Anatomy of an American Bully

NST - U.S. vows to punish I.C.C.:

John Bolton
White House National Security Adviser

Bolton is an anti-Muslim extremist and conspiracy theorist who fervently supported Trump’s unlawful “ban” on Muslim immigration, and he was a longtime aide to the late Senator Jesse Helms, an unapologetic North Carolina “white nationalist.”

Beyond ideology and prejudice, however, Bolton and Trump appear much alike in their ugly, harshly overbearing style. When George W. Bush named him as U.S. ambassador to the United Nations — a nomination twice rejected by the Senate

Like Trump, Bolton is a tough-talking draft-dodger. While Trump cited “bone spurs” in one of his feet as a reason to avoid the Vietnam draft, Bolton — a Goldwater conservative — dodged service in the war he vocally endorsed by joining the Maryland National Guard.

“I confess I had no desire to die in a Southeast Asian rice paddy,” he said in 1995. “I considered the war in Vietnam already lost.”

Now this pair of chickenhawks may well send other young men and women to their deaths in war.
- The national Memo

Chickenhawk (chicken hawk or chicken-hawk) is a political term used in the United States to describe a person who strongly supports war or other military action (i.e., a war hawk), yet who actively avoids or avoided military service when of age

WASHINGTON, DC: The United States threatened on Monday to arrest and sanction judges and other officials of the International Criminal Court if it moves to charge any American who served in Afghanistan with war crimes.

White House National Security Adviser John Bolton called the Hague-based rights body “unaccountable” and “outright dangerous” to the US, Israel and other allies, and said any probe of US service members would be “an utterly unfounded, unjustifiable investigation”.

“If the court comes after us, Israel or other US allies, we will not sit quietly,” Bolton said.

He said the US was prepared to slap financial sanctions and criminal charges on officials of the court if they proceed against any Americans.

“We will ban its judges and prosecutors from entering the US. We will sanction their funds in the US financial system, and we will prosecute them in the US criminal system,” Bolton said.

“We will do the same for any company or state that assists an ICC investigation of Americans.”

Bolton made the comments to the Federalist Society, a powerful association of legal conservatives.

Bolton pointed to an ICC prosecutor’s request in November last year to open an investigation into alleged war crimes committed by the US military and intelligence officials in Afghanistan. Neither Afghanistan nor any government party to the ICC’s Rome Statute has requested an investigation, Bolton said.

He also cited a recent move by Palestinian leaders to have Israeli officials prosecuted at the ICC for human rights violations.

“We will not cooperate with the ICC. We will provide no assistance to the ICC. We certainly will not join the ICC. We will let the ICC die on its own,” he said.

I didn't say the F-word; I said Tiu

In The Hague, the ICC said yesterday it would “continue to do its work undeterred”.

The Hague-based court said in it was an independent and impartial institution with the backing of 123 countries.

“The ICC, as a court of law, will continue to do its work undeterred, in accordance with those principles and the overarching idea of the rule of law,” it said.

ICC prosecutor Fatou Bensouda said last year there was a “reasonable basis to believe” war crimes and crimes against humanity were committed in Afghanistan and that all sides in the conflict would be examined, including members of the US armed forces and Central Intelligence Agency. — AGENCIES

    Basically he's saying I've got 10 Carrier Battle Groups and 5,000 + F-15s and F-16s, so F* You.....

BTW, China said F* You to the UNCLOSS arbitration award to the Philippines, and nobody called them a bully.

  3. The ICC has totally failed to prosecute the massive and horrendous War Crimes in Syria, because of East Bloc countries and 3rd World Countries obstruction.

    Impartial institution ? Hardly.

    1. thus far ICC has trialed African and Arab leaders so why not Israeli and US war criminals?

    2. 15 years, ICC had spent over US$1.0 billion; only 4 convictions and all from Africa.

  4. I don't know about the after-world but in this one the cost of maintaining a Mercedes car is much more than say a Toyota or Honda. Of course Proton or Perodua cheapest lah. So what this Deputy MB says is
reminiscent of secular politicians from other parties. No different. Don't bluff or pretend.

    QUOTE
Kelantan Deputy Menteri Besar Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah has defended the purchase of a Mercedes-Benz to be used by the state administration's top officials as a need, not a luxury. Amar said that the cost of maintaining the vehicle is lower than that of other makes. "We bought this (Mercedes-Benz), as we need it, since our existing cars have gotten old. "Going by the rules, the vehicles can be changed after five years, but we have cars that are 10 to 12 years old," he was quoted as saying in Utusan Malaysia Online. According to Amar, the state government has thus far purchased only one Mercedes-Benz for use of the state secretary, Nazran Muhammad, and added that the state buying luxury cars was not "something new." "There is no issue in buying a new Mercedes, because, during the time of the late Tok Guru (Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat), we already bought such cars. "We also buy according to our affordability, we don't simply change all (the vehicles). So far only one (bought). In fact, the maintenance is cheaper than that of a Honda or Toyota," he claimed. Yesterday, Kelantan Pakatan Harapan chairperson Husam Musa revealed the purchase of the Mercedes-Benz by the PAS-led state government. According to him, the purchase was made this year, and this raised questions, given the state's poor state of being.

  5. Actually Najib DIDN'T know that before he implemented GST, there was 6% SST charged by restaurants. That is because when in power he never had to pay any bills. All his macai paid for everything. Now as an ordinary citizen all his macais have disappeared therefore he has to scrutinize all his bills.

Similarly he will claim he never knew that Rosmah had to declare and pay duties for importing jewellery and Birkin handbags. Or declare to LHDN the billions of ringgit in his personal bank accounts. No idea. Nobody told him.

    QUOTE
Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng has called on former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak to cease "pretending" that he was unaware that many food and drinks in restaurants now incur a six percent tax (SST) under the sales and service tax.

"Former finance minister Najib pretends he does not know that six percent service tax is charged under the SST, just like the goods and services tax (GST).

"He complains that he had to pay six percent tax for drinks and food at restaurants and coffee shops, even though he isn't a manufacturer.

"Najib should cease pretending he does not know this, as he was finance minister since 2008, before GST was implemented on April 1, 2015, when six percent SST was charged as service tax for coffee shops and restaurants," Lim said in a statement today.

    1. SST doesn't appear on your bill - only GST does because in the latter case, the tax (GST) is levied on the consumer. Not so with SST which is supposedly levied at the very beginning of the process

    2. SST definitely appears as a line item in a bill for services such as a restaurant bill or Telco post-paid bill.
If it is not there means no SST.

      Aussie blogger....pfft...

  6. Well, for starters,Donald Trump and John Bolton have been sucking each other's tiny pricks for the last several months. In the near future, when Trump is kicked out of the White House,he will be indicted and convicted by the New York State AG's office for money laundering and campaign finance violations.

In the next few months,Trump's three older children and son in law will be indicted by the NY AG and Manhattan DA's office. They will be sent to prison and Trump SR will join them at a later date.Donald Trump will definitely be raped by inmates when he joins his off springs in prison.Good riddance to bad rotten garbage.

Serena Williams is a spoilt bad apple and sore loser.
