Where is your loyalty, Zahid asks Annuar Musa
“PAS leaks” insignificant? Where is your loyalty, Zahid asks Annuar Musa
UMNO president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi chided party veteran Tan Sri Annuar Musa for attempting to downplay the “PAS leaks” controversy.
“It’s nothing unusual, you say? Don’t get fooled. Loyal party member will always be alert on statements or actions made by party leaders, be it allies or foes,” he said, in a Facebook post. “And a loyal person will always prioritise on his own party’s well-being. Any so-called allies who betray our agreement should not be offered any goodwill.”
Last week, several UMNO leaders fumed after a purported PAS meeting minute was exposed, revealing a plot to undermine the nationalist party.
The document indicated a meeting between PAS vice-president Datuk Seri Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar and secretary-general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan with other political figures from Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu), Parti Pejuang Tanah Air and several UMNO leader between March 24 and April 7.
According to the exposé, Bersatu president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin told the PAS leaders that “the Attorney-General and Chief Justice have agreed to expedite the case and sentencing” of Zahid and former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
Yesterday, Annuar urged the public not to play up the “PAS leaks” issue, adding its authenticity could not be verified.
“Based on my checks, it just looked like some PAS leaders were trying to check on certain facts and views of other political party leaders,” the Communications and Multimedia Minister was reported as saying. “We don’t even know whether the document is authentic or otherwise.”
No political posts if UMNO goes down
Touching on the matter, Zahid said that when UMNO’s adversaries conspire against the party, leaders and members alike must take note and remain one-step ahead of the plot.
He stressed that such exposes must be taken seriously as many PAS leaders have made statements detrimental to UMNO’s well-being in the past.
“We should not be dancing to our enemy’s tunes. I hope all UMNO members will close ranks and never betray the party. Without UMNO, none of us can become ministers or get any political appointments later on,” the Bagan Datuk MP added. – April 24, 2022.

Ah.."Loyalty"... the vastly overrated and also underrated characteristic...
ReplyDeleteUnquestioning and unconditional Loyalty has led to most of the worst evils ever perpetrated in the world...men with wicked agendas usually can't carry them out themselves... they needed action, organisation and support from LOYAL lieutenants and downlines....
On the other hand, no organisation can survive and achieve anything worthwhile without LOYALTY from its members, especially when the going gets tough...
So what is the right answer ?
Everyone must have fundamental ground rules and ethical principles...
Loyalty is normally expected, but it is violated if fundamental ethics and integrity is violated.
