3 Chinese curses

I fell sick and failed to blog for three days and what do I read when I come back?

Terrible Curses.

The three most terrible curses in Chinese are (in order of gravity):

(1) Harm-Kar-Ch’an (Death to your family, may your gfamily line become extinct)

(2) Lu Bay Hoe See (May you have a terrible painful violent death)

(3) Peh Moe Boe Kar See (Obviously your parents fail to teach you manners)

The third may appear mild in contrast to the first two but raised in a family with Confucian values (conscious or subconscious), which most Chinese (regardless of religion) would be unless they were adopted at a young age by non Chinese, it’s a terrible insult to a Chinese when the parents are blamed for his or her mistakes, errors or sins. It would be terribly poot how (lacks filial piety) to have one's parents blamed or cursed.

I see certain similarities in Malay culture as well, like being accused with the offensive word of ‘biadap’.

The first one, as one commentator in a previous post mentioned, is likely to get one killed for mentioning it, because it’s such a horrendous curse directed at the target as “May your family become extinct” implying death for all a la genocide.

We are talking of a Nazi wishing ‘Harm Kar Ch’an’ to Jews, or ultra right wing Zionist Israelis to Palestinians, Hutus to Tutsis, and to some extent, Japanese to Chinese (during WWII), or Hindus to Muslims (and vice versa) in India-Pakistan especially during the partition, etc.

It’s such a vile, vicious and venomous Chinese curse which would only be used by an equally vile, vicious and venomous Chinese. The evil of such a curse is unbelievable.

And it’s all the more terrible when the curser is already an old man who is almost at the end of his life to wish such an evil curse on many generations of innocents including the young and yet unborn. And he dares to call himself a Buddhist. How vile, how vicious, how venomous! How evil.

In all my life, while I know of that curse, I have never heard anyone say it out (not aloud anyway).

Just wondering whether we should invoke the second curse but I believe we should refuse to because then we would be descending into the same gutter with an evil barbarous bullshitting bastard wakakaka.

The Revenge of Lord Shiva

Moo moo moo – do you know that the creature is a vehicle of Lord Shiva? When I was at Angkor Thom, I climbed a small hillock to a Hindu temple to watch the sunset, and right there at the steps leading to the pinnacle of that temple was a stature of Lord Shiva’s moo moo motion machine, indicating the shrine was dedicated to The Hindu Destroyer.

‘Twas hardly surprising that Malaysians Hindus were upset when some racists used a cow head to deliberately and desecratingly insult them just because of a proposed Hindu shrine in a suburb where the residents were mostly Muslims. Surely there could have been a less provocative way of objecting to the Hindu shrine for that suburb.

Then there was a photo-shopped (fabricated) image of Lim GE sembilih-ing a cow at a mosque, where its pathetic fradulent purpose was a sinister political message to outrage both Muslims and Chinese against Lim GE and the DAP.

When one messes around with an animal Hindus hold in respect, it wouldn’t be farfetched to imagine some of them would have appealed to Lord Shiva to curse the desecrators wakakaka. And I believe His Divine One has (wakakaka again).

So, we have the NFC story and its heavy duty millstone effect on UMNO in general and Najib in particular.

The NFC scandalous corruption is indeed as Zaid Ibrahim mentioned, chickenfeed compared to far more outrageous corruptions hanging over UMNO’s head, such as forex, MAS, this and that contract, etc.

But it’s a far more juicy dish, and served medium rare with choice mustard or wasabi, or even as rendang, would be more digestible to the heartland than some complex issue like forex or MAS shares.

NFC is a perfect model of KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) issue for political campaigning because within the rustic worldviews of the heartland, the good people can perceive and grasp the bovine issue, the amount of money loanedgiven away sans basic cow sense, and the way those money had been misused. By comparison, forex and MAS and the far more complex technical-engineering contracts might just whoosh over the top of the heartland’s heads.

If Pakatan keeps pounding on the NFC corruption and the wanton profligacy of Shahrizat’s family, the message of arrogant, reckless and totally unaccountable corruption will seep in.

We should actually thank Shahrizat for holding on as long as she possibly could because it helps Pakatan's case.

Indeed, her gross obduracy has been so excruciating to UMNO people that not only Dr M had told her to pordah but her old rival Rafidah has now come out in sweet revenge to excoriate Cow Mama (or Mama Cow).

In Malaysiakini’s
Rafidah: You call that 'quitting'? the former minister stuck her knife into Shahrizat and said BullCowshit lah, where got sacrifice one? Senatorship die liow on 08 April so no longer can be minister what. So what resign, you got no cow sense ah?” Moomoo-hyddin should be the no-cow-sense lembu to tell that to, wakakaka.

Daim Zainuddin, who recently gave UMNO and MCA a bullcowshit flop of a plug was reported by Malaysiakini in its
Cowgate may decide polls, warns Umno veteran as saying:

"Generally people tend to forget an issue after 14 days but 'cowgate' is different, regardless of ethnicity, whether Malay, Chinese or Indian, they all know what a cow is about, the rural folks also know the value of a cow."

‘Tis only the revenge or punishment of Lord Shiva. That's no bull man, wakakaka.

GE-13 - UMNO going it alone?

As we know, Najib has been endeavouring to regain the support of the Indians and Chinese, although his deputy and lieutenants have been either deliberately or unwittingly throwing big spanners into his works. UMNO realizes too late now that it has lost the support of the Chinese.

Thus, in fighting for its survival, it has been rumoured that UMNO is considering the option of abandoning its BN allies, mainly MCA and Gerakan, many of whose candidates had depended on Taiko for ‘safe’ seats in Malay-majority constituencies.

Not surprisingly, given the cruciality of GE-13, UMNO members want to have their own party candidates in those seats, arguing that their allies like MCA and Gerakan, apart from not pulling their own weight among the non-Malay voters, are likely to be shunned by the Malay voters. Thus, wouldn’t it more logical to have UMNO candidates in the Malay-majority areas, with a greater chance of winning?

This tactic (rather than strategy) may not be as assured as the UMNO members may want to believe. Unless the Malay-majority for such a seat is in the region of at least 90% of the constituency's voters, the beneficiaries of such an UMNO election approach may well turn out to be PAS and PKR instead.

Take for example, federal or state seats which have registered voters with the following ethnic percentages, say notionally, Malays 70%, Chinese 27% and Indians 3%. And for simplicity sake, I’m assuming all 3% Indian voters will go BN though I'll say something about this later.

If UMNO abandons its MCA and Gerakan allies whose candidates (presumably Chinese) had previously stood as BN candidates in the model constituencies, then it would not be out of turn to say that it’ll be likely all 27% of Chinese voters, even BN supporters, will automatically ABU.

And I wouldn't be surprised if MCA and Gerakan members (though probably not their leaders with 'interests' in an UMNO victory wakakaka) will role-play the French Maquis wakakaka. That will leave UMNO and PAS (or PKR) to battle out for the 70% Malay votes.

Unless UMNO is confident it can garner at least 51% of the voters in each constituency (in the general case, only Malay votes with perhaps a sprinkling of Indian ones), the seat will go to PAS or PKR.

The question that need to be answered then is: will UMNO be able to win at least 48% of the votes in a constituency from just Malay votes? ... to add to the 3% pro-BN Indian votes.

