Circus back in town

Poor Dr Wan Azizah, I thought when I read the Malay Mail Online's In Kajang, rumblings of discontent as Dr Wan Azizah targets Permatang Pauh.

Dari Kajang ke Putrajaya?

Can someone please tell us how that's going to happen?

No, not Dr Wan Azizah, Azmin Ali or Anwar, but Tony Pua please explain.

The news report has not been favourable to her as an ADUN, stating:

KAJANG, April 29 — Voters in Permatang Pauh wondering if Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail can serve two constituencies simultaneously need only take a look at Kajang, where locals are asking if she is able to serve even one.

Grouses by constituents met here by Malay Mail Online suggest that there is credibility to claims that the PKR president would be stretched to cater to the interests of both the Selangor state and Penang federal constituency satisfactorily.

According to some, her performance in Kajang alone was already wanting even without the possible distraction of being MP in a state hundreds of kilometres north.

“She is a sleeping YB. Never comes here, unlike Cikgu Lee,” said Koh Hong Toong, referring to former PKR lawmaker Lee Kim Sin who won in Election 2008 but was dropped for the unknown Lee Chin Cheh in Election 2013.

feel sorry for her because she had/has never wanted to be ADUN for Kajang, having been unfortunately thrust into that role by the PKR outrageous Kajang Satay fiasco, which incidentally was supported by some DAP Chicken Little.

So, if she didn't do much for the people in Kajang or for that matter in Permatang Pauh when she was MP, that's only because she has merely filled in for her absent husband as a representative but not to the extent of meeting the accompanying responsibilities of one.

It's known she was never enthusiastic about being an MP, only taking up the federal constituency of Permatang Pauh for her husband who was jailed after being convicted of Sodomy 1. Her hubby, even when freed by AAB, was far more interested in BIGGER stuff, such as returning to the Great Mothership rather than seriously serving as a PKR MP.

Dr Wan Azizah is a good Muslim, only wanting to fulfill her wifely and motherly duties. She really isn't interested in being an ADUN or MP. And she only became one of each because of her wifely duties.

Indeed, mid last year I wrote The super sub, in which I penned:

But we have to acknowledge that Dr Wan Azizah is Pakatan's super sub, the term being well-known in soccer.

It refers to (Wikipedia): "Players who are noted for scoring important goals when coming off the bench or frequently making appearances as a substitute."

Dr Wan Azizah belongs to the later group, those frequently making appearances as a substitute rather than who are noted for scoring important goals when coming off the bench.

She substituted for her husband as (his ousted UMNO) faction leader after he was jailed following conviction for sodomy; she also took his position as MP for Permatang Pauh; and now she replaces him as candidate for the recent Kajang by-election, the central figure of the so-called 'Kajang Move', ...

... and let's not deny or pretend not to know that was nothing more than a political manoeuvre to mainly satisfy PKR's internal leadership struggle. Thus she is expected to sub for Anwar as the next Selangor MB ...

Her heart is not in her job whether as ADUN or MP. But what is unacceptable has been the pathetic negligence of her party, PKR, in failing to support her in her ADUN duties. Why couldn't PKR ensure someone or more from the party administer her ADUN duties for her in Kajang?

Indeed there have been accusations that she was not even a good MP for Permatang Pauh which saw no or few developments. Again, we need to ask what had the PKR branch in PP been doing?

Why not put her daughter Nurul Nuha as an administrative-political manager in Kajang, serving on her behalf (as a de facto functioning substitute) for the people in that state constituency?

Now, that would have been good training for sweetie Nuha as a political intern to her mum (or a Pak Cik in PKR, say, like Tian Chua? wakakaka), instead of attempting to leap-frog the inexperienced sweetie into some far more prominent and trying position.

That seems to be the problem with the Anwar family, impatient for BIG issues but not interested in the more mundane but far more difficult nitty gritty duties.

