Hanif Omar & his fairy tale beneath another fairy tale beneath other fairy tales

FMT - Ibrahim Ali tells ex-IGP why Malays are ‘timid’ (extracts):

KUALA LUMPUR: Malay rights group Perkasa today questioned former police chief Hanif Omar over a suggestion that the community had become timid in defending their rights.

Perkasa president Ibrahim Ali said the group’s existence as a champion of Malay rights was proof that Hanif was wrong.

“So when I read Hanif’s statement, I began to question myself. Am I a coward? This is why I am disappointed,” he told reporters today.

Yesterday, Hanif, who was the inspector-general of police from 1974 to 1994, said Malays were afraid to defend their rights.

He cited as example the recent controversy sparked by Lim Guan Eng over the use of Mandarin in statements by the Ministry of Finance, saying there should have been a stronger reaction.

actually I am not Hanif Omar - my real name is
Hans Christian Andersen

Ibrahim said Malay never questioned the rights of non-Malays because they were raised to respect other communities.

“You don’t see Malays questioning how non-Muslims practise their faith. In fact, when Hindus celebrate Thaipusam, we respect them and even stop by the roadside to see the celebration”
.

Not entirely true when we remember Dr Asri, mufti of Perlis, who has had a hate-hate relationship with Hindus and their religion.

Dr Asri with his anti-Hinduism poem

In mid-April this year, less than a month prior to GE14, Asri said Hindraf was a threat to the nation and religion (meaning the Islamic religion), and their candidates should be rejected.

He posted in his FB: “Whichever party makes them a candidate, that party is a threat to the peace that the country has had all this long.”

Asri has been on a warpath with Hindraf over the Indian rights group’s opposition to controversial preacher mamak Zakir Naik.

But long before GE14, in February 2017, Asri showed his dislike for Thaipusam.

The Mufti said he didn't like the breaking of coconuts along Lord Muruga's procession from Koil Vedu, Little India in Georgetown to the Nattukottai Chettiar Temple in the Waterfall (Botanical Garden) area.

He had warned Ah Jib Gor(then still PM): Perdana Menteri boleh pergi untuk meraikan acara keagamaan kaum lain tetapi jangan sampai menyertai program yang diadakan sehingga dilihat menjadi sebahagian daripada mereka.

Wait, in fact, as far back as 2013, he said of such Thaipusam processions:

in Penang of course
notice the mainly Chinese crowd among the devotees?they have been the most ardent devotees of Lord Muruga

"..... roads are not places for religious processions such as carrying idols and smashing of coconuts to the point of inconveniencing road users or messing up a public space, such as being carried out by followers of certain religions. If you want to streamline (the regulations), then do it for all."

Then, Asri was responding to Hindus' complaints about the Islamic ritual of slaughtering cows at a school in Selangor during Eid al-Adha that year (2013). He stated while ... :

'... he agrees that schools are not appropriate venues for the Eid al-Adha sacrifice ritual involving open slaughter of cows, other religious acts in public places should also be similarly regulated.'

There is more on Dr Asri, Dr Ramasamy (DCM II Penang), Dr Zakir Naik and Hinduism but the above should suffice until we hear from one of them again, wakakaka.

Dr Ramasamy - DCM II Penang

The current issue is also not about Ibrahim Ali who Penangites would describe as "cheah kay, oowa kay" (bila makan ayam, dia dekat ayam or in English, opportunist). Let's leave him to his carma (cari makan).

The issue is about the most recent racist batu-api behaviour of Hanif Omar, former IGP who served as the police top honcho during 3 PMs' time, from Tun Razak to Hussein Onn to Mahathir's 4th Reich (1974 - 1994 which was an unusually long period for an IGP).

Having retired for 24 years, though emerging from time to time to speak on Mahathir's behalf (obviously all good things and accepting the responsibility-blame for Ops Lalang & you know why), he has now come out with fCk-ing fairy tales of the worst order, for example:

(a) accusing Lim Kit Siang preposterously of attempting to split Malaysia like a ripe cempedak into two halves, a Malay half on the peninsula East Coats and a seceded Chinese half on the West Coast,

Related posts:

(i) A ketuanan fairy tale by Hanif Omar (former IGP).

(ii) Hans Christian Andersen a.k.a Hanif Omar - a true Malaysian fairy tale.

(b) and now, cucuk-ing the Malays by saying they were afraid to defend their rights over the recent controversy sparked by Lim Guan Eng when Lil' Boy Blue used Mandarin in statements by the Ministry of Finance - Hanif Omar lamented the lack of stronger reaction from Malays.

But what worries me far more than his overtly racist fairy tales is that I know he was/is not a racist, hadn't acted that way while as IGP, and wouldn't have acted racially as he has done now on his own UNLESS he was told/instructed to do so.

I also suspect that related to his ketuanan racist fibs (lies) is the present struggle for Malay support amongst UMNO, PAS, Pribumi and PKR (lil' Amanah tagging along only).

Hanif Omar's agitating racist lies seem to be designed to drive the Malays towards the strongest (or seen as strongest) right-wing ketuanan pribumi political bloc in order for Malays to be "protected" by a pribumi strongman from the rapacious grasp of the (projected, propaganda-ed and portrayed) greedy corrupt arrogant Chinamen who smoke opium, eat pigs, worship idols (maybe even including Chin Peng) and kamcheng with their kind from China.

Because he has all along been Mahathir's man, I suspect, admittedly a suspicion only, that he might have been acting on orders from Pribumi.

Why not umno? PAS? Katak's Parti Bumiputera Perkasa Malaysia (Putra)?

FYI, hanif is not even a Pribumi member le. So, why must he acting on orders from Pribumi?

  2. Am surprised at Ibrahim Ali timid response unless you can see thru his hypocritical theatrics. He is just waiting to get his new party PUTRA registered before lashing out his vitriol again at the bogeyman Malaysian Chinese and DAP. That has been his modus operandi for decades to remain relevant in Malaysian politics.

As for the ex-IGP (Haniff) being a nice guy as painted by Kaytee, does he ever wonder why he was never eligible to be in the group of G20 eminent persons? Does he not know the ex-IGP is still an UMNO diehard member and trying to make himself relevant after the fall of BN? Is it because of his current posts and position in Genting given as a BN reward is now being threatened by a new PH Govt?

Can UMNO, PAS, Ibrahim Ali, all the Muftis etc all please explain why making so much noise about Mukhris being made a director of a beer company in the Phillipines but dead quiet about a Moslem ex-IGP being a director of a gambling giant Genting in Malaysia?

As regards religious practises in public, why are the Muftis and religious bigots so against the rights of others as enshrined in the Constitution which allows for freedom of religion to practise as they see fit? Why must they engage in politicing how other religions practise their faiths?

    Isn't it clear, they are threats to a multi-racial, multi-religious, multi-cultural Malaysia?

When religion is being politised like race, there can be no winners in the long run. Just look at past history of how human greed using race and religion has caused so much suffering to mankind throughout those countries and the whole world. The only winners are those who gained power and richness at the expense of countless victims of their games.

Is that the future Malaysians want?
