MELAKA, Oct 8 — Police in Melaka have launched an investigation after a video went viral showing an Isuzu pickup truck displaying a sticker in Hebrew, the official language of Israel, with the message “Malaysia is in our hands.”
In a statement, Melaka Police Chief Datuk Dzulkhairi Mukhtar said preliminary inquiries revealed the vehicle is registered to a man living in Gemencheh, Negeri Sembilan.
He added that a police report was filed at 3.32pm on Monday by a man who serves as the special religious officer to the Melaka chief minister.
“The complainant lodged the report after seeing a 14-second video showing an Isuzu vehicle with a Hebrew sticker on its body,” Dzulkhairi said.
“Initial investigations indicate that the text translates as ‘Malaysia is our home / Malaysia is in our hands.’”
Police have opened an investigation under Section 505(b) of the Penal Code for acts likely to cause public fear or alarm.
They are also investigating under Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 for improper use of telecommunication services.
The police chief urged the public not to speculate on the video and to allow authorities to carry out a thorough and transparent investigation.
“Police will ensure the safety and harmony of the community is always maintained,” he added.

ReplyDeleteHebrew is also the language used in the Torah.
ReplyDeleteThe last time I checked , it is not a crime to profess Judaism in Malaysia.
Putrajaya will become the laughing stock of the world if it made Judaism illegal in the country.
once Indon and Thailand made the written Chinese language illegal