The UMNO prospects will dim further if the percentage in registered Chinese votes in a constituency increases.

But wait - Don’t forget we’re assuming all the notional 3% Indian votes will go to BN which I did qualify by stating my earlier assumption was purely for simplicity sake. We may expect in general that the Indian votes will be split 80:20 in favour of UMNO. Thus, it’s again not good news for UMNO’s proposed tactic for GE-13.

However, what will be in favour of UMNO (leaving aside the EC and other public institutions in this discussion) would be the deep loyalty of the ’heartland’ for UMNO and the support of the royals, whose judicious royal nods for UMNO can exponentially enhance the commitment of the heartland.

Incidentally in this UMNO proposed scenario, to go it alone and f* the MCA & Gerakan wakakaka, PAS may actually fare better than PKR, whose de facto leader is currently being blackened by UMNO's allegations of his close associations with Israel. True or otherwise, the barrage of UMNO's badmouthing will have an effect on his appeal to the heartland and consequently those of his PKR party candidates.

Unfortunately, many in the heartland will accept that there is truth in the allegations of Anwar's close affiliations with Israel.

Anyway, PAS had in an earlier forecast, predicted it could win in 60 federal seats with mixed ethnicity (say, Malays 65%, Chinese 25 to 30, and Indians 5 to 10%) at the expense of UMNO.

With this UMNO new election doctrine of playing it safe, PAS' predictions may prove prophetic. Maybe that's why the Erdogens have been successful in keeping a tight leash on the Ulama faction, probably whispering "Now, don't you guys f* it up when we are so close to realizing our dreams, so shut the f* up!" wakakaka.

But I wonder whether UMNO is falling into the 'play safe' ethnic trap that PKR had walked into in the Ijok and Hulu Selangor by-elections. Then, PKR considered the ethnicity of the party candidate for election overrode everything, including its claim as a multi-racial party.

By contrast, in the Ijok and Hulu Selangor by-elections. UMNO had daringly showed it was willing to stand an Indian in each of the constituencies. PKR on the other hand ignored firstly the appeals of its Youth vice-chief S. Manikavasagam and secondly, the arguments of Malaysiakini CEO Premesh Chandra, Dr Chandra Bose and at that time 'still PR-friendly' Dr Chandra Muzaffar wakakaka for PKR to put its money where its claimed multi-racial mouth was, by nominating Indian candidates as well.

But alas, in the Ijok by-election, Superb Superman Supremo bypassed his so-called buddy Nallakaruppan and parachuted in Khalid Ibrahim - wakakaka, another reason for Nalla to be pissed off with the Great One.

The same PKR play-safe mentality was again seen in Hulu Selangor, though of course at that time we weren’t aware that someone in PKR had already seen Zaid Ibrahim as a future competitor in the PKR leadership hierarchy and sabo him kau kau by providing UMNO with photos of Zaid’s imbibing forbidden ambrosia wakakaka.

Naturally, the Indians were utterly furious with Anwar’s choices for the Ijok and Hulu Selangor by-elections, and accused PKR of 'cakap tak serupa bikin' in its claimed multi-racial credentials.

To recapitulate, Najib and the BN not only won the two by-elections with an Indian candidate in each, but in doing so, that was, putting up non-Malay candidates, also the moral high ground.

But that’s all gone to waste because today the non-Malay voters won’t recall Najib’s daring 1Malaysia gamble in Ijok and Hulu Selangor, more so with this rumour of UMNO pushing aside candidates of its allies in a new UMNO gambit.

Just how in the world has the Chinese swung over from Tunku's UMNO to a once-feared PAS, and to such an extent that UMNO has to evolve an election strategy that assumes no Chinese support? Where's the muhibbah support that UMNO enjoyed in 1999 and 2004?

Big time f*up? That’s for UMNO to answer.

The 2 dreams of Lim Kit Siang

One of my concerns prior to the 2008 general elections, and even years before it, had been about, or rather for Lim Kit Siang.

For more than 40 years in politics, since 1969, Uncle Lim has striven at the highest level of politics, unlike other politicians who indulged in low level guttersnipe politicking, such as shamefully making fun on women’s menstruation, the short skirt of AirAsia air stewardesses (and hoping to see the 'tunnel'), threats of violence to shut the opposition up (waving a May 13 book while warning against stirring up the tebuan hive), or boasting about removing Rosmah Mansur from her honorary position as Pro-Chancellor in a Selangor State controlled university, photo-shopping a dinner for three in France, etc etc.

I believe Uncle Lim had two dreams, one for DAP to take over as the Penang State government and the other to deny BN its two-third majority so as to prevent UMNO from abusing and altering the Constitution whenever UMNO saw fit to do so.

I was concerned because I thought he won’t see his dreams come true in his political life time, but I'm so very glad I was wrong.

08 March 2008 made his two dreams come true, though on a slightly sweet sour note, he didn’t become the CM of Penang as he thoroughly deserved. But I would say he was happy enough, especially being a Chinese Malaysian to partake of the sweet & sour dish wakakaka, in that his son became what he had wanted to be, the CM of Penang, ...

... mind, not so much to enjoy power per se (like a certain someone wakakaka) but to be able to develop good policies, implement exceptional programs for Penang and its people, and govern the state in a clear, accountable and transparent (CAT) manner.

In Malaysiakini’s
Confluence of times past, times present in times future, Terence Netto has written on a recent Pakatan gathering at the Thean Hou Temple in KL, and reminisced about a similar gathering back in 1987 which led to the infamous Ops Lallang.

Netto said of the prelude to that draconian police dragnet, which saw the detention of Lim Kit Siang, Karpal Singh, Mat Sabu and many others (but of course not Najib Razak): Back in 1987, the Thean Hou temple was the scene of an MCA-inspired gathering of language activists who were seething over a government move to place non-Mandarin proficient administrators in Chinese medium schools.

The poisonous seed that Ops Lallang grew from was the Education Minister’s policy to place non-Mandarin-proficient administrators in Chinese medium schools, and was perceived by Chinese parents and teachers as a deliberate UMNO intention to dilute the very high standard of the vernacular schools.

Again, the Education Ministry at that time was also responsible for making doa prayers compulsory for all including non Muslim students, very much to the outrage, anguish and despair of non-Muslim parents. It was sheer brutal proselytizing.

The UMNO Education Minister then was none other than Anwar Ibrahim. This is an undeniable historical fact.

Anyway, f* all above, the one-paragraph extract I have selected from Terence Netto's article for my post today is:

[Lim] Kit Siang has been making the case for intelligent choice by the Malaysian electorate for some 45 years now and at times in the past that must have daunted him as Sisyphean in scope.

But today there are many things to rejoice for Uncle Lim:

(a) As mentioned earlier, his dreams and constant battle to deny BN of its two-thirds majority in Parliament has been achieved on 08 March 2008. Penang is today governed by a DAP-led government. These were his ‘wishes’ that his supporters including me wanted for him to realize before he ‘retires’. And he has.

Many like Hindraf and anwaristas had stepped forward to claim respective credit for the tsunami of March 2008. While that would be only natural of politicians, and I'm not concerned about repudiating their claims, I personally believe the main reason was the people were ready to trounce the BN. In many ways, UMNO had contributed to the swell of anger against itself, because of its publicly demonstrated arrogance, racism and corruption including misuse of public institutions for its own political interests.

