Will Pakatan oil royalty promise be punctured?

MM Online - Kelantan MB to Dr M: 5pc oil royalty OK, 20pc better (extracts):

KOTA BARU, May 23 — The Kelantan government stays with its 5 per cent oil royalty claim as stipulated in the agreement signed between the state government and Petronas in 1975.

Kelantan Mentri Besar Datuk Ahmad Yakob said the royalty claim was among the things to be discussed at a meeting between the state and federal governments in the near future.

He said he would send a letter to inform of the meeting between the two parties in the near future and was waiting for the right time to pay a courtesy call on Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad in Putrajaya.

“We stay with a 5 per cent royalty claim. It is very generous of the Pakatan Harapan federal government if they want to give us 20 per cent (as in the manifesto). This matter we will mention in the meeting with the prime minister,” he said.

Wakakaka.

Let's see if the Pakatan government will keep its words, to increase oil royalty to the relevant states to 20%.

Hope that inflated promise doesn't puncture or as Penangites would say, 'paang-check', wakakaka again.

Mungkin Tua P'au Sian Saje, wakakaka.

20% instead of 5%

  3. There's an apt name for such creatures who betray your trust and when the fight is over, they just come to your door knocking pretending they were innocent bystanders and asking for alms. You give 5 and they want 20.

  4. I support squeezing PAS Hadi , contingent upon reasonable cooperation ....not everything should be gentlemen's rules....wakakakakaka

I have NOT forgotten or forgiven the way PAS Hadi stabbed Pakatan Rakyat ( at the time) in the back.

    3. Kelantan has been under PAS for 27 years. Which do you think is more important to them?

    4. So...PAS no need to argue about money, then ?

Kelantan/Terengganu are not in the same position as Sarawak.
The Malaysia Agreement , which included Singapore at the time, made it clear the 3 states enter Malaysia with significant separate rights, not simply absorbed into Malaysia.

    5. An agreement is an agreement whether between states or between nations. It must be honoured to the letter. And yes, Kelantanese would rather suffer in poverty than being oppressed. They never minded that they only got 5% royalty but since its PH that promised to give 20%, the onus is on them to fulfill this promise. It too, must be honoured to the letter.

  5. Hang on....the Kelantanese people themselves REJECTED the 20% royalty offer.

    The proof?

Harapan got kicked out of Kelantan. They won ZERO Parliament seats and ZERO state seats. So it is rather thick skin of PAS to beg Harapan for money when PAS rejected them at the ballot box. Shameful if you ask me.

  6. Same for Terengganu. Harapan got rejected 100%, no Parliament or state seats, meaning the people of Terengganu don't want the 20% royalty. Thick skin if they ask for it now.

  7. I don't see why Harapan has to fulfil any of its manifesto to Kelantan or Terengganu when they got rejected 100% in GE14. Harapan did not win a single Parliament or state seat in either state. It is most shameful of PAS now to ask for money from Harapan.

    1. Before, you folks were clamouring for oil rights to be fair to East Coast states and even kept bringing up oil royalty in MA63 for East Malaysia. Now that you won the Federal Government, you turn you backs on your promises, which makes PH politics one-sided, vindictive, hate-filled, and childish. You folks are no better than Mahathir's BN. We just traded one oppressor for another. Same shit different smell.

    2. Yell and shout all you want..all these Najib and Hadi's supporters, hehehehe. I am already hearing stirrings of a petition to urge the government to NOT give any oil royalty money to traitors. Padan muka !

And even if the 5% were to be given...the feedback on the ground ( in my ground area at least, hehehe ) is that it should not be given directly. The government I think don't trust these traitors to use the money properly.

Methinks Hadi now regret kau kau for playing peluk peluk and playing footsie with Najib just weeks ago....if one were to scroll back to those moments when these two were so smug and gleeful sitting on top of the world then, with the then-opposition parties quaking with fear and trepidation thinking how these two tormentors will cooperate to make the country falling deeper into corruption and bankruptcy and also to bring the nation closer to being a theocratic sate...ohhh, those were the nightmarish days !

Now this traitor wants the government to give them billions ! POOOODAAAH !

    3. You think Hadi cares about the money?
You think PAS cares about the money?
You think Kelates & Oghang Tranungs cares about the money?

In your bubble, money rules your existence but not this is not so in others. Kelates have proven to you that money is nothing to them. They can't take it with them by burning it.

But fairness to all should have been practiced by PH as this is what you lot have preached!

If this promise cannot be fulfilled, what else is there to be trusted? And we should just sit back and allow this kinda government free reign? MIGHT IS RIGHT kah? POOOODAAAH !

  8. Not even one month into power, already PH is throwing out their promises one by one. So how can they be trusted? How can any of them be trusted?

  10. Offer Hadi units in 1MDB in exchange for oil rights.
    Take it or leave it.

    1. That's a good one!

Besides, continue the money transfer of 1MDB.

