that charlattan ? Isn't he from UMNO and he has proven he will be UMNO no matter which party vehicle he climbed on/formed to make a comeback after he was unceremoniously dumped by the Dogter.

Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea....the Chinese still prefers the lesser evil, what choice do they have ? The Devil sapu bersih...at least with the smaller devil, there is still some room to manoeuvre. With the Devil now, langsung tarak chance lah, heheh

But that does not mean the charlattan have a free ride....that's why all so-called neutral voters will tarok him kuat kuat for his UMNO ways. We won't keep both eyes shut tightly to his machiavellian machinations. He thinks he's ever so clever pulling wool over our eyes but no go lah....he made too many enemies and all will be found out and available freely on the WWW. Bless the Internet, yeah !

The Chinese community in Malaysia are richer than they have ever been, even as they scream "unfair BN/UMNO Government".
What is unfair about the UMNO Government?
I am not even counting the Mega-Rich Billionaires, just the common upper middle-class businessmen, the vast majority of whom are Chinese.
Today is Sunday. Just take a survey around their favourite haunts in 1Utama, Mutiara Damansara and Mid-Valley. The vast, uncountable number of luxury cars driven by Chinese is a testament to their control of the economy, after nearly 40 years of NEP.

The average Malay just drives a creaking rusty Proton Saga to buy minimum survival groceries at KR1M.

    Again,
What is unfair about the BN Government?

BN has many flaws, but under Najib's leadership, it represents Malaysia's best hope for resolving its many challenges and moving towards a successful future.

What is unfair about the UMNO Government?
I am not even counting the Mega-Rich Billionaires, just the common upper middle-class businessmen, the vast majority of whom are Chinese.' - by Tanah Melayu

That's the usual trouble with these Queen's-English-speaking Melayus. They talk as though the 'WEALTH' of the Chinese ( or the wealth of the rest of the non Malays too )is a commodity/item that can just be found by walking along the city roads, pick it up and put it in your pocket.

Just to give you a real case : there's this Chinese lady whose husband divorced her leaving her to fend on her own and she struggled on to support for herself and her young son. By sheer dint of hard work and very prudent managing of her income, coupled with some borrowings from her siblings, she started, years later after the divorce, a small company dealing with a health product for which she has gotten a distribution rights. Then as her company grew, she moved to a much bigger office and now have her own factory after convincing her German principal to give her a licence to manufacture the health product for the South Asian markets.

If she had been working almost 13 to 14 hours a day EVERY DAY ever since her husband left her, she's now working almost 16 hours every day. She attributed her hands-on management style as one of her 'ingredients' to success.

Of courses now she no longer stayed in a rented apartment. She lives in a guarded mansion now, and drives a mercs. But she pays her dues....RM 55,000 for the AP ( to some Ketuanan ) over and over the car excise duties etc, AND, get this, she also have to pay a 'toll gate' fee for EVERY unit of the health product she brought in to a RM2 paid-up bumi company.

Did she rob or steal to live in a mansion and drive around in a luxury car ? Is her business legitimate ? Do our country need people like her to help in our GDP growth ? Aren't these are the very people, together with the working class, that contribute to the nation's coffer via of their yearly taxations. How else would the civil servants survive...as now, 3 taxpayers are needed to pay for every 2 civil servants. So why are the burgeoning growth of this middle class so annoying to the likes of Tanah Melayu ? Should we the nons be as destitute as the majority of the Indians to escape castigations from Tanah Melayu ?

    ReplyDelete
  29. As for Tanah Melayu's comment that "The average Malay just drives a creaking rusty Proton Saga to buy minimum survival groceries at KR1M".....he has to take this up with his Ketuanan party UMNO which claims that ONLY it can defend and care for the Malays. Who hijacked the NEP for their own enrichment ? Who pocketed the billions derived from APs every year ? Where did the 51 billion of the Bumi equity disappeared to ? In whose off shore banks private accounts now the RM 1.3 trillion that have quiety gone out of the country.
The Minsisters and their cronies are not talking of millions now, which are chicken feed to them. How many ex Finance minister in the world could retire and open banks all over the world, notably in Africa ? How many ex PM could go off to his private cattle ranch in Argentina to ride horses ? and another ex PM with his yatch and mansion in down south under ? And an AP queen could have a helipad on her rooftop to beat the traffic jam. And that first lady with her birkin handbags and 120 million ringgit ring.
"Today is Sunday. Just take a survey around their favourite haunts in 1Utama, Mutiara Damansara and Mid-Valley. The vast, uncountable number of luxury cars driven by Chinese" - the green-eyed Tanah Melayu said.
Well, today might not be Sunday, but take a drive down to Putrajaya and see all the high end homes there with the most luxurious cars in the porches. Make a guess which people stay in Putrajaya ? Even the streetlights there are imported from UK at RM 120,000 a pop, all courtesy of the taxpayers. Oh, the malays have certainly arrived...these special bumis no longer live on Jalan Kampung or Lorong Binjal...the streets in Putrajay are now Precint 1, Precint 2, and so on.
So Tanah Melayu, you might have to open your eyes ( and your mind ) a little wider before you spew more of your racist rant here.

This is a ridiculous subterfuge you are employing.
In the entire electoral history of Malaysia, DAP has never attempted to go head-to-head with UMNO. It would be suicidal and a waste of the candidate's deposit.

Instead, DAP is currently actively canvassing Chinese voters in Malay-majority mixed-seats where UMNO competes with PKR or PAS, to ensure the Chinese support the PR candidates. This is especially so in Penang, where the Chinese in those UMNO-held seats are really DAP supporters rather than
being supportive of PKR or PAS.

At National level, DAP's Lim Guan Eng has declared that Anwar Ibrahim is their candidat for PM if PR wins in GE13.

So in a very true sense, a vote for DAP is a vote for Anwar Ibrahim.

  40. Maybe time I threw in my 2 cents worth on this....

Many in the DAP Rank and File have no love for Anwar Ibrahim. Attitudes range from suspicion, mistrust, to intense dislike (sounds familiar ? wakakaka). A lot of it is related to Anwar's questionable past as an UMNO Minister/ DPM, when he sometimes acted as a racist Ultra.

    And 916...

Lim Guan Eng, however, is cracking the whip to ensure that in addition to defending DAP seats, DAP organisations in PKR or PAS-held or contested seats are fully committed to support a Pakatan Rakyat win. Especially important is rallying the Chinese in Malay-majority constituencies to vote for PKR / PAS.

The DAP leadership has tasted the intoxicating wine of government power, in Penang, Selangor, and briefly, in Perak.
For GE13, they will fight to hang on to what they have, as well as fully supporting Anwar Ibrahim's bid for Putrajaya.

So, Ktemoc, sorry to say, there won't be any anxious navel gazing soliloquy for me.

I will put in my contribution to ensure a PR win and BN defeat...and if that includes supporting a local PKR MP or State Assembly candidate, so be it..

If we finally succeed, we could end up with Anwar's mug up in every government office in Malaysia....now that's a rather unpleasant thought...wakakakakaka...