If we were to excuse poor Dr Wan Azizah the known reluctant politician, to me it seems the Anwar family, is only interested in power play and manmanlai circus show, such as Nurul Izzah asking for her convicted father to vote in Permatang Pauh, rather than solid substantial street work for their constituencies.

Nurul Izzah certainly brought the Anwar Family's circus show into town when she proposed for her dad to vote. She shows she doesn't know the rules, but she certainly does have the manmanlai DNA.

Yes sir, protests, street rallies, brouhaha, circus show in town, all very manmanlai. But couldn't PKR at the very least stand someone other than a member of the Anwar family in Permatang Pauh? Why keep recycling an already known reluctant politician? It only shows PKR as a single issue party, one for the promotion of Anwar Ibrahim (or a member of his dynasty).

Unusual sex position

Once upon a time, years years ago, during the days of my late dad and his brothers (my several uncles), Penang bachelors and even some married men, Malays, Chinese, Indians, Eurasians and the odd lonely Mat Salleh's, would on most Saturday evenings go to the New World Amusement Park somewhere off Burmah Road (Swatow Lane?) to dance.

There in the dance hall, they purchased tickets to dance with the dozens of sweet hostesses (Malays, Chinese, Eurasians but very seldom Indians) who were waiting for them.

My uncles informed me that then there was no such dance as rock 'n roll, shake, twist, etc, which only came about after the mid 60's. In their days, the dances they enjoyed were joget, ramwong, foxtrot, waltz, rumba, quickstep, maybe even the crowd-synergized samba but strangely not cha-cha-cha.

ramwong danced to the popular Thai song
"ai larp u, ti nong chai noi ti nong chai ay"

(ai larp u = I love you, as murdered by Penang Chinese Hokkien, wakakaka)

(don't ask about the rest as they too must have been also murdered, mangled and mutilated)

I once tried the ramwong with my ex from Kelantan, forgetting that she was a traditional dancing enthusiast who was very much into Mak Yong, an almost 1000-year old dance-drama which had its roots in Pattani , Southern Thailand, and which came to northern Malaya more than 200 years ago. In Malaya's earlier years Mak Yong was very popular in the northern Malayan states like Kelantan and Kedah.

About 10 years ago (2005), the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) declared Mak Yong a "Masterpiece Of The Oral And Intangible Heritage Of Humanity".

The Mak Yong was undeniably one of northern Malaya's richest cultural heritage. But alas in 1991, the PAS state government in Kelantan banned the Mak Yong for un-Islamic elements as well as the female dancers having their heads and arms uncovered.

Anyway, back to kaytee and his Kelantan sweetie doing their ramwong, I dread to say that with sweetie's grace and melodious dexterity with her hands, wrists, fingers and nifty footsteps, our efforts on the floor looked like a trampling elephant dancing with a delicate gazelle, wakakaka. And don't ask who was the trampling elephant.

But according to my Uncs, far far more interesting than ramwong or joget were the western dances of foxtrot, waltz and rumba as demonstrated by the Malay dancers.

The Malay men (customers) would be dressed elegantly in Western style dress, long pants, shoes, with long sleeves (usually white) shirts complete with ties, known in the British Army dress code as 'planters'. The Chinese were usually dressed like proper Ah Beng's, meaning short sleeve shirts and no tie (yes, with shoes on, puhleeeze lah they were not so bloody chowkana, wakakaka) while the few Indians and Eurasians would be dressed somewhere between the styles of the Malays and Ah Beng's.

planters

While the Chinese, Indians and Eurasians and some orang putih would dance the Western dances (foxtrot, waltz, rumba etc) the way we do now, the Malays were in a class of their own.

Imagine a man or woman dancing a waltz by him or herself (alone, solo), one arm raised in a fashion to hold the imaginary partner's opposite hand, and the other (for men) to hold the imaginary lady by her waist while the sweeties would be resting the other arm or hand on the imaginary man's shoulder, and then while holding that 'solo' posture, moving in the way that waltz requires the dancer to move.