Some of this ill-gotten money will be channel via ex-pas Nasharudin Mat Isa via the Global Movement of Moderates Foundation to hadi.

      Just keep digging lah.

This munafik pockets majority of the haram money & passes a fraction of it to pas!

PS, do change yr call sign. It's confusing with a same named zombie here!

    2. What a brilliant idea ! I sokong !

Remember Arul Anaconda had in those days of glory had given a Very Special closed session talk to the PAS leadership and these people came out with glowing approval of the explanation given and in full confidence of Najib and 'very satisfied' with the now converted Arul Anaconda, wakakaka. And Hadi immediately then waxed lyrical about NOT greedy for power, he will "just guide and advise" Najib on how to run the government ala the Iranian Council of the Elders where ONLY un elected Islamic leaders are allowed to sit and control the Prime Minister.

With such backstabbing and spurning of its erstwhile partners...and now the partners shockingly being in the driver's seat...sooo thick skin to ask for alms ! Podah !

Btw...please change your nick..there's one walking-dead using same nick

  11. "Political narrative or facts?

    Najib Razak

    1. Words said and allegations made while in the opposition carries a very different weight now that you are in power and holding the positions of the Finance Minister or the Prime Minister.

    2. Coming out to say that our country’s government debt to GDP is now 65%, which is a big jump from the official 50.9% figure and saying that our debt is now RM1 trillion without giving any details of what you mean will just unsettle the financial markets, alarm the credit rating agencies and investors confidence in our institutions such as our Bank Negara Malaysia.

    3. There must be a clear distinction between political narrative and facts. Mixing them will create doubts on the credibility of our numbers and the professionalism of the institutions that were involved in preparing them, governed by Malaysians laws and international standards.

    4. As a result of these alarming and confusing statements, our Bursa Malaysia index fell the most among all worldwide stock markets resulting in tens of billions of ringgit in market value wiped out in one day. Our Bursa index fell 40.78 points today or 2.21% while the Indonesian stock index added 0.71%.

    5. The business news-portal The EdgeMarkets said this sharp fall in our share market was contributed by concern on our public debt.

Surely this fall would affect our funds such as EPF and PNB and could lower the dividend rates for its members for the year.

    6. Similarly, issuing statements that we should not worry about our country’s sovereign credit ratings being downgraded will result in further rocking the confidence in our institutions.

    7. A downgrade will result in higher debt financing costs of RM10 billion per year to our country and may result in our banks who had borrowed from the international markets to sustain losses. It may also result in large capital outflows from foreign investors and cause our Ringgit to weaken.

    8. While you may want to slander and put all the blame on me to give a perception of a dire financial position to justify why you cannot deliver on your manifesto promises and to massively cut the civil service, you must remember that the country and our people comes first.

    9. You can also issue misleading statements on 1MDB or tell half the story about it to blame me but the time to play politics is over.

    10. Words spoken while in such positions of power result in actual losses to the country and the people, as was proven today in the stock market. It is no longer just about votes anymore."

Mamak has been right & so is LGE in urgrntly & openly disclosing the true economic state of the nation.

No more 'goreng' eco data! No more lies to cover up lies!

Here is one of a better class of home grown finance analysis:

Short term economic pains, can be heavy & drastic due to the long period of cover-ups & ignore.

The rakyat has to prepare to face them. In over coming these finance obstacles, just like in 97, ONLY then can a better days be ahead of M'sia!

The fearmongering of the hippo/jibby ass-lickers is an act of treason. They r just trying to frighten the blur-sotongs about the cutrent econ state of dire straits, as if it is caused by PH!

They just want the jibby lies to be covered up. When it is getting too BIG to hide, M'sia WILL then be a failed state in the like of Greece/ Venezuela!

    4. Do you mean to say that our economists including those in universities, banks especially Bank Negara Malaysia are all ball-carriers, and all reports/balance sheets generated by them are all bull shits?

Deficits can be expanded as long they can continue to provide growth, development, jobs and food to the population be it via mega investments in infrastructure projects.

You borrow to build the nation, and till GE14 there is no evidence there would be unmanageable risk associated with this approach by PM Najib's government.

If you don't agree with him and you want to change and overhaul everything yesterday, then it is not PM Najib's government problem. It is PH's government problem because you think you could manage the nation better than BN.

Now you prove it. You have 100 days less 14 days to indicate to the world that you are better than the previous government. Don't worry none of us will stop you from doing what you want to do for the country - Your Way.

  12. So so many in local financial institutions, banks, funds, economists, BNM were playing Night soil carriers to hide and twists their financial reports under the command of covert depts in the PM dept.

The reality is now sinking in to overseas funds, investors and local funds and investors.
The worst blame among the lot has to be BNM and the MOF.

When are all these traitors going to be hanged?
