PDRM is not the only one exposing details and secrets about the deviant GISBH organisation. Some of its former members have also come forward and spilt the details about what it was like being part of GISBH.
In a recent TikTok podcast by @crowdedroompodcast, a Malaysian woman Zoey shared the horrors as a former member of GISBH and said many members believed that the now-deceased leader, Haji Ashaari Mohammad, better known as Abuya, was responsible for many things that were out of human capability.

This includes the Tsunami that hit Penang back in 2004.
The Tsunami that initially hit Indonesia before “swarming” parts of Malaysia was a “handiwork” of Abuya, according to some members.
“There was a concert on the same day of the disaster, so the members back then believed that Abuya wanted to cleanse Penang,” Zoey said.
Abuya was no simple man in the eyes of his believers. According to Zoey, the members don’t only believe in God but also Abuya, whom they equate to a celestial being. Let’s put it this way, if you were a member of GISBH, you not only had to seek forgiveness from God.
You would have to seek Abuya’s forgiveness, too.
“I made a mistake once, and I was told to seek forgiveness from Abuya. They told me if Abuya didn’t forgive me, Allah wouldn’t even look at me,” Zoey recalled her experience.
Abuya’s bodily fluids were sacred
Zoey also shared more details that involved Abuya’s bodily parts. For instance, his body hair, including his beard, would be mixed into the water, which the members would have to drink.
Some of the GISBH-linked restaurants also allegedly prepared food laced with Abuya’s feet water, but the restaurants have since debunked the rumors.

Abuya passed away in 2010, but many of GISBH’s followers believe that he is still among the living and silently watching over them.
It’s terrifying what a cult can do to indoctrinate its followers.