Put the two, man and woman, together BUT without being in physical contact, say, a foot apart, and let them dance while holding their respective 'solo' posture. And that was how the Malay men and their Malay partners (hostesses) danced the waltz, rumba, foxtrot in the dance hall, yes, without ever touching or holding their partners because they were observing their cultural-religious tradition of not coming into physical contact with the opposite sex (who were not their spouses).

It was like watching a pair of synchronized swimmers, physically separated from each other by a foot in between, in high coordinated motions, yet many of these dancers (obviously people who truly enjoyed dancing per se) were so outstandingly elegant in their no-physical-contact movements even though the men weren't able, as necessary in Western style dancing, to guide or control their partners' movements through subtle hand pressure made possible only by light physical contact.

They were probably using verbal guidance to sway their partners to and fro, turn and twirl around sweetly and waltz across the dance floor like clouds floating across the tops of hills.

It would not be incorrect to say that unique no-contact Western style dancing, found nowhere else in the world, became identified as quintessentially a Malay artistry or dance technique.

Thus, in those earlier Malayan days Malays enjoyed their joget, ramwong and Western foxtrot, rumba, waltz etc without neglecting the observance of their cultural-religious traditions, a wonderful pragmatic evolution in 'East meet West' accommodation and concordance.

Hah, that wonderful social gem of cultural 'accommodation' which alas for us today is so sadly missing.

Unfortunately I don't have a photograph to show you what my uncles described/demonstrated (wakakaka) to me, and I dare say that unique Malay dancing artistry is now extinct, totally. My post on this is probably a small footnote in the social history of the northern Malays.

Today it seems to me the Malays have in the majority discarded or abandoned their quintessentially tradisi Melayu to opt for an Arabic culture, as if we live in a mid latitude desert-type environment instead of a low latitude humid tropical country. Hmmm, is it necessary to observe and practice Islam only in an Arabic way?

So leaving aside the Mak Yong and Wayang Kulit, perhaps it's time to ask what has happened to such stuff as the lovely sarong kebaya?

Ironically, the kebaya originated in the royal courts of the Majapahit era when the Javanese nobility adopted Islam as their religion. The kebaya evolved to adapt the traditional Javanese women's sexy Kemban (torso wrap) into a modest dress more acceptable to the new religion of Islam. But today, the kebaya which as mentioned had ironically evolved to respect Islam might have become non-halal.

But don't worry lah, the Chinese Malaysian sweeties will maintain this gorgeous Malay dress tradition, perhaps in the way that Arabs had maintained the knowledge of science, mathematics and astronomy of Greece during Europe's Dark Ages, for Europeans to subsequently reclaim.

Anyway, to make us realize this seeming conversion by Malay Malaysians to all things Arab and Arabic, our very dear Perak Mufti informed us yesterday that Women must give husbands sex ‘even on camels’, as if our Malaysia has caravans of camels grazing thorny shrubs (lallang) in our desert-like neighbourhoods.

no wonder Sing wants our sand

if they take our camels they can enjoy sex too which may actually be good for them as Sing men are known to be kiasu in performance when it comes to sex

But seriously Tan Sri, can sex be enjoyed on the back of a camel? Why not first dismount from the creature?

MCA's sweet revenge at PKR, courtesy of Tian Chua

My previous post titled Tian Chua did a "MCA" has been about Tian Chua of PKR telling PAS that his party (PKR) does not oppose, thus accepts PAS' hudud, not unlike MCA and Gerakan accepting Dr M's 2001 declarations that 'Malaysia is an Islamic State' and less than a year later, 'Malaysia is not a moderate Islamic State but a fundamentalist Islamic State', known respectively as Dr M's 929 and 617 Declarations.

Tian Chua on behalf of PKR has now concurred with MCA and Gerakan that Malaysia is an Islamic State, for only an Islamic State would even consider hudud, ..... but wait ..... Tian Chua, not unlike Dr M in the latter's 617, wakakaka, has not just concurred with MCA-Gerakan but even went one step further than MCA-Gerakan ... in accepting PAS' hudud.

