“Apostate and traitor”: Syahredzan reveals the insults hurled against Malays in DAP




WHILE Malaysian politics have evolved over the years with more, some people still have narrow-minded views and stuck on “established” narratives crafted by yesteryear leaders.


And the hate is all over the place when it comes to Malays who join and rise within the ranks of “anti-Malay/Muslim” party, DAP.

Soon after the DAP party congress held over the weekend, political secretary to DAP stalwart Lim Kit Siang, Syahredzan Johan shared on social media the nasty comments sent to him following his appointment as the party central executive committee member (CEC).



(Since getting appointed to the CEC yesterday, these are the messages I have received from certain people. If they think this will dent my spirit, they are wrong. It only strengthens my resolve)



However, netizens came to provide support to Syahredzan and urged him to ignore the trollers and march forward with conviction.

“March forward and stay true to your integrity. Humanity before religiosity. Allah al mustaan. Teruskan bro syah! (Please march on),” said user Syarifah Noraini.



Echoing Noraini’s sentiments, user Chris Quek added: “Syahredzan Bin Johan You know, as I and many others do, when the menyalak (barking) starts, it only means you’re on the right track!

“Keep up the good work, for the people and this nation that we all love so much.”

In the DAP congress held over the weekend, Kit Siang announced his retirement from politics and was later appointed to an advisory role called “Party Mentor”.

Report them to MCMC

Three-time party secretary general Lim Guan Eng vacated his seat as per the party constitution and was appointed as DAP chairman. Former transport minister Anthony Loke succeeded the former as the new secretary general.

While Ketari state assemblyperson Young Syefura Othman got elected as a CEC member, DAP appointed Tengku Zulpuri Shah bin Raja Puji as one of its deputy secretary-general.

On that note, user Muhammad urged Syahredzan to report the trollers to the Communication and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) for their lewd comments.
