Earlier, Tras ADUN Chow Yu Hui lodged a court challenge against Pahang's directive that all sign boards carry Jawi script which must be equal in size to other language scripts with effect from 01 January 2020. Non-compliance carries a fine and/or possible loss of business licences for subsequent violations.
Chow said the directive doesn't make sense for places whose clients can't read Jawi, eg. bah-kut-teh shops.
But today two young DAP leaders eff-ed his biadab-ness, saying his legal challenge was unnecessary. DAP Youth Boss Howard Lee Chuan How and rising political star Marina Ibrahim eff-ed him kaukau. Marina's tweet was to the point, to wit: "Can shut up?"
This is exactly what Malaysiakini columnist Commander (rtd) S Thayaparan called the DAP leadership not having the nerve to ever "spook the Malays". That doctrine has become worse since May 2018, wakakaka.
It's true nothing effs up socialism and reformasi like a taste of ruling power.
Careful KT, don't Spook the Agong.....you may get censored again, or worse...ha ha ha...

State Local Government and Housing Committee chairperson Abd Rahim Muda said the one year period given was adequate for all quarters concerned to take appropriate steps to put up signage in Jawi....
...Rahim announced that the use of the Jawi script was also in line with the order of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, who is also the Sultan of Pahang, for the writing to be empowered in the state.

ReplyDeleteMarina Mahathir is not part of DAP ler...not even part of any political party.
Howard Lee is right.
There are far more important and urgent issues for Malaysians to fight than Jawi signboards.
Especially court challenges, which are expensive and long drawn.
Marina Mahathir ???
Deletein tis case, i support to continue spooking the malay.