Some 40 years ago, long before there was a politician named Anwar Ibrahim or an organization like Hindraf, the people had kau kau punished the Perikatan (Tunku's Alliance Party and BN’s predecessor). I'm referring to the 10 May 1969 general and state elections. For example, the people of Penang kicked out MCA and put Gerakan in place. They did the same again on 08 March 2008, this time annihilating Gerakan and MCA, and installing a DAP-led state government.

Then, in Selangor there was virtually a stalemate election result which led the constitutional experts to mull wonderingly whether a non-Malay could be the MB of Selangor. The PPP-DAP-Gerakan grouping also made a significant dent in the Perikatan's Perak holdings.

The 1969 tsunami was achieved without Anwar Ibrahim or Hindraf which has been why I personally believe the main cause for the 2008 political tsunami was the readiness of the voters to trounce the BN, as they did to Perikatan back in 1969. The voters in 1969 and 2008 of course were Malaysians (Malays, Chinese, Indians etc).

Alas, three days later, on May 13, racial riots broke out. The official figure was 196 killed but many were skeptical of that.

Poor Tunku who loved all of us blamed the communists because he just couldn’t believe nor accept his wonderful Malaysians would kill other Malaysians. Many accused the late Harun Idris, former MB of Selangor, for the riots which incidentally started from his official residence.

But Dr Kua Kia Soong published a book in 2007 in which he revealed that the riot had been intentionally started by the "ascendant state capitalist class" in UMNO as a coup d'etat to topple Tunku Abdul Rahman, meaning the Tun Razak clique had masterminded the violence. One can look at that coup d'etat in many ways, though Tunku himself (in his post-PM writings) expressed his hurt by that most treacherous of betrayal.

To say the truth, so Judas kissed his master
And cried, 'All hail!' when as he meant all harm

- William Shakespeare (King Henry the Sixth, Part III)

UMNO has often voiced its pride about the Malay concept of loyalty to the liege lord (superior, boss, penghulu, kepala, raja, party president). That may be true about the Malay rakyat, but we know from the post-May 13 coup d'etat and in more recent times, some UMNO members, while claiming to be both Malays and Muslims, have often demonstrated their un-Malay-ness and un-Islamic behaviours, when their loyalty to their leaders and fear of the Almighty flew out of the window.

Thus, on treachery, there has been no greater display of this lack of loyalty than by UMNO. Even Dr M felt his severe marginalization during the AAB reign, especially by his fellow Kedahans he had personally promoted and looked after, blokes like Osman Aroff, Johari Baharom, Saad Man and Dr M's own Kubang Pasu mob - see my September 2009 posts as follows:

(a) Et Tu Baharom
(b) The UMNO Interdiction of Dr Mahathir
(c) No Hang Tuah for Dr Mahathir

Anyway, because of May 13, Uncle Lim was detained for 18 months under the ISA. He was again detained for almost the same duration following Ops Lallang.

In 1979, poor Uncle Lim was convicted of five charges under the OSA for exposing an inappropriate arms deal between the government and a Swiss company.

I suppose I'd be safe to presume that, like the Malacca case in which his son suffered unjustly while the culprit got away scot free, Uncle Lim was charged while those responsible for the dodgy Swiss arms deal were not touched – can anyone enlighten us on this?

(b) The second of our rejoicing for Uncle Lim is that his task in educating and persuading Malaysian electorates to make intelligent choice is not so Sisyphean anymore, thanks in no small part to his indefatigable dedicated sacrifice for over 40 years. Today many Malaysians have come to realize and appreciate their rights, their choices to effect the political outcome they want.

Of course they still have to deal with a shamefully unprofessional and pro-UMNO public institutions.

(c) Lastly but not least, last year he celebrated his 70th birthday, a landmark in his life long career of serving the people. It was nice of Ku Li to wish him a happy birthday in the public domain. Sadly, our politics have deteriorated into silly childish partisan and hostile-racist form that very few BN politicians had the civility to wish him well on his auspicious day. I recall Uncle Lim making a courtesy visit to Dr M when the latter had a heart operation. That’s the high level of Uncle Lim’s morality, decency and civility.

But a hiccup did occur in his political career when in the 1999 general election, he lost out to his BN opponent, due to his supporters’ perception that as a member of the Barisan Alternatif, the DAP had sold out to PAS and its hudud laws.

The sadness of that event was not so much in his election loss, but, as someone wrote (I think in Malaysiakini comment section), after the election result was declared, Uncle Lim was seen walking away, all by his lonesome self. I feel terribly sad to read of that.

But his fighting spirit obviously didn’t falter for he came back magnificently in 2004 and again in 2008.

I salute Yang Berhormat Lim Kit Siang, a true Malaysian and a giant in Malaysian politics.

Motive to murder - seeking Confucius' help

In my post The motives of love, lust, lucre and loathing I quoted P.D. James, who had served for thirty years in various departments of the British Civil Service, including the Police and Criminal Law Department of Great Britain's Home Office, as well as being a magistrate that “All the motives for murder are covered by four Ls: Love, Lust, Lucre and Loathing.”

Everyone who has been following the Altantuyaa case including the most learned judge knows that Altantuyaa was blackmailing her ex lover Razak Baginda with such aggression that he became terrified enough to ask for special protection, so most would say there was initially love and lust in their relationship, and then when the passion and ardor turned cool and relationship soured, the blackmailing for money (lucre) kicked in, with the final outcome of loathing, probably of a mutual nature.

Thus, it was an astonishing pronouncement by his Lordship that notwithstanding Razak Baginda’s possessing all the likely motives (which of course don't necessarily translate into criminal action), those motives couldn’t be the basis to suspect him (Razak Baginda).

It’s hardly surprising that most Malaysians would cast their eyes on siapa godfather nya? Of course his close friendship with Najib plus alleged corrupt armed purchases have deepened the suspicions that there had been kow-tim-ness. These suspicions are all natural, logical and thus unavoidable, and coupled with the (lack of) reputation of our kow-tim-able judiciary, has led to accusations that our Malaysian Don Corleone had intervened. I'd go along with such suspicions.

Be that as it may, while it’s one thing to suspect Najib helping his buddy, it’s quite another to accuse Najib of being the killer or the man who gave the order to pull the trigger.

But that is the sentiment currently prevailing among PKR people who wants Najib implicated, not just as an accessory to the crime but as the prime suspect, the man who ordered the murder of Shaariibuu Altantuyaa.

In my readings of the various available articles and news reports, I could not find a single shred of evidence of Altantuyaa harassing Najib, or waiting outside his (DPM) house to pounce on him. All I gleaned from those was Altantuyaa going after Razak Baginda, her former lover.

Of course there was that mysterious photograph as well as Balasubramaniam’s double SD’s. I’ll touch on them in my next post.

Quite frankly, after reading the comments in Malaysiakini on the judge’s dismissal of charges against Razak Baginda, such as “The 2 policemen had no motive to murder Altantuyaa” or ...