Just to remind ourselves what Tian Chua said 3 days ago: PKR does not oppose hudud as a concept and that the party respects the rights of those who want the Islamic penal code implemented.

Whether Tian Chua's non-opposition to hudud has been in mealy-mouthed principle or not is irrelevant. What is far more important is that he on behalf of PKR has not opposed hudud, another way of stating PKR has accepted PAS' hudud.

MCA and Gerakan, eat your hearts out - Dr M and you guys were only half measured in your support for the Islamic State concept, unlike "principled" PKR, wakakaka.

So we see Tian Chua and his "principled" PKR, unlike "polemic" DAP, has warmly accepted PAS' concept of hudud.

To me, it's a double opportunistic gambit by Tian Chua to secure PAS' support for PKR candidate in Permatang Pauh. Why double?

Well, one was to stab its supposed Pakatan ally DAP right in the latter's back to make PAS and itself, both of whom don't like DAP, happy and secondly, to voice PKR's acceptance of hudud to again make PAS wild with delirious delight. It's what Chinese would term Double Happiness, with love from PKR to PAS, wakakaka.

I love you and your hudud

hmmm, if you were more sincere, you would have made the Double Happiness symbol green

Oh, it's just that I'm "principled" and don't use delible ink

wakakaka

"Principled" PKR, wakakaka.

Dr Ramasamy (DAP) who is Penang DCM II, has been spot on when he described Tian Chua as opportunistic. TMI reported:

Ramasamy, however, took exception to Tian Chua’s remarks, saying they were uncalled for.

He said DAP's stand on hudud was the clearest and its long history of opposing the implementation of hudud was well known.

DAP had announced that it was cutting ties with PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang, after his insistence to press ahead a private member's bill on hudud in Parliament.

"We are not playing a populist game. Maybe Tian Chua doesn't know the meaning of the word.

"DAP's stand on hudud was clear before this. It is clear now and it will remain so in the future. DAP will never compromise on hudud," he said.

Ramasamy hit back at Tian Chua by saying that PKR did not have a firm stand on hudud.

"PKR believes in opportunism. It is neither here not there when it comes to hudud. Even (PKR de facto leader) Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim did not state a clear stand on the matter."

"I think Tian Chua should just keep his opinions to himself. We should all be focusing on the Permatang Pauh by-election to retain the seat. DAP is committed in supporting PKR's candidate," he said.

Today, unsurprising since 'too f* clever-by-half' Tian Chua handed MCA and Gerakan a sort of birthday present, the MCA President, our very dear Liow "My Beloved PM" Tiong Lie said: A vote for PKR is a vote for PAS’ hudud.

Of course Liow "My Beloved PM", wakakaka, was delivering his message to the 16,000 Chinese voters in Permatang Pauh.

Dearie dearie me, A vote for PKR is a vote for PAS’ hudud and none other than Tian Chua handed that sweet weapon to an already moribund MCA, and that's why Tian Chua has been 'too f* clever-by-half'.

Mateys, remember that the scare of PAS and its hudud-ization drive was what turned Chinese voters off in 1999, when they in an unprecedented decision, used their votes to kick their two champions, Lim Kit Siang and Karpal Singh, OUT of federal parliament for their naughty dalliance with PAS in that best-forgotten Barisan Alternatif loose coalition.

Yes sir, from time to time, whenever I see DAP so obsessed with wanting to be in Putrajaya that it had been willing to discard its socialist democratic principles to sleep with a hudud-bent PAS, I would remind DAP of that sad moment in Malaysian political history for the DAP when Lim KS and my Bhai, both then my heroes, were mercilessly kicked out by their usual supporters - see my post DAP - remember 1999.

Anyway, will Liow succeed in his warning to the 16,000 Chinese voters? Will the Chinese voters make any impact on the Permatang Pauh by-election?

Whatever, whichever, however, Tian Chua has provided MCA (and Gerakan) with a badly needed CPR, wakakaka.

