Mahathir's mouthpiece stirring 'sai'

Malaysiakini:

New special envoy lashes out at ex-PM's media advisor

Special envoy to China Tiong King Sing said veteran journalist A Kadir Jasin's motives for querying the government's response to recent incursions by Chinese vessels should be questioned.

"Foreign vessels have been suspected of violating our territorial waters from time to time, both during the BN and Pakatan Harapan tenures (as the federal government).

"Kadir's decision to choose this time specifically to question this government's response to these incursions makes one doubt his motives," he said in a statement today.

Tiong (above) was referring to Kadir's post on his Facebook page which suggested that the incursions happened right after Tiong's appointment.

Kadir's claim was, however, inaccurate as Tiong was appointed on April 20 while the alleged incursion was reported by Reuters on April 18.

"This is his (Tiong's) job. Resolve this complicated issue with China. Don't just be happy about your position or reward," wrote Kadir (photo), who was former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad's media advisor.

Tiong said the issue has to be handled by Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin and the Foreign Affairs Ministry and that they should be given space.

"Rest assured, the government continues to seek peaceful ways to issues with an international dimension, with a view toward creating mutual benefit and win-win results for a successful resolution," he added.

Tiong, who is the Bintulu MP, said public attention should instead be focussed on domestic efforts to handle the Covid-19 outbreak.

According to Reuters, Chinese government-owned research vessel Haiyang Dizhi 8, flanked by 10 other Chinese vessels, was spotted 324km off the Malaysian coast, within Malaysia's exclusive economic zone.

Petronas-owned survey vessel West Cappella and two US warships were in the vicinity at the time.

Although the US chided China over its "bullying behaviour" displayed during the incident, Foreign Minister Hishammuddin Hussein has chosen a more diplomatic approach.

Hishammuddin assured that "open and continuous" communications were taking place with all relevant parties, including the US and China.

Hishamuddin confirms reaching out to Chinese officials to track Jho Low

KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 22): Former defence minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein confirmed today that he is reaching out to "friends from the past" among Chinese officials to track down the alleged 1MDB fiasco mastermind, businessman Low Taek Jho or Jho Low.

"We want justice and closure [on the 1MDB investigations], and if it's true that he is in China, I will use the networking that I have to [try to] ensure he comes back and be served justice.....

"But I have enough contacts, friends, from the past, in the leadership," he said.

....I will need to speak with the Chinese leadership. And if the Chinese leadership is withholding him, I want to know why," he added.

  3. Minister Kong Kali Kong Tiong and Jellyfish Minister Wee KHAT Siong go back a long way as reported by Financetwitter a few days ago, which KT gingerly sidestepped because it tied Tiong to Wee KHAT Siong.

However today KT goes back to retweeting Financetwitter because this article ties Tiong to his favourite target Toonsie...

So sneaky but so amateurish of KT. No shame.

By the way the PKFZ scandal was under MCA's watch due to the long line of Transport Ministers like Lee San Choon, Chong Hon Nyan, Ling Liong Sik, Chan Kong Choy, Ong Tee Kiat, Kong Cho Ha, Liow Tiong Lai.

And when the PKFZ scandal blew up in 2008-2009 it was Jibby who was PM but what did he do?

    NOTHING.

The investigation went nowhere, the case remains hanging, no big shark was caught or found guilty except a minor scapegoat and the money (12 billion and counting) was never recovered.

Will KT also claim "no expert knowledge of PKFZ to comment" just like he claims for 1MDB? Ha ha ha....so convenient. KT only claims expert knowledge and has elephant memory for scandals from 30-40 years ago, and only if Toonsie was involved.

    QUOTE from Financetwitter
While the name “Tiong King Sing” might sound unfamiliar, he was the big boss of Kuala Dimensi Sdn Bhd, the turnkey contractor of the PKFZ (Port Klang Free Zone) project. Yes, Tiong King Sing was the same man popularly known within the circle of MCA as the “twin brother” of Wee Ka Siong (current MCA president, whose 47% in Hijau Sekitar Sdn Bhd was a sub-contractor of PKFZ).

PKFZ Scandal - How Cost SkyRocket To RM12 Billion

Mr. Tiong, also known as the Mafia Bintulu, became a billionaire when he sold his Kuala Dimensi’s 1,000 acres (4.0 km2) of Pulau Indah land to Port Klang Authority for a cool RM1.8 billion, the same land he had bought for only RM95 million, thanks to his connection with Mr. Wee. The PKFZ soon exploded into a RM12 billion scandal due to cost overruns and financial irregularities.

The PKFZ scandal was so explosive and toxic back in 2008-09 that even the police during the era of corrupt Barisan Nasional regime had to freeze luxury cars, lands, a Gulfstream IV jet aircraft and a Learjet 60 aircraft belonging to Mr. Tiong under the Anti-Money Laundering Act. Of course, Tiong King Sing didn’t go to jail, let alone Wee Ka Siong.

Yet, the simple fact that PM Muhyiddin had to “kowtow” to a corrupt mafia boss like Tiong speaks volumes about what a weak leader he is. The racist “Malay first” Muhyiddin is not only being bullied by a rich mafia boss, but is also constantly pushed around like a prostitute by racist, extremist and corrupt politicians of the same ethnicity – UMNO and PAS Malays.
