Macai's of Home Minister Hamzah Zainuddin free to break MCO?

Malaysiakini:

PKR MP questions why Bersatu delegation allowed to travel inter-state

CORONAVIRUS | A PKR MP today sounded the alarm on a letter that was purportedly issued by an aide of Home Minister Hamzah Zainuddin, exempting 12 people, many who are connected to the minister's party Bersatu, from movement restrictions.

Fahmi Fadzil, who is Lembah Pantai MP and PKR communications head, questioned why those individuals were exempted when retweeting a Twitter post by user @milosuam, who in turn posted of a copy of the purported letter by Sayed Amir Muzakkir Sayed Mohammad.

Sayed Amir Muzakkir is Hamzah's political secretary. The purported letter said the 12 were to be allowed to travel from Pahang to the Home Ministry in Putrajaya on official business.

"Is this letter real? If so, what is the official matter of the Home Ministry that involves all these individuals who are believed to be Bersatu leaders?

"(What is) it that is so important and has to be done now that they are given exemption from MCO to travel from Pahang to Putrajaya?," Fahmi said.

Attempts to contact Hamzah for comments on the veracity of the letter were unsuccessful.

Hamzah was appointed Bersatu secretary-general by party president Muhyiddin Yassin last month, amidst protest by party chairperson Dr Mahathir Mohamad, who said that the appointment was invalid.

The movement control order (MCO) put in place by Putrajaya had banned inter-state and international travel, except for medical emergencies, attending funerals and other matters to be decided at the discretion of the police.

Checks by Malaysiakini revealed at least eight of them [on list] are heads of Bersatu divisions in Pahang while Najwah Halimah is one of Bersatu's supreme council members.

When contacted, Marzuki Yahaya, the other Bersatu secretary-general recognised by Mahathir's faction, confirmed that all the names in the list were Bersatu members.

When asked if the 12 were Home Ministry staff, Marzuki replied in the negative.

  1. The Saintologists at MOH really have no choice if they want to win this war.

One wrong decision, like stopping the MCO too early, and the virus will swamp us all.

To control this virus the MOH must recommend that the MCO be extended, even tightened to the end of April, but that makes little sense because it will be in the middle of Ramadan. If the MCO was not extended then people will Balik Kampung....disaster.

At the end of April MCO has to be extended again to the end of Ramadan, which will then be Hari Raya...will the Open Houses then be safe? Or will MCO have to be extend again...?

The PN government is facing some VERY PAINFUL and UNPOPULAR decisions, who will win I wonder, the Saintologists or the race and religion based politicians?

I am sorry, but there's no role for Wee KHAT Siong to play, ha ha ha.

  3. One of the first things the government must do after this virus threat is over......

Worship the new God....Scientology, STEM, doctors, nurses, paramedics, pharmacists, toxicologists, PhDs, scientists, IT specialists, engineers who can build ventilators out of matchsticks, straws and balloons......etc

No more quota nonsense please. We need meritocracy. That produced our hero today, the DG of MOH.

We need our top students to be trained in STEM in top institutions, locally or overseas, on full scholarship if necessary. No more race quotas, no more scrimping and saving.

We don't want any more mediocre graduates, one of whom is now our Menteri Air Suam.

  5. Frankly, a large part of the world, the "Progressive" mob equates
    Meritocracy = Racism
The concept that society progresses best by providing as best a level playing field as possible , then the best wins, is an anathema to many.

      ???!!

ONLY apply to those with strong inferiority complex lah.

All human being exhibit merit ability to various degrees, governing by their surrounding vectors (wakakakaka… virus AGAIN!)

Many can stand out from adversity not of their making - nothing to do with race!

But, some of those surrounding vectors, like religiosity, cultural stubbornness & most of all meme-ed superiority growing out from political mollycoddled favouritism DO have links with racism!

Prosperity bootstrapping must be done within the race/grouping has now been casted in stone!

      Look no further lah.