On the basis of Tian Chua's opportunistic and (to DAP and non-Muslims) treacherous declaration of PKR not opposing, thus condoning, PAS in its hudud drive, I am sad to say this but Liow the "My Beloved PM" Tiong Lie, has been right, that A vote for PKR is a vote for PAS’ hudud.

Shukrun, thaaank youuu, sdr Tian Chua.

Isn't it just ironical that the MCA (and Gerakan) which had kuai kuai (obediently) supported Dr M's 929 and 617 Declarations, is now able to fire back with sweet revenge at PKR, which has now in similar kuai kuai fashion, bodek manja PAS in Tian Chua's 423 Declaration.

Mind, I do detect a wee difference between the kuai kuai-ness of MCA-Gerakan and that of PKR (via Tian Chua). MCA-Gerakan was really and truly kuai kuai (obedient) to Dr M, wakakaka, whereas in the immortal words of Dr Ramasamy, Tian Chua has been "opportunistic".

A synonym (same or almost same meaning) for "opportunistic" is "unprincipled", wakakaka. Yes, "unprincipled" as very very different from "principled".

Incidentally, an interesting side-note for you: "principled" in the dictionary means, among many descriptions, "ethical" and "moral", and thus its antonyms would be "unethical" and "immoral", two exact words which my late Bhai had described Anwar's 916, wakakaka again.

'moral flexibility' like this

Tian Chua did a "MCA"

FMT - PAS, DAP populist over hudud unlike principled PKR, Tian Chua says

KUALA LUMPUR, April 23 — Both PAS and the DAP are equally guilty of populism in the hudud issue by using religion and fear respectively in rallying their supporters, PKR vice-president Chua Tian Chang said today.

Chua said PKR, on the other hand, wants to help Muslims understand that there is an alternative to dealing with Quranic obligations over the Islamic penal code, and to persuade non-Muslims not to fear and attack those who genuinely believe that hudud is just and divinely inspired. [...]

He said PKR members are “democrats, but not populists”, as populists go on popular sentiment, not principles.

Chua also said PKR does not oppose hudud as a concept and that the party respects the rights of those who want the Islamic penal code implemented, but stressed that PKR believes hudud requires a more progressive interpretation than the one pushed by PAS.

Wakakaka, PKR principled while DAP and PAS populist? The bloody gall of that bloke.

A so-claimed principled PKR conjured up 916, to subvert the ballot box by enticing allegedly 30 BN MP. Real bloody democratic pariahs. As my Bhai said, the 916 scheme was unethical and immoral.

A principled PKR sent a frog hunting team headed by Tian Chua to Taiwan to chase after the alleged 30 potential BN frogs. This had been how he and his PKR colleagues served their constituencies.

And what about that stupid Kajang Satay?

Principled? Podah!

And really, it's a bit rich for Tian Chua, of all people, to accuse others of populism.

This has been a MP who was found guilty of biting a policeman. Very principled and civilized?

This has been a man who photoshop-ed a French dinner for three to serve a politically driven myth. Principled?

As for his party, PKR has been a party which as mentioned brought about the bullshit and totally unnecessary Kajang by-election and all sorts of polemical street demonstrations.

This has been a PKR which put on a drama queen show to moan Altantuyaa a la Cheng Beng, as if the poor murdered woman was their ancestor.

But I see in his pompous stab-DAP's-in-back statements as having two objectives, one desperate and one envy-driven, namely:

(a) to bodek and manja-sayang PAS by doing a 'MCA' a la 929 and 617 ...

* [read my Winds of Change (1) and Letter to Tun Dr Mahathir Mohammad to know what are 929 and 617]

... to wit, assuring PAS' members that PKR does not oppose hudud as a concept and respected the rights of PAS people who seek the implementation of Syariah law, so as to secure their backing for the PKR candidate in the coming Permatang Pauh's by-election, and

(b) to attack his chief rival, the DAP, which is currently overshadowing his Chinese section in PKR - he's scared of his section being relegated into a meaningless role, especially in a party now increasingly dominated by Azmin Ali and his inner cohorts.

