NEW YORK: Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said he would bow out as prime minister before the next general election.
bow out as prime minister before the next general election and not after 2 years as PM (05 May 2020) |
The 94-year-old Malaysian prime minister came to power for the second time following his Pakatan Harapan coalition's victory in the May 2018 general election.
“I promise that I will step down before the next election and give way to another candidate. So I may have at the most three years perhaps,” he said at a dialogue held at the Council on Foreign Relations here on Thursday.
During that three years, Dr Mahathir said, he needed to accomplish a few things.

to accomplish a few things - not these again |
So it's confirmed that his '3 years' start from now, meaning he will ONLY handover on the eve of GE15. In other words, he intends to serve a full 5 years term which will bring him close to 99 years old. Even an arrogant self-centred man knows 99 years old has to be his limit.
The greed, arrogance and wilfulness of Mahathir are disgusting, repulsive and horrendous, and underlay his deceitful words and characters.
Lim KS was so confident Anwar Ibrahim will be PM after Mahathir has served two years, and vowed to resign if Mahathir does not keep his words to hand over to DSAI. Well, will Lim KS resign now, or will he be like Mahathir, a blatant arrogant evil liar?
u r too old to bring in anything new, n fear to reform anything old, just get lost la.
ReplyDelete3 more years from now is your own words, don't get your knickers in a twist, it's embarrassing walking as though you are in a hurry to piss yourself, as far as reforms are concerned we can forget about it, he is just buying time to strengthen and consolidate bersatu, if anwar, dap and amanah can assure him that bersatu won't be bullied after stepping down, anwar can take over yesterday wakakaka
