London Explosions - 45 reported dead, 1000 injured

Some clarity has slowly emerged from the initial confusion. The 6 + 1 explosions (+ 1 denotes the bus explosion) has been reduced to 3 + 1. The confusion occurred because when the explosions occurred between 2 stations, both stations were reported as suffering from the blasts. That also explains why the Police mentioned that most casualties or fatalities have been confined to 4 places.

The 4 explosions were near (a) Edgeware Station, (b) between King's Cross & Russell Square Stations, (c) between Aldgate and Liverpool Stations, and (d) the bus at Tavistock Square.

However, some TV Channels are still referring to 5 explosions.

The casualties are (as reported by Skyflash News and ITN):

(1) Fatalities - 45 (this approximates the earlier 50 estimated)

(2) Injured 1,000, with 150 seriously injured

(3) 20 of the fatalities have been at King's Cross (as clarified above, actually between KC and RS)