... as someone commented in my last post in Exploiting the murder of Altantuyaa Shariibuu that “The UTK goons who were convicted were just the idiots who shouted 'Aye Aye Sir' and carried out the orders. Who gave the order to drop the bomb?”, I came to the conclusion that even if the judge had called Razak Baginda to give his defence and he was subsequently found guilty, those baying out for blood would still not be satisfied.

No siree, not with Razak Baginda or even those already ‘found guilty’, namely Azilah Hadri and Sirul Azhar.

Just a reminder, the two policemen were the ones who were the last people with a still-alive Altantuyaa when they whisked her off from Razak Baginda’s house to her sad fate.

Those MKINI readers want Najib’s head. They want him not just as an accessory to the murder (in helping Razak Baginda) but as the murderer.

Why?

Wakakaka, let’s talk about that in a future post. But to end this post, I am seeking the help of an ancient Chinese to help me conclude my piece about possible motives. Kǒng Zǐ or Confucius said that “A picture is worth a thousand words”, so please have a look at the following pictures (or photographs).

Altantuyaa Shariibuu was undoubtedly a very beautiful woman.

***

Subsequent Note: When I posted the above photos I made the same mistake as many others in believing they were of Shaariibuu Altantuyaa when they were not, but of a Korean model who committed suicide in Paris.

Nonetheless I've left the above photos in this post as I believe they serve a purpose, to illustrate a likely motive in the 2 policemen murdering Altantuyaa.

It is a line of thought which has struck me as quite plausible, but I admit it won't satisfy some people's politically driven belief that Najib has been the culprit or murderer. That has been why many argued that those policemen must have acted on orders a la idiots who shouted 'Aye Aye Sir' and automatically carried out the orders.

As I mentioned above, that even if the judge had called Razak Baginda to give his defence and he was subsequently found guilty, those baying out for blood would still not be satisfied until Najib was found guilty and hung whilst his chief political foe become the DPM to AAB.
***

Okay a quick revision, P.D. James said “All the motives for murder are covered by four Ls: Love, Lust, Lucre and Loathing.”

But I don’t suppose any of above can answer the comment in MKINI, namely, “The 2 policemen had no motive to murder Altantuyaa”.

Really? Or has that been toxic opportunistic politics talking?

Incidentally, I might recall for readers the sad murder of another beautiful woman, namely The Canny Ong Murder which you can read here and here.

photo of Canny Ong from Kosmos

Now, please tell me who gave Ahmad Najib Aris the instructions to rape and murder Canny Ong on the night of 14 June 2003?

After all, wouldn't you PKR people agree that The 2 policemen Ahmad Najib Aris had no motive to murder Altantuyaa Canny Ong.”

Exploiting the murder of Altantuyaa Shariibuu

Though I promised to provide my analysis on the likely motives behind the Altantuyaa Shariibuu’s murder, I realize after reading the various articles (including my many posts on it) that I would probably need a book to cover what I want to present to you.

Obviously that’s not practical as it would take ages to complete my wannabe ‘Magnum Opus’, so I’ll have to do it gradually part by part, post by post.

The murder of a mother is always a tragedy but when the murder is exploited by political expediencies, that catastrophic blow continues to ravage every living member she left behind for unnecessary long periods.

Such has been the unthinking evil of people who deliberately capitalize on her untimely death for their selfish political interests that I pen
Murdering Altantuyaa Shaariibuu Again at my other blog, where I spoke for her as follows:

As I journey through the darkness of cold oblivion
Borne on the back of Shava to meet his master
Assigned to Samsara by cruel nefarious forces
Which ended my karmic forces violently, abruptly

In my odyssey, wandering by the woeful Acheron
Was there a time when I had felt soothing voices
To comfort me amidst my lonely pains and fears
Yes I do, only from the One who is fragrant Pure

But the loudest noises are they calling for ‘justice’
Though, I smile cynically, ‘twas not meant for me
Their shrill proclamations & belated outrage (sigh)
Startled even great Gujir Tngri and the 77 siqar

Grandstanding acrobatics, their excuse to dispense
With all norms, purportedly all for me (wry smile)
I must confess I view with scepticism and distaste
As I would professional chest-pounding mourners

Gnashing Colgate mint-flavoured peroxide-d teeth
Wretchedly wringing manicured Ulan oiled hands
Shedding date-expired plastic bags of lo-salt tears
Proclaiming to be 11th hour paragons of ‘justice’

Even Ataya Tngri rolled his ancient eyes upwards
While Emegelji Eji cackled with caustic laughter
The ancient pair could see abacus shaped hearts
Clicking furiously and shaming Casio calculators

By sheer speed of their computation of advantage
What to extract, exploit, extricate from my name
Squeezing the very last speck of desiccated blood
From my hyper cold shattered fragments of bones

Eager hands raided the ossuary for me to be laid
As stepping stones for the progress of a demigod
On Ardha-Matanga, 4 tasks & seven white trunks
Saluting Brahma, walking to Amarawati by a lake

As the pseudo-pious pirouetting pachyderm crushes
What little good left of my name, what trust exists
In my family’s hope for requital of my cruel murder
I realize those raucous battle cries were not for me

Summoned by conjured justice to now serve Fenrir
To break asunder Gleipnir but only with my death
Re-evoked, for my soul to be murdered a 2nd time
To satiate the burning thirst of Angrboda’s 1st child

This continuous murder of Altantuyaa by Malaysian politicians had/have only prolonged the torment and mourning of her family especially her father, poor Shariibuu Setev (Steve).

And the ‘other side’ of course countered the attack on them through the exploitation of Altantuyaa’s murder with equally unscrupulous tales that only those who loved fabricated stories (like those lies about Lim GE’s son) could come up with, such as those of Altantuyaa being an immoral woman etc, which have only further punished and tortured her family.

All these lamentable Malaysian cruelty has been caused by the political overlay, that has unfortunately for her family worsened the sad tragedy.

I came by the Altantuyaa's story quite late, but nonetheless was struck with immense sadness by the murder of a mother. Her children will grow up but only with memories of her, because they can never see her again.

I was compelled to write something in memory of her (before the above criticism of Malaysian politicians) which I titled
Remembering Altantuyaa Shaariibuu

I am the Golden Beam*, from
The land of steppes, come to
The South Seas to Malaysia
called the Mountains of Asia

* Altantuyaa = Golden Beam

‘Twas no Shambula as promised
But of evil Gehanna, sent there
By C-4, 1.34 times more powerful
Than C6H2(NO2)3CH3, or TNT

In that shattering blast, in a tick
Golden Beam* I was no more
But thousands shattered shards
Of tears, blood, and deep regrets

Never to see my children again
Where I am I have met Erlig Qan
But I am not yet ready to submit
To his reign until I taste justice

Oh, if only I can quench my thirst
To drink sweet requital, my due
Against unimaginable evil cruelty
Just a wee sip from across the Styx

Will the Heavens sense my sorrow
My wail of uncompromising pain
At the loss of not just my young life
But treasured sight of loved ones

O, Sulde Tngri, Dayicin Tngri and
Gesar Khan, I offer thee, Holy Triad
Votive arca or juniper branches &
Berries, & kuji the sweetest incense

I pray, let they who judge be brave
Resolute and just, and not render
My tormented soul to wander in
Perpetual odyssey, sans retribution

I yearn to return home soon to rest
Among the elm-trees and willows
To hear the larks trill their sweet
Songs over the endless steppes

Please, let me gaze once more at the
White snow cap of Nayramadlin Orgil
Then I'll know I'm home once again
To close my tired eyes as Golden Beam*

My good friend Susan Loone was kind enough to post ‘Remembering Altanuyaa Shariibuu’ in her blog.

