The new Ah Longs?

MCA has loaned seats to UMNO (federal seats of Kuantan and Wangsa Maju, and state seats of Jelapang,  Tronoh) and PPP (Kota Laksamana).

Lord, thank you for making the stupid Gerakan see the right way
to give way to my once glorious party

and thank you in advance for
my party's hopeful return to its former glorious self

wakakaka

Not to be outdone, Gerakan has joined the new Association of Boe Laan Hoo .. Ah Longs and is now also loaning seats to PPP (Kepong parliamentary seat and Kota Alam Shah state seat - for more, see Malaysiakini's Gerakan 'loans' three seats to others.

Cheekily it has also loaned Skudai (state seat) to MCA, who I bet must be now looking desperately around to offload the unwanted gift, wakakaka.

Just imagine that prior to 2008 Gerakan and PPP were tearing at each other's throat over Taiping.

Both Gerakan and MCA are Chinese-based parties and let's not split meaningless hair over the former being a multiracial party when there's not a single non-Chinese MP or ADUN from Gerakan.

Obviously they have read the writing on the wall, that they can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but they cannot fool all the people all the time (quotation from Abraham Lincoln).

Other than their members, towkay supporters and cronies, the Chinese Malaysians have had enough.
But PPP should be cautious when dealing with unusually generous Ah Longs, especially Chinese Ah Longs, wakakaka.

After the Ah Longs have 'done' with them, wakakaka

But then we can't blame PPP, can we, for what can it lose when it's already dead!

  1. My prediction is Gerakan will win a few State seats in Penang.
Many Penangites have woken up to the need for checks and balance to Lim Guan Eng's hardline decision making style.

  3. Ktemoc, weren't you the one who coined the nick "Raja Bodek" for the Gerakan Penang Chief Minister even before GE12?

It shouldn't be a surprise that Gerakan is also proving to be Ball-Less in the runup to GE13.

  6. Just got an update from friends who were on the ground in Gelang Patah up to last night.

    Things are looking good.

Najib's move to deploy Ghani Othman as the candidate there is a brilliant one. The well-liked and respected current Johor MB is now the hot favourite to win.
Lim Kit Malam was expecting to be opposed by an MCA lightweight or even Chua Soi Lek. Given the low regard most communities currently have for the MCA, Kit Malam would have romped to a victory.

The game has now totally changed.

The racially-charged Chinese chauvinist campaign which "Multi-Racial" (B*S*) DAP has run in Gelang Patah has turned off almost all Malays, even PAS supporters, and Indians. Even Chinese fence-sitters have been very uncomfortable with DAP's campaign rhetoric.

Lim Kit Malam has his Waterloo coming up very fast on May 5.
He will not be missed in Parliament.

    1. shall we now pay homage to Abdul Ghani Othman and his PIVOTAL race which doesn't include Indians and Chinese? Ghani told us he didn't and presumably doesn't believe in equality for all Malaysians.

    2. The fact is, Ghani Othman as Johor MB has been moderate and fair to all races.
A rising tide lifts all boats, which is what is happening in Johor.
Johor Chinese and Indians know that very well.

Its not much relevant other than racist baiting to dredge up what Ghani may or may not have said 10 or 15 years ago.

    3. "may or may not have said"

Kalai, you're in self denial wakakaka. Just a mere 6 years and widely reported all over.

  7. Ghani has overstayed his welcome as MB.It is Umno's way of saying bye bye.He is Umno's sacrificial lamb to lion Kit Siang.

Because of "boh lam phar" Chua Soi Lek and Koh Tsu Koon,Mca and Gerakan will get punished this coming GE and be decimated.

  8. Going by some of the comments, it is possible that these people do not know the difference between the responsibility of a Member of Parliament (MP) and a State Assemblyman (ADUN). Simply put, MPs administer the country while ADUNs run the State. Administering the country include determining the laws of the country. Gelang Patah is a Parliamentary seat. So who do you want to represent you in Parliament, Lim Kit Siang or Ghani Othman? Lim Kit Siang was jailed a couple of times for voicing out the rights of the rakyat. I said, rakyat, not just Malay, Chinese, Indian, etc but for all Malaysians. Did he do that to keep his popularity and ensure a seat in Parliament? If he wanted a comfortable life, he could just betray his principles and accept the numerous offers from the ruling BN. A good example is Hee Yit Foong, the State Assemblywoman in Perak, who switched from DAP to BN to tilt the balance of power to the BN. Someone commented "what have DAP done for the Chinese ever?". DAP is a "Malaysia for Malaysians" party. DAP works for all races. Remember how Lim Guan Eng fought for justice for a Malay girl that was allegedly raped by a VVIP in Melaka. He was jailed for that. Penang has the most foreign investors in the country the last few years under the prudent management of Pakatan Rakyat led by Lim Guan Eng from DAP. Surely the Chinese in Penang also benefitted from this. Do we still want a race-based government or a truly Malaysian government? The power is in your hands.

  9. Kalai is right on one score. The game has now totally changed. In fact it has changed since 2008. And like all strategic inflexion points, those trapped in the old mindset are unable to see it right up to the very end. Kit Siang will win comfortably. There will always be some Kalais around but many smart Johoreans know that the time has come for them to make their votes count.

  10. Lim Kit Siang, Karpal Singh and others have sacrificed a lot for Malaysians while in the Opposition. They were hauled into detention without trial by Mr Mahathir bin Iskandar Kutty because he was afraid of them. They did not commit a crime. Otherwise you can be sure the Mr Mahathir s/o Iskandar Kutty would have brougth them to court. In detention, they were treated badly -- not even given enough water to drink, resulting in damage to their kidneys and general health.

DAP MPs like the late Fan Yew Teng were charged numerous times for speaking the truth, hand-cuffed each time in order to humiliate them while LGE actually went to prison and was humiliated there on a daily basis by his jailers.

So you still ask how did they serve the public? They did it by standing up for you and me without any regard to their own interest. They did not get APs, grants or even lembus like that Cowgate people or steal money like those in charge of the Port Klang scandal. They did not set up Co-Ops to steal from the Rakyat or a Maika to steal from the really poor.

Anybody who thinks otherwise does not deserve to receive the dignity of a reply from you and me. I say to the people in Johor -- it is time! This time, no matter your race, vote Pakatan and get rid of BN.

    1. Could not have said it better. We all owe a gigantic debt of gratitude to selfless Malaysians like Kit Siang, Karpal, Guan Eng and many others.

  11. In the 2004 elections, the nons gave their full support to BN to obtain the best ever win in history.

In return, the subsequent UMNO assembly conducted the most provocative keris waving display ever, spewing disdain to the nons.
