Pribumi exploiting 'scared cows' like UMNO

Some ministers feel they do NOT have to conform to their Pakatan manifesto promises which were made:

(a) i.a.w Mahathir, only because they did NOT expect to win majority rule,

(b) i.a.w Mahathir, the manifesto is not the Bible and is not ironclad in its pre-election promises (meaning they can be broken),

(c) just to deceive the goofy gullible guppies.

One of those bullshit promises was to ensure higher academic institutions stay independent of political influence.

But with the Education Minister Maszlee becoming IIUM president, the ultra-strong political influence in IIUM can no longer be denied, so what do his advisers tell us?

IIUM is an international university and is thus not bound by Malaysian political promises. But how do you reckon Maszlee became the university's president if he was NOT the Education Minister of Malaysia? Don't tell me it has been his handsome look? Wakakaka.

A promise is what it is, a declaration or assurance that one will do something or that a particular thing will happen. Are they saying Maszlee being a Muslim is not bound by silly things like manifesto promises, which as Mahathir informed us with all his wisdom, a manifesto is NOT a bible, meaning it can be fCk-ed kaukau as and when necessary.

Then they say there can be exceptions - why should Maszlee be that exception? Don't tell me again it has been his handsome look? Wakakaka again.

Now we read in MM Online that (from the words of Wan Saiful, one of Maszlee's advisers) that the Pahang Sultan appointed Maszlee as IIUM president, extracts as follows:

Wan Saiful, who is Maszlee’s special adviser in the ministry, told The Star that the Ruler made his choice as the constitutional head of the university.

“This shows the Sultan’s wisdom in making his choice, picking someone who knows the university inside out over and above everything else,” the Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) politician was quoted as saying
.

Wan Saiful's utterance smells of the stink one usually associates with UMNO's intimidation to others to bloody shut up by using, to wit, the 'sacred cows' of religion, royalty and race.

The term 'sacred cow' means an idea, custom, or institution held to be above criticismThe term originated from British Colonial India where in that country the cow was (still is) deemed as a sacred and holy entity.

ancient Israelis praying to the sacred Golden Calf
while Moses went hiking up a mountain to chitchat with YHWH

in Australia, the sacred cows are armed forces veterans from WWI & II, and farmers (more so during a drought)

Yes sir, agama, raja dan bangsa are certainly 'sacred' in the Malay peninsula, and in the growing angry reaction to Maszlee making another Pakatan capatiWan Saiful has had to resort to that to quell the outrage and teflonise his Towkay's position as the President of IIUM.

And Wan Saiful did it with a flourish by adding (just to make all protesters STFU) “This shows the Sultan’s wisdom in making his choice."

Now, who the fCk dares argue HRH Pahang has not been wise in helping Maszlee cover up a capati?

  1. Appointed by HRH Sultan Pahang. No salary some more appointed as President of IIUM. It's just a ceremonial post.

Kaytee asking Minister of Education to turn it down?

Kaytee is committing Les Majeste! Asking Minister to follow him?

How does Kaytee knows there will be political influence with this appointment and thus is against PH promises of no political influence in the higher education institutions?

Maybe, based on past BN politicians appointed to such post?

It all depends on the integrity of the politician holding such posts, isn't it?

When integrity is not part of the BN culture, posts like Ministers or Deputy Ministers of Education will be even worsts, wouldn't it? And that includes all the posts of Vice Cancellors, Professors, Head of Faculties and Departments, Student Councils etc.

As of now, the first to be rid off are those UMNO supported overseas and local student clubs in institutions of higher learnings housed in Embassies and local institutions.

  2. Even if he were appointed by HRH Sultan of Pahang, Maszlee can choose to decline in the name of impartiality and non-interference, but he didn't!

And Sultan of Pahang isn't known to do things unless it benefits himself or his benefits were threatened. I suspect its the latter in this case. The HRHs now has to kow-tow to Residents again after so long. New Malaysia is just rebranded Neo-Colonised Malaysia!

    3. Amongst all the foreign powers that have interest in us, China has proven to be the most benevolent and ironically the most hands-off; this unlike those colonised by UK (our ex-masters), USA (who have an interest to regime change us), Japan (who Mahathir failed to convince). If given these choices, I would most definitely prefer siding with China.

  3. Another sacred cow, at least in Malaysia, is the law against gay sex.

Now India declares same sex intercourse as legal but Malaysia moves in the opposite direction by caning two lesbians in public.

Theresa May, British PM has also apologised to former colonies for leaving behind this colonial era law which discriminates against gay people.

    QUOTE
New Delhi (CNN)India's Supreme Court has struck down a colonial-era law criminalizing consensual gay sex, overturning more than 150 years of anti-LGBT legislation.

The landmark decision Thursday by five Supreme Court judges to repeal the law and legalize gay sex between consenting adults comes as a major victory for India's LGBT activists and supporters after years of determined struggle. Section 377, an archaic law imposed during British rule that penalized intercourse "against the order of nature," had carried a maximum sentence of life imprisonment. For the lawyers representing more than a dozen gay and lesbian Indians who petitioned the court, the legal acceptance of same sex relations finally signals an end to the harassment and persecution of the LGBT community.

  4. Even in the land where cows are sacred, India, they have legitimised same sex intercourse between consenting adults. But in our sacred land pedophilia is legal and same sex offenders are publicly caned.
