When the dictatorial Uzbek government slaughtered hundreds of its own citizens, the US State Department urged ‘restraint’ on both sides and request its ally President Islam Karimov, who ordered the massacre, to allow the International Red Cross in to assess the situation and provide the US government with ‘facts’ (as if the IRC serves the US?), but sang a different tune during its last assault in Fallujah, Iraq, where it refused the Red Cross access totally.
Oh! Did I mention that the US military did NOT exercise any ‘restraint’ in the Iraqi town?
Read this Reuter report on the US double standards.
