This comes a day after a commotion at the party's AGM, with a group calling on Muhyiddin Yassin to step down as president

Chaos broke out at the opening of Bersatu’s annual general meeting yesterday after a small group of delegates called on party president Muhyiddin Yassin to resign.
SHAH ALAM: A Bersatu delegate has had his statement recorded by police following the commotion at the opening of the party’s annual general assembly last night.
A party source told FMT the delegate, who is a division chief, was called to the Shah Alam police headquarters to give his statement.
FMT is withholding the delegate’s name pending his comment, and has also contacted Shah Alam police for further details.
The source said two police reports were lodged by Afiq Nardin, the Bersatu Youth brigade commander and also the Selangor Bersatu Youth chief.
According to the source, one report was lodged last night and another today.
At a press conference this afternoon, Bersatu Youth information chief Harris Idaham Rashid said a separate complaint had been submitted to the party’s disciplinary board, calling for action against delegates involved in the incident.
He said those who sparked the commotion have since apologised.
The commotion broke out after party president Muhyiddin Yassin revealed in his keynote address that some quarters had been collecting signatures to oust him.
He warned that if signatures could be used to remove a president, the same could be done against other leaders at various levels of the party.
Muhyiddin also reminded the delegates to remember the party’s constitution and regulations, and maintain order and harmony.
In response, the majority of the delegates broke into chants of “Hidup Tan Sri” in support of Muhyiddin.
