Gaddafi: "United States would be "destroyed from inside by the Zionist lobby"

He locked the door of the room and put the key in his pocket. Then the interview began.
On 3 August 1986, the Pittsburgh Press ran an interview with Muammar Gaddafi conducted at midnight inside his Tripoli compound, four months after US jets bombed Libya. The reporter was Marie Colvin. Gaddafi locked the door behind him and pocketed the key.
He arrived in a red silk shirt and a gold cape. He called Ronald Reagan mad, said he was no terrorist crouching in a trench with a grenade, and claimed most Americans could not find Africa on a map. He also predicted the United States would be "destroyed from inside by the Zionist lobby" — a version of a long-standing antisemitic conspiracy theory, and one still shared online today. Colvin became one of her generation's best-known war reporters. She was killed in Syria in 2012.

  1. Don’t Fly Russian planes.

๐Ÿ”ฅ 1. Russia flies on machines that are no longer airworthy
    • 95% of passenger traffic takes place with Boeing and Airbus. • Sanctions mean Russia doesn't get spare parts, doesn't get service, doesn't get certification. • Many planes have exceeded their certified lifespan.
๐Ÿ”ง 2. "Airplane cannibalization" is now standard
HUR reports: • fully functioning airplanes are disassembled to keep others in the air. • even new planes are dismantled for parts. • spare parts are manufactured "domestically" — which means uncontrolled quality.

This is exactly what happened in Iran after the sanctions. The result: catastrophic crashes.
    ๐Ÿ›ซ 3. Domestic production is a myth
Russia promised 1,000 civilian aircraft by 2030. HUR estimates capacity at 26 per year. MS-21 and Superjet are still dependent on: • Western engines, • Western electronics, • Western composites.
There is no replacement for An-2, An-24/26. They are flying museum pieces.
⚠️ 4. The airports are just as bad

    • 158 airfields have safety violations. • 134 require major repairs. • The maintenance budget is being eroded by the war.
๐Ÿ’€ So… is it dangerous to fly in Russia?

Yes. Not to "get rid of an enemy," but because the system is broken. It's a combination of: • shortage of spare parts, • shortage of certification, • shortage of expertise, • shortage of money, • and political desperation.
It's no longer an airline system. It's an improvised spare parts warehouse at 10,000 meters altitude.

The son of former Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi has been shot dead

Saif al-Islam Gaddafi, 53, one of the sons of former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, was killed in a shooting in the garden of his home near the city of Zintan in western Libya.

According to reports, four heavily armed individuals broke into the property, triggering a firefight in which Gaddafi’s son was killed. The attackers fled immediately afterwards, and their whereabouts remain unknown.

Saif al-Islam Gaddafi was long considered his father’s successor. Muammar Gaddafi ruled Libya from 1969 to 2011.

In 2015, a Libyan court sentenced Saif al-Islam to death in absentia for suppressing peaceful protests during the 2011 revolution. He was released in 2017.

He also faces preliminary charges by the International Criminal Court for alleged crimes against humanity.

In 2021, he announced his intention to run for president, but the elections were postponed indefinitely.