Then she informed me she showed a copy of it to Steve Shariibuu (the father) when he came to Malaysia. He was pleased with my ode for her and said he would have it published in a Mongolian newspaper.

Yes, I wish for the soul of Altantuyaa to return home where she can see the white snow cap of Nayramadlin Orgil, to then rest among the elm-trees and willows, and close her tired eyes while listening to the larks trill their sweet songs over the endless steppes.

To be continued ….

Another MCA leadership shame?

Free Malaysia Today - Ling ordered to enter defence

In delivering his ruling, High Court judge Ahmadi Asnawi says with the absence of other evidence, he will not hesitate to conclude that the former transport minister intentionally induced the government to pay a higher price for a plot of land for the PKFZ project.

“He opted not to make known to the Cabinet what he had known,” he added.

Ahmadi said that Ling, as the “number one man” in the transport ministry then, should hold the highest accountability and cannot claim ignorance over a recommendation on interest that caused the price of the land of about 1,000 acres to balloon from RM1.088 billion to RM1.808 billion.

Of course, according to the laws of Malaysia, he is deemed innocent until proven guilty. But as a layman, I have to say, what with his Lordship's words, Ling's case sure as hell doesn't look good.

If he is found guilty, he will have the dubious record of being the second MCA President (or ex President) to be jailed.

Tan Koon Swan was the first. Remarkably Tan had, just prior to his imprisonment, won 76.9% of the votes cast in the MCA party presidential election in November 1985.
It was the largest majority in the party's history, thus it could be reasonably claimed that Tan KS was the most popular president ever elected in the MCA. He was also the first challenger since 1954 to win the party's national leadership.

Alas, his popularity among MCA delegates didn’t prevent him from another 'first', being jailed by not one but two nations, firstly by the courts of Singapore and THEN after his 2-year sentence was served there, by the courts of Malaysia.

And in those imprisonments, he achieved yet another 'first', the first MCA President to masuk lokap, and as mentioned, not once but twice.

What Tan’s successful election as the most popular MCA president ever elected, coupled with his subsequent imprisonments, showed was the stupidity of the MCA delegates, who repeated their dumbo-ness in recent times by electing CSL and Liow Tiong ‘my beloved PM’ LIE as their pair to lead an already severely wounded and moribund party, instead of a more rambunctious Ong Tee Keat who was actually preferred by the Chinese community (but lamentably, not the MCA delegates and their self-interests).

I suppose that must be what people call 'death wish'.

Thus far, no UMNO, Gerakan or (wakakaka) MIC president has ever been jailed, which I'm sure would be due to their low-cholesterol high-Omega-3-oil diet wakakaka.

I wonder whether Datuk Seri Harun Idris was the only UMNO leader to be jailed for corruption. He was sentenced to 6 years imprisonment but on recommendation by PM Dr Mahathir, was pardoned by HM after 3 years in Pudu (where it was said he served in its library).
Like another UMNO leader who went to prison for murder (and also subsequently pardoned), he went into and exited prison with his Datukship intact. If found guilty, Ling could well be be the first Tun, though I'm quite sure HM will tarik balik that dulu wakakaka.

It’s a pity that years after Harun Idris was pardoned, Dr M failed to recommend to HM to pardon Lim GE who was incarcerated not for corruption but for what was a blatant miscarriage of justice - where the courageous defender of the rights of an underage Malay girl was jailed while the (statutory) rapist not only got clean away, but was subsequently honoured by HM as a Tan Sri.

We are still waiting for Dr M's long overdue apology to Lim GE, and also to HM for recommending an award to a sleazy slimy scum.

If I fail and have to go to jail, I have no regrets. I have no regrets of going down fighting for the principles of truth and justice. And pursuit of human rights, especially women's rights. There can be no women's rights if women rape victims are considered equally responsible, and even detained, whilst the accused remain free — Lim Guan Eng

The motives of love, lust, lucre and loathing

Aiyah sayang saje, if only I didn’t focus on writing Vice greater than 7 Deadly Sins yesterday, I would have pipped my hero Karpal Singh in asserting the centrality of ‘motive’ in murder, specifically in the murder of Altantuyaa Shariibuu.

It’s not that I’m a learned erudite lawyer like my Bai guru but wakakaka I have read a few books on crime, of course only for knowledge and entertainment.

In the most simple approach, and avoiding the pitfalls of legal definitions, I would say that if someone has been killed and there was motive, it’s murder. If there wasn’t any motive, then it’s probably manslaughter.

Only the most mindless moronic murderer wakakaka would deliberately kill someone without motive, but then I suppose his lawyers could plead insanity (and he would probably win too), wakakaka.

Karpal has been, probably still is angry with the bizarre statement of the Shah Alam High Court judge Mohd Zaki Md Yasin, who astonishingly said
"Whatever the motive was, it is a matter of law that the motive, although relevant, has never been the essential to constitute murder."

And this was AFTER he admitted that Abdul Razak Baginda could have had a motive to murder Altantuya as she was blackmailing him.

But then the most learned judge stunned every legal person in Malaysia (well, almost everyone) by declaring the motive cannot be the basis to call for Razak Baginda's defence.

So, my Lord, what basis if not motive should be the case then? Would a videoclip of the murderer (plus 4 witnesses) plunging the knife (or detonator) into the victim's heart do?

The famous British crime author, P.D. James, who served for thirty years in various departments of the British Civil Service, including the Police and Criminal Law Department of Great Britain's Home Office, as well as a magistrate and as a governor of the BBC, wrote in her book The Murder Room that “All the motives for murder are covered by four Ls: Love, Lust, Lucre and Loathing.”

So did those four L’s, love lust, lucre (money) and eventually loathing exist in the relationship between Altantuyaa and Razak Baginda?

Well, everyone including the most learned judge knows that Altantuyaa was blackmailing her ex lover Razak Baginda with such aggression that he became terrified enough to ask for special protection, so most would say there was initially love and lust in their relationship, and then when the passion and ardor turned cool and relationship soured, the blackmailing for money (lucre) kicked in, with the final outcome of loathing, probably of a mutual nature.

But I suppose his Lordship knows best in asserting that motive cannot be the basis to suspect someone, so much so that Karpal Singh was moved to say:

The High Court has provided a precedent for the acquittal of a person with a motive to murder and charged with abetment without calling his defence.

It’s the first time in this country that an affidavit used for the purpose of bail and later tendered as an exhibit was used to acquit an accused person.

Mind, I’m no longer surprised by our amazing judiciary ever since the unbelievable (original) Adorna ruling where the Malaysian court (supposedly of law) helped crooks relieve rightful owners of their properties.

Tomorrow or during the weekend I will attempt to analyze the murder of Altantuyaa Shariibuu based on all the readings I have done (and not reckless emotions).

But in the meanwhile, we can say our judiciary, like our equally remarkable police, has done a Boleh-one again.

