Sidelined as GE15 candidate, Bersatu veep Rafiq quits party


Sidelined as a candidate for the 15th general election (GE15), Bersatu vice president Mohd Rafiq Naizamohideen has decided to quit the party.

Rafiq (above) had eyed the Tangga Batu seat in Malacca, but was not chosen for any seat.

He said this went against political norms where top party leaders would be selected as candidates.

However, Rafiq said he would continue to work in Tangga Batu via an NGO.