For more about Tian Chua and his Heavenly Snake faction in PKR, read GE-13 - snakes galore.

No matter how we look at it, Tian Chua, like MCA and Gerakan did in 929 and 617, has effectively committed PKR to accepting the implementation of PAS' hudud, or at least committed his Chinese (heavenly snake) faction in PKR to accepting the Islamic code of punishment.

Idleness is evil

In TMI's Urban poverty, socio-economic disparity breeding intolerance in Taman Medan, say experts we are told by those experts that poverty and socio-economic divide have been the culprits contributing to the recent racial tension in Taman Medan.

Mateys, I came from a very poor family in a village where many of its sectors were suffering from the so-called poverty and economic divide. We (my family and neighbours) were so poor that I and other kids in my kampung used to wear hand down clothes, and sometimes ate only nasi kosong with a tablespoon of haram lard and tau-eu (soya sauce) - we considered ourselves the luckier ones.

But I don't recall we (the people in my village from those poor families) went about blaming the "others" or demand, as an example, churches dismantled their crosses.

The poorer members of my village worked hard being hawkers, pasar malam vendors, free lance labourers, unlicensed tradesmen (wakakaka, kaytee at a bloody young age used to make bricks under the tutelage of an expert brick-maker, deliver newspapers, jaga kereta wakakaka, and sell my mum's herbs such as daun kadok, pandan, limau perut, serai, ete at the Sunday market).

Look, when villagers were working their backs off to earn a living, they won't have the f* time to go around protesting or bullying other races.

I see the Taman Medan fracas as purely politico-religious driven and made worse in an already tinder-dry socio-politico-religious environment. Blaming Chinese traders for unfairly raising prices and such like racist bullshit sure as hell didn't help.

Paradise or Pakatan Lost!

Malaysiakini - Hadi dodges poser on who to vote for Pmtg Pauh reported:

PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang has refused to answer questions on who to vote for in the Permatang Pauh by-election at a public forum today.

I could have told you what was on his mind because it's f* clear as a full moon!

At the same time, Permatang Pauh's division's ulama affairs chief Badrul Abdul Rahman claimed that voting for candidates who oppose hudud is "haram" (forbidden in Islam) and a "sin".

UPDATE: Malaysiakini reported that PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang is in agreement with a Permatang Pauh PAS division official who said it was 'haram' to vote for a candidate that is against the implementation of hudud.

What next from PAS? A flood in Permatang Pauh if a candidate who is not for hudud is elected?

Meanwhile, according to the Malay Mail Online, Pak Haji Hadi Awang claimed PKR, DAP only rejecting hudud for fear of losing votes where he said "... opposition politicians who disagreed with the implementation of the Islamic penal code were prioritising success in elections over the safety of the country."

pick your choice of following:

(a) cakap ta'serupa bikin
(b) Melayu mudah lupa
(c) pandai chong

“Many in Pakatan Rakyat don’t agree with hudud for fear of losing voters

“The problem is, it’s not only about election but also about safety and security. We want our country to be safe, we’re not just fighting to be leaders”

I wonder what the Qatif girl in Saudi Arabia ...

she was a Shiite rape victim and was sentenced to be flogged, with the sentence increased when she appealed, with threats of further increases if she continued her appeal

her Sunni rapists received very mild sentences when the syariah-hudud penalty for rape was capital punishment

it had to be the secular West who had to step in to help her

... or Mukhtaran Bibi (Mai) in Pakistan ...

gang raped in Pakistan, a land of syariah-hudud and denied justice until, once again, the secular West stepped in and threatened Pakistan's rulers

 * for more about Qatif girl and Mukhtaran Bibi, read my 2014 post Doctors in Kelantan may need a 'hand' or two.

... would say about Pak Haji's claim about hudud providing safety and security for Malaysia.