Vice greater than 7 Deadly Sins?

The Christians have their 'Seven Deadly Sins', while the Jews find theirs in the Mishlai (Book of Proverbs) where Solomon taught that "six things the Lord hateth, and the seventh His soul detesteth."

And do you know the seventh that God detesteth?

It’s “Him that soweth discord among brethren” wakakaka.

Throughout the Bible, the sins are repetitively mentioned, though strangely, in this atheist’s opinion, there was no embarrassment by Solomon, or more correctly the compiler of the Bible, when he named the 2nd sin as “a lying tongue” wakakaka.

Anyway, rather than talk about the religious-listed sins, let’s consider vices (of a personal nature and not religious sins) though I read that in Islam, Ibn abi Dunya, a 9th-century scholar and tutor to the caliphs, described seven vices as worldliness, ire, envy, slander (wakakaka, obviously this teaching hasn’t reached Malaysia yet), obscenity (kaytee smirking), intoxicants and instruments of pleasure.

Buddhism names as vices the absence of shame (wakakaka, reminds me of someone), absence of embarrassment (please stop it Lord Buddha, I’m collapsing from laughter, wakakaka), jealousy, anger, concealment of wrongs and particularly for Buddists, a range of unnecessary emotions - am still giggling helplessly which being an emotion perhaps may be considered as a vice for Buddhists, wakakaka.

But from a secular perspective, what would be ‘vice’, which is the subject of my post?

The dictionary defines it as ‘an immoral or evil habit or practice’.

I propose to omit the utter evil of pedophilia from the list as it is more than a vice; it’s a f* evil crime which we all must, as far as we possibly can, smash, obliterate and annihilate, where no quarters should ever be given.

Traditionally, we consider vices as drinking - principally of alcohol though I would not recommend taking too much fizzy drinks wakakaka but I reckon we can include in this group the taking of harmful drugs such as opium in earlier days to the current heroin, etc - womanizing and gambling. Modern awareness has also included unacceptable stuff like pornography as a vice.

My personal take from observations and experience is that the worst of the lot is … yes, gambling.

I’ve seen families broken up in utter tragedies because of a member's uncontrollable addiction to gambling, of how mothers cried as their addicted sons and daughters gambled away the family assets like savings, houses, and in some countries, reportedly even wives and children.

Drinking, drugs taking, womanizing, etc – they’re bad of course but the terrible consequences of gambling is deep seated and far far more reaching than a drug addict (including an alcoholic) finally succumbing to his/her own addiction.

Thus I would avoid gambling because of its unmitigated risk taking, more so as the high risk taking of gambling seems to be associated with the Chinese more than other races.

By stating this I’m not a Chinese self-hater like a man who frequently reminds everyone who cares to listen he’s a Melayu wakakaka. I’m quoting from an interesting book by Dr Desmond Lam titled
The World of Chinese Gambling (2009), where he identified Chinese as the ethnic group with the highest risk-seeking behaviour in gambling.

Two years ago (in happier ‘Mediterranean climes’ wakakaka) I wrote
A disease deadlier than AIDS for the Centre of Policy Initiatives (CPI) about the lethality of the gambling disease ...

... which brings me to the core question of Malaysia-Today’s post on Mahathir's Disastrous Financial Speculation.

Financial speculation is without any iota of doubt just gambling, not unlike punting on Empat Ekor or speculating on shares. We know or have heard of housewives, maid servants (especially in Hong Kong) and many others playing the stock and futures markets, many to their financial doom with some even committing suicide.

But when a PM of a country put the nation’s resources on the world's financial table, not unlike a Chinaman staking his money in a game of baccarat in Macau or blackjack in Genting Highlands and Singapore, we are not talking about mere thousands or even millions.

RPK’s post quoted The Asia Sentinel report that: ... Malaysia’s central bank, Bank Negara Malaysia, at the urging of then-Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad, began speculating aggressively in global foreign exchange markets, at one time running up exposure rumoured to be in the region of RM270 billion -- three times the country’s gross domestic product and more than five times its foreign reserves at the time.

RM270 billion! My knees feel f* weak at the thought of that sum.

Didn’t Dr M know it was gambling? Could it be, impossible as it sounds, he has some secret drops of Chinese (gambling) blood in his heritage, to indulge in such risk taking?

In his book, Dr Desmond Lau states that, among many factors contributing to the gambling problems of the Chinese, their superstitious beliefs represent a major influence and consequently, their unwarranted conviction that they could exercise control over the gambling outcomes.

We all too often see this pattern of behaviour in our local Chinese seeking divine or supernatural help from every nook, crook and corner for, what Penangites would term as, chun-chun see ay jee (the correct 4 numbers) for a win.

So, was Dr M similarly equally superstitious to possess such ‘unwarranted conviction’ that he could exercise control over the financial speculation (gambling) outcomes?

The Asia Sentinel continued:
Mahathir and Bank Negara ..... walked away with a US$4 billion loss, followed by another US$2.2 billion loss in 1993, the total equivalent of RM15.5 billion.

Although the disastrous trades destroyed the entire capital base of Bank Negara, after first denying it had taken place, the then-Finance Minister Anwar Ibrahim repeatedly reassured parliament that the losses were only “paper losses” and, now that he is Opposition Leader and head of the Pakatan Rakyat opposition coalition, has managed to skate free of the controversy.

Remember, it was Lim Kit Siang (not kaytee) who raised this issue of Anwar Ibrahim’s involvement and misleading of Parliament.

Eventually, the Finance Ministry had to recapitalize the central bank, almost unheard of for any government anywhere. It is reliably estimated that Bank Negara lost as much as US$30 billion in this and other disastrous currency trades, costing the head of the central bank and his currency trader deputy their jobs.

Lost US$30 billion!

And we haven’t even touched other issues like Maminco, MAS, etc yet.

And today Dr M has the bloody cheek to preach to us on matters economic, social and financial.

Open tender vs negotiated contracts

3 days ago, Free Malaysia Today published Perkasa mob ticked off for ‘un-Malay-like’ behaviour which reported:

The Penang Malays Congress (PMC) today hit out at Perkasa members for causing the ugly Esplanade ruckus during the anti-Lynas peaceful gathering on Sunday.

PMC secretary Mohd Noor Mohd Abdul Kader also condemned Penang Perkasa leader Mohd Rizuad Mohd Azudin for rudely showing a shoe to Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng when the DAP leader was leaving the place in his official car.

Mohd Noor criticised the Perkasa mob for being “un-Malay-like” in creating the disturbance at the peaceful gathering, in which two reporters were roughed up.

Now, you know why UMNO considers DAP as its No 1 threat in the coming election – not PAS, not PKR, but DAP which UMNO once dismissed as a small irritant belonging to MCA-Gerakan’s problem area.

UMNO is obviously terrified of DAP’s clear foot in the Malay heartland which I posted in January as
UMNO fears DAP beachhead. I then wrote (extracts):

And that’s why the DAP's beachhead in the heartland must be destroyed before it makes further inroads in making the rakyat realize that DAP is truly a multiracial party which can deliver its promises in a C.A.T fashion, and thus successfully secures the invasion of good governance.

