The Malaysian Insider - EC officers have democratic right to join political parties, says chief
KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 10 — Election Commission (EC) officers are within their democratic right to join political parties but they must not be partisan in carrying out their duties, says its chairman Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusof.
The EC chairman disclosed this when responding to accusations by PAS that a senior EC officer in Sabah was holding a key post in the Kinabatangan Umno Youth chapter. The EC’s impartiality has been continuously questioned by the opposition and activists over the past years.
That's so bullshit.
EC officers are certainly within their democratic right to vote for any political party but to argue they may be members of political parties is nonsense.
To further argue that there is no law or regulation preventing EC officers from becoming members of political parties is pettily, bureaucratically and disingenuously argumentative, because that would be ignoring the procedural maxim of 'fairness must not only be done but must be seen to be done'.
And just how the hell can fairness be seen to be done when senior officers in the EC are members of political parties. Thus if the law or regulation doesn't exist, then the EC should have in lieu a departmental policy to ensure no serving EC officer is a member of any political party.
The EC is not unlike the Armed Forces in terms of their vast and ever-present potential to change the course of democratic process. Thus none of their officers should be allowed to become members of political parties while they are still serving in the EC or Armed Forces.
The Chairman of the EC has merely confirmed his organization is unashamedly tainted with the potential to be politically partial, and in the most defiant and arrogant manner.
ah, whats this ? No blame levied on DSAi and PKR?
ReplyDeletewhat a surprise from the MCA running dog?
I think nobody is fooled by your once in a blue moon 'independence' streak when everybody knows who ur working for ?
sunwayopal
you've confirmed yourself as nothing more than a heckler.
ReplyDeleteAnd you're not so tough - I've read your comments at pro UMNO bloga where you posted comments and asked questions like a respectful budak kecil, wakakaka

ReplyDeleteThey just act like the UMNO bastards they r.
U on the other hand r very much a hyprocrite of the highest order.

Mr.Ktemoc have a mental problem.
ReplyDeleteHe keeps accusing others and ignore the reasons for visitors to do what they think is right in his blog.
That "old man" have been a true freedom fighter, in words and actions.
That "old man" do behave somewhat hostile and vulgar in this blog.
He has written thousands of comments, and much more known by Malaysians than Mr.Ktemoc.
I think Mr.Sunwayopal is another freedom fighter.
It seems to me, Mr. Ktemoc cannot accept differences in opinions and keep deleting comments that do not agree with him or exposing him for what they think he is.
Mr. Ktemoc does not manage his blog with fairness, and that invites hecklers.
He is asking for it.
only one person would preposterously called himself a "freedom fighter" and that's the dirty-minded evil old man who is more notoriously known as monsterball.
ReplyDeleteI hesitate ... but nonetheless will quote some of his obscenities here just to show you what that so-called "freedom fighter" has left here, and who dares to claim he is a freedom fighter in words and actions wakakaka.
His comments that I've deleted were, just soem typical examples, "chow chee bai", "Ham kar chan" (the most evil Chinese curse which means "death to your entire family"), "his penis is full of holes", etc - I believe I better stop here due to the stench associated with his comments.
Freedom fighter? wakakaka.
Actually he was once banned from
Susan Loone's blog after making vile racist comments against Indians.
Initially he came to my blog with the brazen and pompous claim he was going to be my protector just he pompously claimed when he was at SL's blog (protection against against who??? If only we can be protected against his dirt-minded obscenities).
He was actually seeking a role for himself and thought (after other bloggers made known their hostilities to him) I would provide him with that mandate, for him to ameliorate his lack of esteem.
I was initially tolerant of him, respecting his age, but when he misbehaved himself with salacious remarks (nothing to do with my socio-political posts), such as teasing a visitor by the name of Buttercup.
Actually Buttercup is a male but the dirty-minded old man wasn't aware of that, and sexcited at the opportunity to harass someone he believed was a woman, began posting salacious remarks about Buttercup's bra size (C cup, D cup, that sort of unpleasant sleaziness about cups) and how the "cup" was dripping with her breast milk, so on so forth. It was just intolerable and I told him off.
As his dirty-minded indulgence got worse, I blasted him severely and he, realizing he no longer was tolerated by me, turned against me, then claiming he was Anwar Ibrahim's protector (instead of mine, wakakaka), and may God save Anwar from Monsterball's dirty-minded obscenities.
He has an evil nature and would impersonate people to place nasty comments here. As if that was not unscrupulous enough, he posted comments under several nicks to provide an impression he has supporters but actually has been his lonesome self - used names such as 'freedom fighter', 'cilipadi', 'Dr No', etc etc and now Kammalluddin wakakaka.
But his favourite nick has been "Freedom Fighter", a sad reflection on his mental illness and secret wish to be someone courageous so as to be admired. Yes, he craved admiration but which he knows he is unlikely to receive given his low class behaviour.
His children have despaired of his bad manners and mental illness.
harm kar chan
ReplyDeletechan tow lantantan
But he was disowned and so family in Penang are safe from the curse he brought to them.
above is an example of the typical obscenity monsterball or "freedom fighter" leaves at my site. What a "freedom fighter", as he would like to known, wakakaka.
ReplyDeleteHe has also shamefully impersonate other visitors to spam their comments here - he can't think or write so he has to cut and paste their comments here
Monsterball the "freedom fighter" wakakaka is so hard up for attention that he even attends Parti Cinta Malaysia's and PPP's fund raising dinners - wakakaka
ReplyDeleteThat shithead approved Kammaruddin first comment to make his reply looks good and start deleting Kama's follow up comments.
ReplyDeleteHe has to leave the first one to enjoy bashing Monsterball.
call yourself Monsterball but actually you don't have any ball, because you keep impersonating others, hiding behind their sarungs - what kind of freedom fighetr are you, wakakaka