I suspect the two brutalized sweeties would have said "Bollocks!"

As for national security, just look at the Middle East! Saudi is sponsoring and financing the ISIL who is screwing, killing and rampaging through the Levantine countries and Iraq. SNAFU in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Egypt, Sudan, Somalia and Libya are totally screwed. As for Iran ... whoa! And nearer at home, look at Southern Philippines.

Anyway, Uncle Lim KS better wake up to the realization that Pakatan has lost PAS (or PAS has abandoned Pakatan) and the coalition is now destroyed from within. It's Paradise Lost.

Must

C'mon Pak Zahid, you're a jawata

1. Home Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi must sack IGP Khalid Abu Bakar for the latter making a questionable assessment which absolves both the latter's brother Abdullah Abu Bakar and other protestors who had demanded a Taman Desa church remove its cross. It's a glaring shameless example of conflict of interests on the part of the IGP.

Sack the IGP, Minister!

C'mon Ah Jib Gor, you're a jawata too
& one backed by Queen Hippolyta

wakakaka

2. UMNO President must sack Dr Mahathir from the party for disloyal undermining of the party's reputation and leadership - wakakaka, I like to see this!

Sack the man, Prime Minister!

C'mon DAP, you're a jawata too

3. DAP in Peninsula must either expel PAS from Pakatan or leave Pakatan if PAS refuses to go.

Khalid Samad of PAS has already warned of the new PAS extremism.

DAP must separate from PAS - no f* 'if' or 'but'!

C'mon Baljit, you're a jawata too, a Khalsa warrior

Screw those whining whinging ball-less tok ampus in your party

4. Gerakan must nominate Baljit Singh as a parliamentary candidate in the next general election or awarded by-election or lose its multiracial credentials, becoming nothing more than a uni-ethnic (Chinese) political party.

Since Hsu Dar Ren (Darren Hsu) left Gerakan, Baljit has been the only Gerakan man who impresses me with his political sanity and non-brown-nosing sense.

C'mon YB Pak Wanandi Siang* (wakakaka), you're a jawata too
remember your DAP values!

* if you wanna know why I've named Wanandi Siang, read
Should Chinese Malaysians adopt indigenous surnames?

5. Lim Kit Siang must now, in the words of my late Bhai, Karpal Sing, bertaubat for allowing his once-admired statesman-like values to go manmanlai. I've been deeply disappointed with him and would like him to revert to his high principles.

Repent Uncle and return to 'Damascus'.

KT Kongsamkok welcomes you to read 'Poloma'

Tiger bit Lim Kit Siang

Thank goodness!

The spirit of my Bhai lives on!

... in his son Ramkarpal Singh Deo, the MP for Bukit Gelugor.

new Tiger of Jelutong

In a TMI news report titled Working with Dr M to remove PM will be a ‘disaster’, Pakatan told we read (extracts):

“The question of working with Dr Mahathir is an unimaginable disaster waiting to happen.

“There can be no doubt that Malaysia needs to be saved. While I agree that Najib ought to go, I cannot agree with the means by which Dr Mahathir proposes to do so,” Ramkarpal said in a statement here.

Asserting pressure on a democratically elected prime minister to step down cannot be democratic and it is high time that Pakatan Rakyat come together at this very critical time against Umno and the Barisan Nasional (BN),” the DAP MP added.

Ramkarpal said that working with Dr Mahathir would mean that PR would just be maintaining the status quo and allow “corruption to continue”.

“I am firmly of the view that saving Malaysia can only mean a new clean, accountable and transparent government."

Pakatan Rakyat must live up to its promise to Malaysians of being that alternative and democratically oust Najib and the BN through the ballot box,” Ramkarpal stressed.

Democratic process, through the ballot box - not bloody conniving 916 or dictatorial bullying.

Of late I have been uncomfortable with a few of the DAP politicians' behaviour.

Take for example YB Lim Kit Siang who I had respected almost as much as I respected and adored my Bhai.