Thus, to UMNO’s thinking, "Ceterum autem censeo, Carthaginem esse delendam" (Furthermore, I think Carthage must be destroyed) where it sees DAP as Carthage.

This has not been the first time the Penang Malays Congress (PMC) has spoken out fairly and responsibly as a 'Malaysian-oriented' organization, and thus, indirectly in support of Lim GE and his Penang government.

The reason for such a monstrous wakakaka sea change in Penang's Malay attitude may be read in RPK’s post
EPISODE 18: Selangor government still to end negotiated contracts, where wrote as his opening paragraph:

Lim Guan Eng in Penang is already practicing the open tender system, so much so that a number of contracts ended up in the hands of Umno people. I suppose that is what transparency is all about. Contracts go to those who are qualified, not to those who belong to your political party.

Now, can you see the C.A.T doctrine in action where meritocracy (not mediocracy) is the order of the day, every day, in the governance of the Lim government?

By contrast, according to RPK, the Khalid Ibrahim Selangor government still has the UMNO-style 'negotiated' contracts, despite the MB promising that would stop.

The differences between Lim’s open tender system and Khalid’s 'negotiated' contracts are monster-ish wakakaka. The former is consistent with C.A.T where, as RPK pointed out, even UMNO business people can win the contracts on merit, while the latter’s process had been largely .... well, let me put it this way ... NOT open.

RPK acknowledged that, yes, Selangor’s ‘negotiated’ contracts amounted to around RM350 millions, and by comparison to UMNO’s lamentable legacy of such ‘negotiated’ contracts, would be considered as a relatively small sum.

But RPK in true form sneered: Well, if you murder one person you are a murderer. 100 people and you are still a murderer. There is no such thing as a small murderer and a big murderer. Murder is murder.

Little drops of water,
little grains of sand,
(sand? wakakaka)
make the murky ocean
and the dodgy land

(with apologies to Julia Carney)

So we have to ask, why is Selangor still using an UMNO-style contractual approach? Why hasn't it dropped it (as promised by Khalid) and return to the universally used ‘open’ tendering system, as Penang has done?

Perhaps the world’s greatest economist etc etc can enlighten us! Perhaps he would tell us, again, 'Khalid is very stubborn'? Wakakaka.

Police callous brutality

Malaysiakini - Public uproar over cop who 'kicked' motorcyclist

According to Kwong Wah Jit Poh, motorcyclist Lim Hup Hwang was riding without a helmet about 5.50 pm when he arrived at the roadblock.

Attempting to stop Lim, the police personnel kicked the motorcycle, causing the teenager to fall and hit the road divider.

Lim was taken to the Tangkak Hospital and later transferred to a private hospital in Malacca due to the severe injuries on the head, right ear, neck, right leg and other parts of his body.

The daily quoted an eyewitness as claiming that Lim’s motorcycle was kicked because he did not immediately stop after being instructed by the police to do so.

As if that was not bad enough, the following happened:

The witness then saw a People’s Volunteer Corps member riding a motorcycle. He ran into Lim who was lying on the ground and left the scene hastily.

The witness claimed that the police personnel had stood and watched the whole incident without offering any help to Lim.

The police as usual attempted to lay the blame on Lim as they did on Aminulrasyid Amzah. Like Aminulrasyid, Lim is only 14 years old.

Lim sister revealed:
“This policeman argued that my brother intended to hit him with the motorcycle hence the kick. Fortunately, three good Samaritans are our eyewitnesses (to rebut the policeman). Thank you so much.”

To stop Lim, they kicked his bike, to stop Aminulrasyid they shot him.

Our remarkable police has done it again.

Eons ago in Penang way before my time, as my uncle told me, a police outrider in a VVIP convoy came upon a young boy pedalling a bicycle just ahead, but by the edge of the road where cyclists would be. Without pausing as he passed, he brutally and callously kicked the young cyclist aside, obviously to show that no one should be on the road when a VVIP convoy was in progress.

Unfortunately the boy died. Like Lim Hup Hwang he expired tragically due to severe head injuries.

As a youngster (coincidentally around 14 years old too) I suffered almost the same experience though fortunately for me, the policeman, also on a bicycle, came from behind me and kicked his booted foot right into the spokes of my front wheel (instead of me) to stop me.

Due to the unexpected abrupt stop, I catapulted forward and suffered some minor bruises. Worse for very poor me, my bicycle suffered damage especially to the front wheel spokes. I couldn't afford to repair it and for months I lost use of the bicycle. To add insult to injury, I was severely beaten by my mum for damaging the bike.

I got up with a shock wondering what it was all about. The cop snarled at me for riding double abreast with my mate. Did that deserve such a violent treatment? Then he gave me a ticket.

Coincidentally, he was the cop who sought lodging advice from my neighbour Pakcik Daud, on whom I wrote about in my post
Makcik Puteh & Belangkas over at my other blog KTemoc Kongsamkok.

I had already told Pakcik Daud about that incident. During the meeting, he gently reminded the cop about his unacceptable ‘behaviour’ especially with people in a small kampung and then, best of all for me, urged him to 'settle' the ticket.

The asshole was embarrassed of course and attempted to bull his way through by laying the blame on my mate, claiming he (my mate) was arrogant and refused to stop. But Pakcik Daud knew he had came from behind two oblivious boys chatting away happily while riding abreast. Perhaps the cop wanted to show off his police credentials as allowing him that act of unnecessary brutality. Anyway, the cop somehow had my ticket cancelled, thanks to Pakcik Daud.

Some people just can’t handle power and misapply it. ‘Tis the nature of the beast.

Lessons of history

The Malaysian Insider - No need to bring up BN’s past mistakes, says Muhyiddin.

Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin said although the prime minister admitted Barisan Nasional’s (BN) mistakes, “there is no need to list out our weaknesses; that is in the past”.

“What is more important is in front, in the next 10, 20 years and as the prime minister said, we are ready to improve ourselves and improve on what we have already accomplished such as the national transformation programmes, which includes the economy, government, politics, rural issues and new measures taken by the prime minister and the government, which have an effective impact.

Sorry, my dear Tan Sri, I strongly disagree, because George Santayana advised us that "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it”.

And that’s precisely the reason why we must remember the past, and the important lessons of history - an example on the global scale would be that of the Yanks not remembering its humongous mistake of Vietnam and repeating it in Iraq, Afghanistan and, if the Israelis have their way, Iran.

Of course we needn’t take grudge with everything unsatisfactory that we recall, but when there exists in our national politial landscape a clear picture, pattern and probability of non-repentance, continuing lack of transparency, accountability and proper governance, then we should, as far as our democratic process allows us, not permit the future to become another copy of the past.

Reminder: "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it” wakakaka.

Mindless Malaysian Myrmidons

Often I have employed the word ‘anwarista’ in my writings, wakakaka. I don’t suppose I need to explain what it means.

I was told RPK coined up this word. I presume he must have based it on the Sandinistas of the Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN in Spanish), where FSLN members were called Sandinistas. Apparently the FSLN organization was named after Augusto César Sandino, the charismatic head of the Nicaraguan resistance against the USA occupation of Nicaragua in the 1930s.

Charismatic head? Wakakaka.

kaytee has in turn described anwaristas as Myrmidons, the ant-soldiers of Achilles.