He first disturbed me in April 2014 when he posted on his blog a news article MH370 flew inverted to site of acoustic signals, I was very upset because that unnecessary and totally sensationalizing macabre description of MH370 in its final moments would have only added to the miseries and sufferings of the families of those lost on MH370.

Indeed I was very very upset that Lim KS saw fit to post the naughty piece of sensationalizing and unworthy speculation on his blog. What was he trying to achieve if not further politicization of a terrible tragedy? I believe my concerns for DAP was not unfounded. I don't want my DAP to be that sort of political party.

But what troubled me most of all was when I wrote a comment at Lim KS's blog to refute the sensationalizing, it was not posted for days - I checked the time stamps of other comments to find they were made much much later than mine, which meant only one thing, my comment was withheld and would probably be moderated out.

Was this the DAP I respected and supported?

I additionally wrote an email to Lim KS' blog to clarify that my comment was purely technical and not political, and asked why it had not been posted. Following that, the moderator, whether YB Lim KS himself or just a blog administrator acting on his behalf, published my comment - see my post Long-ish moderation?

Why did it require me writing in an explanatory email before my comment was published? Was it because my comment would have moderated or ameliorated what had been a macabre and unworthy sensationalizing of MH370's final moments?

The next disappointment had been Lim KS's blind support for an air force major who as a 26-year service veteran could not adhere to Armed Forces Council Instructions about making unauthorized media statements to the press.

Unfortunately there has been a fostered incorrect belief that the major was vindictively punished for blowing the whistle on the very delible so-called indelible ink which the Election Commission had purchased for use at polling stations during the general elections.

Firstly we must be clear that there was/is a monumental difference between a military person making a police report on the useless ink and the same person making an unauthorized press statement about the same subject.

The former is an undeniable right of every citizen including a military person, but the latter is not permitted for a serving military officer unless authorized by the armed forces.

Three (3) military personnel on that occasion each made a police report, but only two were charged by the military. WHY?

Because only two made unauthorized statements to the press (the major and a flight sergeant) whereas the third person did not - She was the wife of the air force major, herself also a serving air force personnel.

Did Lim KS know what he was doing, lending blind support to a naught indisciplined officer who was obviously violating Armed forces Council Instructions and in the process (if not charged) making political mockery of military rules and regulations?

Did Lim KS want to encourage behaviour by our military officers to mirror and eventually grow into those who had illegally-unconstitutionally deposed a democratically elected PM of Thailand?

Depressed, I asked myself then, what Faustian pact is the DAP willing to take up just to get into Putrajaya?

Is there no bottomline for its once-vaunted principles, integrity and democratic observances?

And let's not even talk about DAP supporting PKR in the latter's nonsensical Kajang Satay Deformasi or in an earlier period, the notorious deformasi 916! What horrendous shame on the DAP!

Indeed it was the late Bhai who condemned 916 as immoral and unethical. Got that HY?

And I also hope the DAP won't be that shameful again as to beg for a deputy speaker's appointment in the Selangor DUN for supporting PKR in its recent MB tussle - just how the fuck would that extra appointment have help the rakyat? Yes TP, I cringed in great shame.

And that's why when I read Bhai Junior's admonition, indirectly but clearly against Lim KS for advocating working together with Dr Mahathir to unseat Najib, I sighed a sigh of relief that the spirit of Bhai is back with the DAP.

Just to remind you of what Ramkarpakl said:

“There can be no doubt that Malaysia needs to be saved. While I agree that Najib ought to go, I cannot agree with the means by which Dr Mahathir proposes to do so.”

Asserting pressure on a democratically elected prime minister to step down cannot be democratic and it is high time that Pakatan Rakyat come together at this very critical time against Umno and the Barisan Nasional (BN).”.

“I am firmly of the view that saving Malaysia can only mean a new clean, accountable and transparent government. Pakatan Rakyat must live up to its promise to Malaysians of being that alternative and democratically oust Najib and the BN through the ballot box.”

Amen! and have you got that Uncle Lim?