In Greek mythology, the Myrmidons were known for their ferocity and blind unquestioning loyalty to their leader. Their eponymous ancestor, meaning the ancestor who gave them their name, was (naturally) King Myrmidon of Phthia, Thessaly.

The story tells us King Myrmidon was the result from an illicit sexual union, in which Almighty Zeus in the form of an ant seduced a mortal, Princess Eurymedousa of Phthia. Hence the Myrmidons were sometimes called the ant soldiers, perhaps as a reminder of the source of sperm which gave birth to their tribe.

Sex with an ant? Wakakaka. But I suppose it's better than with a frog, wakakaka again.

However, in medieval Europe the word Myrmidon meant ‘hired ruffian’, which may not be fully applicable here wakakaka, because our mindless ‘ruffians’ are not hired but actual devotees, like Achilles' ant soldiers.

Now, my reason for selecting the term Myrmidons to describe anwaristas had been inspired by a dictionary description of Myrmidon as "a loyal follower, especially one who executes orders without question, protest, or pity - unquestioning followers", wakakaka.

Now, doesn’t that dictionary definition so aptly captures the very character of those mindless moronic mechanical cyborgs (cyborgs as per the notorious mindless Borgs of Star Trek movies mumbling "Resistance is futile") wakakaka.

They are very much like low brow George ‘Dubya’ Bush, asserting their doctrine of “either you’re with us or against us”, so if you question their hero, you must be from the enemy BN – and if a Malay like Zaid*, an UMNO Trojan horse, or if like kaytee wakakaka, then a MCA paid cybertrooper earning a magnificent RM300 per month which is almost AUS $91 – wow, wakakaka (Pos Laju has been very slow because I'm still eagerly waiting to receive my first payment wakakaka).

* Zaid Ibrahim was a government minister (for Law) who resigned on principles against the use of ISA to incarcerate Teresa Kok of the DAP and a Chinese newspaper journalist, in stark contrast to someone who remained quiet like a mouse when Lim Guan Eng was unjustly incarcerated for defending the rights of an underage Malay girl.

They don’t care whether their accusations are true because they are so devoted to their hubristic Achilles wakakaka that, damn the entire world, their accusations of blokes like kaytee must be, have to be true. To them it’s not possible for a pro PAS or pro DAP person to dislike their icon, so these people must definitely be from BN.

Hey, Lim Kit Siang must be a BN cybertrooper too for exposing their great leader's complicity in the forex scandal. And don't forget, Pak Haji Nik Aziz could be one too for challenging and embarassing manmanlai in his declaration to WSJ of his total support for Israel, wakakaka.

Stretching further out to other targets to be destroyed, these Myrmidons would, for example, demand that a person like, say Marina Mahathir, must denounce her father for her to be considered as clean and acceptable - hmmm, just so because her father is their hero’s nemesis?

Apart from a truism that it is utterly cruel to require a son or daughter to condemn a parent, and I am an Asian, I would not respect Marina if she ever denounces her parents, no matter whether they are mass murderers or thugs. One can disagree with one’s parents and refuse to do what they do or what they want one to do, but one can never ever badmouth them, no matter what their sins. As Chinese would say, a put-how (unfilial) child is an affront to the Heavens and would be struck down by lightning.

Marina Mahathir is responsible for her own conduct and the master of her own destiny. Her father’s should be those of her father. She doesn't need to be unfilial just to be accepted, which she should be on her own rights and merits.

Just look at RPK’s post
Your 10 questions with Datin Paduka Marina Mahathir, where one of the visitors, chanal 58, left this terrible mindless comment:

Never bother to read what she wrote. Never believe she is an angel in Bersih 2. The many many SINS from her Mamak Papa to the Rakyat of Malaysia can never be cleansed and forgiven. Please remember that every night you go to sleep. Same to your brothers.

It’s not unlike the Israelites’ belief in the biblical saying that ‘the sins of the father will be visited upon their children for several generations’

Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me – Deuteronomy 5:9

and

I will even repay into their bosom, both their own iniquities and the iniquities of their fathers together – Isaiah 65:6-7

… which I opine is utter nonsense on the basis of logic, commonsense and secular justice, but then, a Myrmidon could not even understand democracy (of unacceptable manmanlai frogology), let alone logic, commonsense and secular justice.

Hmmm, shouldn’t we then demand Nurul Izzah denounces her father for despatching thugs to bash up the international and local participants of Apcet II and wreck the conference, and then boasting “Our mission was to stop the conference and we did just that”?

Shouldn’t we demand she denounces her father for the shameful attempt to subvert the supremacy of the ballot box as in his deformasi 916 frogology, more so after PKR people claim the Great Man has changed from being Vlad UMNO-cula into Mr Reformasi?

Shouldn’t we also demand she denounces him for the following deformasi sins:

• Islamic doa requirements at school to include compulsory participation by non Muslim students, effectively a proselytizing program
• Sparking the onset of Ops Lallang through his sinister attempt to send non-Mandarin educated headmasters to vernacular schools
• Silence in the persecution and incarceration of Lim Guan Eng in the Melaka statutory rape case – where silence was agreement
• Subversion of democracy during the 1994 Sabah post-election election frogology (to be repeated but failed in 2008)
• Forex fxxkup
• Demagoguery ('Cina balik Tiongsun', 'stop the bells from ringing at Indian temples', etc)

Should we also comment on Nurul as follows:

Never bother to read what she wrote. Never believe she is an angel in Bersih 2 or the more pretentious Puteri Reformasi. The many many SINS from her Mamak Papa to the Rakyat of Malaysia can never be cleansed and forgiven. Please remember that every night you go to sleep. Same to your sisters.

In my post
A Tale of Two Sweeties I wrote:

… whatever good Marina Mahathir might have done (as in AIDS and women affairs), they (as well as some UMNO-BN people too) would impute some ignoble motive on her part

Sometime back, I read an article (somewhere
, and also indicated above in that Myrmidon’s comments at RPK’s post) where the author aired his distrust of Marina’s motive in walking with Bersih 2.0, suggesting she possessed a secret agenda to infiltrate Bersih a la the Trojan Horse to destroy it from within. Well …

Then there were others who questioned her ’enjoyment of the privileges’ of being a PM’s daughter as if she could only be free of guilt if she had chosen someone else to be her parents. Such has been the stupidity of those mindless comments.

And incidentally, did Nurul not enjoy the same privileges when Anwar was the powerful rightwing DPM from UMNO?

Anwaristas' double standard! Or, Myrmidon moronic mindless mentality?

Mindless, moronic, muddle-headed, striking out recklessly or machine-gunning down (with wild accusations) everyone they don't agree with (or who disagree with them), some even mouthing sheer utter mindless nonsense at blogs wakakaka, which has been why I remarked to one such person, words to the effect, that I continue to be astounded by his endless stupidity (because his wild bizarre mindless accusations).

You know something? These Myrmidons are no different at all from those 50 hooligans who harassed Lim GE at the Himpunan Hijau rally at the Esplanade in Penang – exactly the same, whether they are from UMNO-Perkasa-Suara Anak-Anak Malaysia-Komtar Traders Association or anwarista-ish Myrmidons, all thugs a la Apcet II, probably offsprings of the same ancestors.

Sex with an ant? Wakakaka.
